Thank you as soon as i saw your message i went to the book and read the chapters i had missed and then realised what you meant, instantly i deleted it from my favourites.

I was disgusted to be honest, and i agree with you that book should be for adults not little teenage girls.

And i don't think you finished reading the book it turns out her brother Justin was actually her father and the boy she flirted with was her actual brother. This disturbed me even more to read so i think you did the right thing. and i fully support you about this.

Thanks, Faith. She sent me another message full of nonsense and bad attitude, pointing to another book on incest that was posted for 16-year-olds as justification for hers, and I answered her as best I could without getting too angry. Here's my response:

You so don't get it. Yes, there are others who erroneously post their work in younger categories. That doesn't make it right, hon. All I was trying to do was keep you from getting in trouble with the administration, since I know there are some who would report you for it. It's happened to others who did the same thing, and if that weren't the case, I probably wouldn't have bothered to warn you.

Seems you just aren't mature enough to understand when someone is trying to be nice. No, I'm not your mother. And you aren't my daughter. That's not the point. I've been with BookRix for years now, and have taken a lot of time out of my own life to help younger writers improve their craft, to encourage and help them whenever possible. Even when I correct their grammar and spelling, they appreciate it, because they're serious about being writers. For you to get all full of yourself and offended over me offering to keep you from possibly getting kicked off the site, makes me realize how true that saying is that goes, "No good deed goes unpunished." I'm a published author and don't need your approval, agreement, or friendship. But I did wish to offer all of that to you.

Oh, well. I'm not the one who's missing out. I hope you find your way, and genuinely wish you the best.

I totally understand when your dealing with an immature person who doesn't know when to stop. Plus i wouldn't want someone younger than me to read that book because i'm 17 and i was a creeped out and disgusted imagine someone that's like 13 or even younger.

if it was me i swear i would have flipped out straight away but i find it so professional of you to actually keep your personal feelings to aside and just deal with the matter no matter how childish the girl was acting.

To be honest, I did a lot of deleting before sending the final version, lol. That's the beauty of being a writer. I was able to type out all of my emotions on the matter, rant, rave, get all kinds of sarcastic and nasty, and do it using big, satisfying words. And then, the grown-up in me tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Er, allow me to edit that, dear." So I got to release my extreme ire, then pull it back into the realm of what's right, and make my point without tearing the poor girl apart.

When I was younger, if I got angry or frustrated and didn't have time to sit down and write (keep in mind, this was waaayyyy before computers and writing was exactly that - pen, paper, sore hand-muscles), I would go to the piano and beat the daylights out of Beethoven. Also very satisfying, lol.

I know the feeling when you can rant on in your writing and like you said it's the beauty of it ^.^

I love those days when i'm emotional and all i do is write, write and write. that's what writing is about. (finally someone who get's me)
