I see what you mean about mixing in information and dialog. Putting characterization along with conversation worked well for your fine story. This was a perfect short story that only a pro could write./joeparente

This is a good plot, I agree with the others, just reading it wore me out, lol... with the grandson that is and I'm half your protagonist's age. It certainly took me back to when my kids were that young.

What a GRAND story. I walked with you every step of the way, almost felt the horses breathing on me as they ran toward us. And the grandson, a delight to fill such a story of love and human goodness.
