Loved it! A precise and accurate description of the human response to loss. You've addressed the internal conflict between logic and emotion well. My suggestion is when you (hopefully) publish this in paperback, you should work on a video narration of the same in the form of a short telefilm (must, must). I could give the direction a shot! ;)
