Chapter 1 – Why The Caribbean Islands are an Ideal Vacation?

You’re looking at the photos in magazines, the television commercials and they just make your heart melt. You see the bright shining sun, white sandy beaches and crystal clear water (it’s really not blue like some people think). This scenario represents part of the “paradise” that is touted amongst the islands in the Caribbean.

It’s always good when you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday rigors of life. There are those who can’t seem to get a break, no matter what. There’s work five days a week, add to that rush hour mayhem coming and going, fixing dinner for the family, helping children with their homework, being involved in their after-school sports activities, and the list goes on and on.

Looking at those advertisements or commercials, getting away to one of the Caribbean islands sounds like a good idea. It’s better to go for a week. That way, you’ll get to experience what it’s really like.

Imagine the things you can do if you take a vacation to one of the Caribbean islands. In addition to the beautiful scenery, you can partake in swimming, snorkeling, diving, visiting rainforests and so much more to do.

Or you can enjoy a few rounds of golf on any given day. The skies are always bright and the sun is always shining to keep the grass green and the golf greens pristine. In fact, from some views of some of the islands, you can see the plush greens and the holes from a distance.

You can get a taste of the rich and different cultures of the islands. Each Caribbean island is unique in its own way. Take a tour to see what the island has to offer. Check out some of their historical places. If you are a liquor connoisseur, you’ll want to explore the rum factory in places like St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Don’t forget to enjoy the delicious local cuisine, it’s not difficult to acquire a taste for some of the island specialties. Or if you’re looking for a fun nightlife, you can check out the casinos and other hot spots. Listen to some of the local music, like reggae or calypso. Get up and move to the beat. That’s part of what going on vacation in the Caribbean is about, having fun!

Once you’ve packed, purchased your ticket to that particular island and enjoy yourself, you may not want to come back home!

Chapter 2 - How To Prepare For Your Caribbean Vacation

When you get ready to prepare for your Caribbean vacation, there’s quite a bit involved. One of the important things you need to do is to make sure that you are packing the right kind of clothing and accessories. Since you’re going to an island, the weather will be warm.

Depending on your party, you should have at least one or two large suitcases and maybe a duffel bag. The larger luggage should be on wheels so they’re easier to transport throughout the airport and the hotel.

If you plan on packing quite a bit of clothing, you should roll it up. This will provide you more space for the other clothes you plan to take with you. It’s always good to take at least a few extra sets of clothing to change in.

People (especially children) are prone to mess up their clothing while they’re playing or eating, etc. The kind of clothing you should pack should be of cooler material. Cotton, khakis and linens would fit the bill.

It can be a mixture of pants, shorts, sundresses, cropped pants, t-shirts, short blouses, etc. Denim clothing would probably be too much for the tropical weather, so you may want to leave it at home. However, you may want to include a jacket or lightweight sweater to take. You may want to wear if you in the hotel or on evenings when it gets cool.
