It was great to my books start to appear on all the different online outlets yesterday. This thrilling event coincided with my blog mariathermann.wordpress.com receiving its 1000 follower, so a good day all round!

The boyfriend of one of my dearest friends just popped round to pick up a spare mattress from my place, which he heroically managed to carry down our steep staircase and across the car park in the pouring rain, where he succeeded to squeeze the thing - and himself - into a London cab and transport the beasty home. I thought of him in terms of a comic book hero: London housewives can breathe again, for Matress Man has saved the day. His superpowers? He can flag down a speeding taxi with the wink of an eye and frighten temperamental springs back into their cushy nest with just one growl. Any superhero's among your friends today?

Another gorgeous warm day here in London, which makes such a wonderful change from living in Wales for the past few years...I was beginning to grow fins and webbed feet with all that torrential rain.

Went for a fabulous walk along the Thames early this morning; took lots of pictures of St. Paul's, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Westminster and Big Ben. A yummy cup of freshly brewed coffee from Starbucks seemed to have my name on it...a leisurely stroll and a sit down on a bench...just closing my eyes for 5 minutes won't hurt?

And then I remembered I still owed a fellow writer 5 long, long articles about Wales. BOTHER!

Yay! Willow the Vampire & the Sacred Grove is now on Bookrix.com! Hopefully, I didn't mess up the upload, sighs the technophobe...

Finally! The first two Willow the Vampire stories are up and running on Bookrix! Phew. All that remains is slogging through the revision and editing process on Willow the Vampire & the Sacred Grove, and my full length novel can join the merry cluster of books now available on this lovely venue. Does everyone else detest the formatting process as much as I do?

finally got round to uploading my German language short story collection, Inspektor Beagle ermittelt (Inspector Beagle investigates) on these august pages.

In three humorous murder mystery short stories set against the backdrop of WWII Inspector Beagle and his colleagues try to uphold the law, while all around them the world is falling to bits. It is 1941; the town Mumsgate on the east coast of England is plagued by unwanted visits from Hitler & Co. Meanwhile, Inspector Beagle and Sergeant Beanstalk, Constable Roddy Winters and police dog Monty are plagued by a series of murders.

A rich aristocrat vanishes without trace and nobody sheds a tear. A seemingly harmless old woman is brutally murdered in a baffling crime that leads to a German spy ring. A respected judge first loses his moral scruples and then his head. Literally.

Bombs fall and buildings crumble before Inspector Beagle’s even shown his warrant card. His police car has run out of petrol and is turned into a vegetable patch. There may be no bacon, eggs or sausages, but as far as Inspector Beagle is concerned, justice and humanity will never be in short supply.

Hello Everyone,

nice to join the Bookrix community! Since I messed up my book cover first time round, I'm now waiting for the good people at the helpdesk to grant me access. I must be the only truly stupid newbie here! Admittedly, I'm still hoping there are more newbies who found that some upload screens are less helpful than others...
