Hi Kat! Wholeheartedly agree with you! I've noticed how many comments included reading more about how to write poetry; esp. for rhyme. Will definitely keep that in mind for my next attempt!

Petra, your poem was charming and fun (like you).

If you're struggling with rhyme (as I sometimes do), I would advise that the best thing you can do is read as much of the classical poets as you can. The masters have much to teach and the classics are the ones that loved to write rhyming verse.
As you know, I do have a penchant for rhyme and I can only say that I continue to read as much as possible.

As a writer, I've found that writing takes lots of time and work. A book that I would recommend reading is Creating Poetry by John Drury. I'm not sure if it is available at most stores or not. It is a good resource for writing poetry.
