You have beautiful descriptions. You really take the person back and I can see everything you describe. Well done, I loved it. You have my vote!

A nice slice-of-life vignette. Reminds me why I don't want kids, in a good way - the story about handcuffs had me laughing. Great writing.

Hi Charlie, thanks a bunch for the read and comments; parents share a unique bond. There is no imagination great enough, and no fiction reachable into the unsuspecting, weary-eyed offerings parents face not only in the raising, but also in the following years of one's offspring. Wa do, Elizabeth

It's interesting to see how one unfortunate incident can lead to a discovery of items long tossed aside. I can see how much the items meant to you because of the connections to past events.

Your descriptions provide visual pictures of the items. I found your piece to be well written. The idea of your story is unique.

This was very good, Elizabeth. Every time a memory was brought up in the story, a memory of my own came into play of my daughter when she was young. I think this is the magic in the story, to make us remember and feel as we read. I did not know a hamster would pick up its young like that. I learn something knew every day. :-) And my husband would always say-- "Your mother is going to have to spank you if you don't knock it... mehr anzeigen
