General Tips that You Can Use for All Over Beauty

Welcome to the first chapter of your Beauty Basics ebook. Inside each chapter you will receive valuable information, tips and techniques that you can use to enhance your own natural beauty, so you look as good on the outside as you are on the inside.

We've all heard the old saying "beauty comes from the inside" and there is a lot of truth to that statement! However, as you probably already know there are things that we can do to help enhance our natural beauty on the outside as well.

- Get plenty of sleep

To help keep yourself looking Young and beautiful be sure that you get an adequate amount of sleep every night. Never underestimate the effect that too little sleep can have on your body because it can literally age you. The average person needs from six to eight hours of sleep a night to rejuvenate their body, skin, and brain.

- Break out the baking soda

Baking soda can be your best friend when it comes to staying beautiful. It is one of those products that you should always keep handy. For beauty purposes you can use it to make your shampoo work better, especially if you have light colored hair because it will remove any residue left behind by chlorine or other things. You can also use it to whiten your teeth, take the pain of sunburn away and the best part is all this can be done for around the dollar.

- Pamper your feet

To keep your feet looking beautiful, especially during the warmer, dryer summer months, try applying Vaseline to them daily. Make sure to deeply massage it into your feet. It will keep your feet smooth and soft. Then go treat yourself to a pedicure and get a pair of strappy, sassy sandals, and show of your cute, new pedicure. With this trick you'll have the best looking feet of the season!

- Reduce the shine

If you have skin that tends to get oily and shiny, you can do one of two things throughout the day. If you want to be fancy, you can buy a packet of face-blotting sheets. These smell wonderful and are impregnated with scented transparent powder. Or you can take a sheet of regular toilet paper and press, not rub, on the oily areas. Another option is to buy a face wash that keeps your skin from getting oily and shiny.

- Extend the life of your eye shadow

Make any eye shadow bend to your will. If you are bored with the shadow choices in your everyday makeup palette, it is definitely time to spice it up a bit and get creative. Try using a moistened eye shadow brush to apply your shadow. This will give the eye shadow more pigmentation in its color and it will be brighter and more interesting than it was before. You can also use try this trick out as eyeliner!

- Switch to a pencil

Try using an eye pencil instead of liquid eyeliner if you can.
