I read this one a couple days ago and let it pal around with the voices in my head. I hobnobbed with my fellow wizards and, I think, I have something that might satisfy.
It's A New Day in a familiar way.
In his typically Texan epic epoch, glenmarcus includes trysting, triumph and tragedy while providing a toe-tapping tune track for this high-octane reading.
His casting is meticulous and his format is tuned so well that you easily imagine how it would look on a silver screen. A dollop of strong characters and a heapin'-helpin' of gun powder are an unstable mixture that Glen dishes out without compunction.
His dialogues volley quickly and, along with the story that unfolds at a high pace, you'll need to staple down your stetson as you follow this one, there are unpleasant surprises for the unwary.
Much toil has been invested in this grand apocalyptic horse-opera and the reader is rewarded by a consistent high level of workmanship throughout the piece. Unlike my own cryptic mish-moshes, a single reading suffices to comprehend the importance of this work to its author.
A laurel and hearty handshake to glenmarcus on this and future tasks he sets for himself. There is, of course, always room for improvement but, as you must all know by now, this author simply oozes with potential.
