The book is very powerful and does reflect many of my views as well. I found there was great depth and beauty in this. Keep penning them
I thought I would stop reading but it picked up wonderfully when it moved on closer to 2000. Directness and holding back none, I like that a lot. I write, try to write Haiku that uses very few syllables. I try to use one sense, one thought, one POV to drill into people's mind and let them see what I see, in wide view HD. I couldn't handle so much changes in POVs in your poems. I think font you used may have something to do... mehr anzeigen
I really liked this collection of poems written in free verse style and painting snow with your words. Imagery is exquisite and expressive. Great work!

The collection is very good, very affecting. You can't forget -- that vital event in your life settles in your bones to stay.
Oops! I guess evapasco already used Rich and Imagery. So I'll amend my comment and say, An abundance of text induced visual treats.
They all provide insight into the Author and are filled with rich imagery. "Cusp of spring" really stands out in my opinion. Nice work.
I enjoyed reading your book. Some of the poems expressed great sadness which I really felt through your words. While others were more accountive and cheerful. My favorite poem must be 'the bear and the butterfly' just beautiful. Nice work
Man's cruelty in killing for 'sport' is a blot on our spirit.
Any animal that is killed should only be for meat plus tanning but outlawing hunting is not the answer. If the deer are allowed to procreate without limits - deer die of starvation.
There was a moratorium on hunting in the Adirondacks in the early '70's and the hundreds of deer carcuss lined near edge of woods and across roads was heart wrenching.

As a vegetarian for nearly 50 years, I do not believe in killing any animals for any reason. However, I do appreciate your feelings about deer starving, and know that the increase in deer population due to moratoriums can increase that possibility. Though I never bought that... mehr anzeigen
