OMG i was SO not expecting that at the end! The whole time I was trying to figure out why they were hiding, and it never actually came to me what happened. Not until the end, at least! :)
This is soo good...but really twisted. That she would kill herself and her daughter...CREEPY!!
and I looooove Stephen King! I love the stuff that scares me like this with everyday things. Well, maybe not everyday, but non-paranormal stuff, ya know? Paranormal's good too though. Hehehe paranormal's my specialty :D

Oh my....I was not expecting that ending. A good horror scares the pants off of me, and I rarely read the genre as I get so involved in stories I inevitably end up with all the lights on reading Winnie-the-Pooh to make myself feel better.

That said I liked how contained this was, and again, I prefer longer stories to shorter ones, so was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

I think the true horror was that love could be twisted into something so cruel. Worse, that even the girl's spirit could not rest...

being buried alive has now had added starkness of being dragged into the depth of death by a loved one - I read King for a long time but he frankly scared me with everyday happenings - so you aim to pick up his shovel..er..pen and continue on. Well you certainly got a good start with this one...want to say good job but my reaction is YIKES!..I did vote and keep tho'...Paula
