I also praise the descriptive and well-written narration. Loved the ending, though sad Jeffrey ended that way.

Well...first of all I'm not a horror story fan. But this is really well written, apart from the same problem that I have, and that is of keeping the tenses same throughout the story. It held my attention to the very end.
So...thanks to you Russ...I need not have to read another horror story again in my life.
