Also, very intriguing. A very in-depth book that leaves the reader wondering what will happen next. Every step of the way, the reader is there with the main character as he plays a dangerous game of chess, and they are all surprised, yet not too surprised at the same time when the woman does something unexpected. Absolutely riveting. You had me rooted to the spot until I had finished reading the book. Great job. Keep up the amazing work.

Very well written and riveting story. I was kind of hoping he would be playing for her soul.
Although It was a risk, that he would lose his opportunity to spend eternity with his family. I don't know if I could take such a risk.

Mr. Laird grabs one's attention from the first line and keeps it throughout the entire story. He wastes no words on overly verbose or unnecessarily descriptive passages, but rather gets to the point, moving the story along at a gentle pace.

I did not expect the ending, so it was with a happy smile that I read the final line with great satisfaction.
