What was I expecting when I began reading this short story? A young woman named Jamie going off to college; cavorting through the campus fun? Take note, this is a well-thought out, finely plotted psycho thriller. Disturbing in the "second" diary discovery, culminating in a weird but perfect ending. Shades of Hitchcock's masterpiece, "Psycho".
It meets all the criteria of the contest and raises the bar. Congratulations, Dennis. Welcome aboard, writer. My vote.
