hey there thanks for giving this a read. i havent actually visited Port Townsend this book is based on research i had done on the area and my imagination from the most beautiful pictures i found. INFACT i have never left the UK so to hear from not just one person but 2 that i described their home town perfectly means so much to me. Port Townsend is defo a place i would like to visit and those Tunnels you just described sounds perfect for my follow on story to this one :P we will just have to wait and see. Wonderful read, left me hanging for the rest of the story. Also, what a wonderful aspect of my home town! Are you adding Fort Worden to the surrounding locale? It is very cool place. The old bunkers are eerie outside and in. I know I grew up there from age 4 to 18. There is or should say was a tunnel or tunnels that connected the bunkers from up top of hill to the beach bunkers. I was too scared to go through them. My other friends did, That was back in the 60's. The State parks took over in 1972, when we had to move out. It messed up having the one set of bunkers in my backyard. Literally. The State parks cemented the openings due to kids going in. One bunker up on the hill had an alter set up in one of the inner rooms. I am 58 yrs old and still love to wander around my old playground with my best friend of 54 yrs. She's an story all in her own right. :)
