an uplifting book for those times when you need to be.
What an amazing journey but inspirational at the same time. It's sad when it takes something like losing a loved one to allow us to see the light and a new way out!! Beautiful story of a mother and her children.
this is a really good book is it fiction or non fiction
Things happens for a reason, indeed and we do learn by mistakes. :) this book is great! :)

ladybug, this story is not a like or dislike example of the trials some people must endure. on your profile your listed age is forty-something;however,the number behind your user name sounds more correct for your level of emotional maturity. I'm sure most 19 year olds would be able to empatize with this mother's plight, but I wouldn't hold it against them if they didn't,knowing with time and maturity they would learn too. at 43, it's too late for you!!!

Hi peggysue.63. I thank you for your honest opinion of my work. Actually my age is 56 (as stated on my personal page), not 43. This story is a true chapter from my own life. I'm sorry if you didn't find it emotionally mature enough, but these were my feelings and emotions from this horrible time in my youth. I tried to tell the story from my memories of that period (in which I was only 19 years old). I suppose that unless you have experienced the loss of a child you would not know the feelings evoked by that experience. And I was truly married to that man who was characterized in the story, which made the experience much more difficult. The contest was a "short story" one, and I had to tell this very difficult tale in a limited space, so I did my best with the circumstances present.
I am currently going through a quite trying time. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 weeks ago, had a double radical mastectomy 2 weeks ago and will be starting chemo and radiation in a week. I hope to see my grandchildren grow up and have children of their own. I pray that I am able to grow old with my husband.
I wish you good holidays. God bless you.
