Writing a book was never easy and I didn’t know this until I started writing this book. And it was more hard for me because I had never written a book before. Even I hadn’t read any of the books. I don’t really know whom should I mention here, because no one knew about this book and nobody would thought about this. But there are some people whom I can mention here.

First of all, my mom and dad who always supported me and encouraged me. My grandfather, who made me able to write this book without him this was never be possible.

My brothers, Tabish Khan and Syed Mohammad Tabrez. Who had already published their books made me start mine. Without them I would have never started writing this book. 18 years old me- Syed Mohammad Tabrez The Stars Of Torment- Tabish Khan

The main and very special Zainab Kalam. Who is my best friend, a soulmate, my inspiration, my motivation everything. I started writing this book but I didn’t know how to complete it. I never thought about completing this book. But she inspired me to do this. She was eager to read this book. It is her birthday on 27th of November. So, I decided to surprise her by giving this book on her birthday. At first I was worried if I would be able to complete this book until her birthday. But thankfully it got completed and you are holding this in your hand.

Some more people I am thankful for that they came to my life. My brothers, Syed Mohammad Altamush, with whom I may have spent less time but those time were too precious and enough for me and I wish to spent many more. He is also going to be married with Fatima Zabeen soon who is also a very nice and a kind person. The second one, Syed Mohammad Tabrez, I already mentioned is a biggest inspiration for me. I spent much of the childhood with him, learning everything from him. He also motivates me all the time. He knows everything about me and also understands me well. Fardeen Khan who too made my childhood enjoyable. An my sisters too, Sania Api, Nausheen, Aliya(my little sister). Bazgha Api whom I met two years ago is very kind having a best sense of humour.

This is my first step into the world of writing and I hope that all of you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed bringing this to you.

About the book

Moreover this is a very simplified book written in very common language. This book is easily readable for the people of all ages. It is also designed for making movies on as most of the part of this book is written in a script. This is also my first experience of writing a book. I have neither written a book before nor read. I have never read a novel. So, I don’t had much idea of writing a book but the little bit I knew I used it here. I hope you people will like it and next time, I will try more harder to make another one better. Please, ignore if any mistake is made as this is a self published book. Special thanks to Zainab. ♥

PROLOGUE

After having much of the foods we had paid for we headed to our second and last destination of that day as well as of Patna. ‘Central mall’, which was only 6 minutes away from One Mall. We walked through there. It was most visited place of people living there. It was such a nice and large place. We walked into it. There was a little rush. I held Fatima’s hand and took her inside. We went to the men’s section first. Fatima went to the shirts section and selected a shirt for me and said, “It will look good on you.” She took me near the mirror, “Look it really looks good on you.” “Hmm.” I said.

As I was looking into the mirror, she said incredulously Wtf! I thought she was talking about the shirt. I asked her, “What? What’s wrong with this?” she didn’t look at me and ran downstairs and then toward the exit. I ran behind her trying to stop. She didn’t utter a word, ran outside and stood just under the advertisement screen placed in playing area outside the mall. I said in a soft voice, “Fatima?” she was crying. I was totally blank that time. I asked, “Fati? What happened, are you okay? She said nothing and hugged me crying. I wasn’t getting that time what the really fuck happened to her. I held her more tightly and said, “Stop crying, just tell me what happened? Aren’t you feeling well? We can go home. She replied scoffing,

“No, I am fine. I just….!” Then she suddenly said,

“I saw him. He is here.”

Part One

AMBULANCE GIRL

Smoke was looking better in the moonlight. I was simply sitting on my roof with my coffee and one of my best friend Shivam, talking about some illogical stuff that we always do. As the tricolor of the upper part of the India gate was reflecting in my eyes. As soon as our coffee got cold, we heard an ambulance siren passing through my house in the empty road.

When I ducked my head to see into the ambulances’ window, the slow wind started blowing through my hair strands, the ambulance that was passing through me became slow and then I saw a girl lying in the ambulance with an oxygen mask in her mouth and some blood pipes connected to her veins, as the ambulance passed through me all things went normal. The ambulance was at its full speed. I didn’t see the actual face of the girl.

Shivam said, “Hey, what happened ?”

I said, “Did you see her?”

“No, but I think she is a new girl” and said “Ok” leave it I have to go now. I went down with him to say him a bye. He started his bike and said that we will meet tomorrow. “OK bye”.

Then I returned to my bed thinking
