THE START OF NATHANWANTED!!!!!!

He was only 6 when he started singing and performing, going to win several notable competitions, including:

 

Britney Spears Karaoke Kriminals. (2003)

Cheltenham Competition Festival of Dramatic Arts. (2003)

 

The Door Youth Project’s “Undiscovered Youth Talent Contest” In Derker. (2004)

 

Sykes attempted to represent UK in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 held in Lillehammer, Norway. In the British qualifying finals, he sang "Born to Dance "coming 3rd overall, after winner Cory Spedding and runner-up Andrew Merry.

After all these he went on and had won a spot in the five-member boy band The Wanted.

 

EARLY LIFE!!!

Attended the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School in Westminster, Londonat the age of 11. After completing GCSE's (General Certification of Secondary Education) and graduating he came back to Gloucester and attended the sixth form at the selective Ribston Hall High School, however he did not manage to complete his A-levels (a school leaving qualification) do to band commitments.

A CAREER THREATENING EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!

In April 2013, it was announced that after being on voice rest for almost a month, Sykes would have to undergo special throat surgery on his 20th birthday. Sykes had suffered from vocal nodules and this condition is career-threatening.

 

Nath tells us that right before the surgery he had a MAJOR panic attack!!!

 

As part of the recovery process, it has been reported that Sykes still has to undergo speech and vocal therapy so he doesn’t damage his cords again and in order for him to sing with his full vocal range without causing damage from doing all the heavy note carrying he does in the band.

 

The length of the healing process is unknown.

 

Sykes has admitted to have practiced helping his voice and now he knows how to treat his voice, and when pushing his voice to hard he knows how to control not pushing his voice limits so this does not happen again.

"I ALMOST QUIT THE WANTED LIFE"

While Sykes is still recovering from surgery E! entertainment launches a reality TV around the boys during the summer of 2013, called The Wanted Life. He had told us that he was starting to want out.

 

 

“It was just too much. Everywhere I looked there was a camera, and I wasn’t sure if I could deal with it. I was ill and shut away in my room and I just wanted to leave. I got really, really homesick.”

Age he started singing and performing was at 6 years.

 

He has been in over six singing/performing competitions in England, but didn’t get anywhere until The Wanted.

 

He is the baby of the group.

 

He is considered the neatest and most organized among his bandmates.

 

His musical training and love of R&B and soul music styles came in handy, lending credibility to the band.

 

Nathan and his band member Tom Parker helped a fan after she fainted and had a seizure.

 

They began touring in support of the album in the first quarter of 2011 while rapidly preparing for the sophomore album.

 

Debut single “All Time Low” was released in summer 2010 to a delighting result.

 

The song went straight to number two 3 weeks after its release.

THE HITS!!!!!!

In 2009, after a highly competitive, nationwide audition process, a 16 year old Nathan Sykes was chosen to be a member of the five member boy band The Wanted where in the next year as a member of The Wanted.

 

A year after joining The Wanted it’s self-titled album was released which included there first single All Time Low which hit No.1 on the UK charts.

 

Whose namesake debut album has sold more than 400,000 copies!!!

 

The album went to launch three U.K. Top 20 singles

 

Rose to No. 4 in the U.K.

 

Heart Vacancy hit No. 2. but hit No.4 on the U.K. album charts in the FIRST WEEK of release.

WHY THEY SPLIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When the Wanted where coming to an end we were told that Nathan decided he wanted out after collaborating with Ariana Grande on " Almost is never Enough".

 

In addition to growing tension between the band members, between the band members, the singer (Max George) admits that they couldn't compete with 1-D's huge success. Nathan Sykes has said that this split could be quite a lengthy one because of his solo success.

 

But in all fairness he admits that its just a break at the moment.
