Danee --- very well written. I wish I could say that I'm surprised, but I can't... you've been writing for longer than I've known you - and you've always been a master with the pen. This is truly a work of love and I'm incredibly impressed the story. It comes together very nicely. You should be very proud of the work you have done!

Yes, it was the balloons and friends outside the door that got me too. This was such a moving story, and even though I knew that there wasn't going to be a miraculous recovery I still hoped, like Big Derek.
There was a point where I got a bit confused as to who everyone was - there were suddenly all these people there, just when I was completely focused on this couple and their son - but I sorted it all out and kept reading. Well done Danee, and good luck with the competition. Really good writing.

A great story that had me reading through tears from the moment DJ's parents were suprised with the banner and balloons to the last word of your story. Your story was so overwhelming it brought tears to my eyes. I felt the impact as a parent losing her child to a deadly disease, which makes you feel so helpless…, a very thought provoking and a compelling story. I thought my story about Drive-by shootings are sad stories but this was also a gripping story…I enjoyed reading your material. I have voted for your book and I will add it to my favorites; I would suggest you read The Diagnosis by my friend Leslie David Riddick, even though, he was diagnosis with an illness but he has survive to tell his journey with MS and Pulmonary lung disease.
