The entry way was paved with carrara white marble (it’s really expensive, really beautiful white marble) that lead up to two grand stair cases that looked positively radiant in glory. Not five feet from where we were standing hung an extremely ornate and large tear drop crystal chandelier that scattered infinite amounts of rainbows across the floor. There were two mahogany wood tables on either side of the door, decked out in lavish flowers. Calla lilies to be exact. I caught their scent and walked over to them. Calla lilies had always been my favorite flowers. To me they just looked royal and very elegant. They were the very opposite of me. I frowned at the thought. I did feel very out of place here. I just didn’t have the heart to mention anything about it to Jaylin. He was so joyous at the thought of me being here and the last thing I wanted to do was ruin his mood with my wallowing in self pity.
A pair of arms wrapped around my waist and I couldn’t help but smile. I relaxed into Jaylin; breathing in his familiar scent. He always wore tag wild card simply because he knew it was my favorite cologne for guys. Though lately I think the scent is starting to grow on him because according to Kyle, he wears it even when I’m not around. He slowly pulled me back to the center of the large entry way. “Kyle went to have a look around.” He whispered in my ear. His breath tickiling it insesently. “Come on. I want to show you my room.” I felt my heart do a little summer sault in my chest. He kissed my neck softly and it sent shivers up my spine. I felt his fingers fidgeting with the zipper on my hoodie. I looked down and he was slowly unzipping it. I could feel my chest contracting and my breath became un even. I was suddenly hyper aware of everywhere his body touched mine. I felt his body shake with his silent laughter. “You can stop getting nervous now, Alondra. It’s not like I’m gonna rape you. Mainly because you cant rape the willing, but-“ I spun around on him and smacked his chest. As I did he finished taking off my hoodie. “You really think I’m that easy, huh? Is that why you wanted to take me to your room? Thought I’d just give my virginity to you?!” I snapped at him and pulled away from his arms.
I saw a glimmer of sorrow I his eyes and felt a twinge of guilt. I crossed my arms in a physical denial of comforting him. “Um, no.” he said with a bite to his words. I could tell I’d hurt him. He never got that way with me. Never. “I was joking. With a capital J., and a little F.Y.I; I just wanted to spend some alone time with you. You are my girlfriend remember?” the bite in his voice had faded to just a sorrow. I couldn’t help but run to him now. I wrapped my arms around him and he just kept his head down. He made no motion to hug me back at all. I winced at the emotional pain that led to. “Jaylin.” I whispered. He still didn’t raise his head. I caught his chin between my pointer finger and my thumb and manually lifted his head. His gaze met mine and a tear trickled down his cheek. I bit my lip and gently wiped the tear away with my thumb. I cupped his face in both of my hands and wispered softly. “Jaylin. I am so very sorry.” I told him as i felt a tear of my own fall. “I was wrong to think that. I am so sorry. I love you Jaylin. More than anyone or anything.” I gazed intently into his eyes willing him to see the truth of my words. He turned his head and kissed my right palm. “Would you swear to always be mine?” his words came out in a soft whisper. I couldn’t hold back the smile that crossed my face now. I wrapped my arms around his neck and puled him close to me in a tight embrace.
“Always.” I whispered.
I felt his arms wrap around my waist snuggly. My heart leapt in my chest and I pulled back a short distance so I could look at his face. Tears still flowed down his face leaving hot trails behind them but an adoring smile graced his face. “I love you too, Alondra.” He told me in a soft, sweet voice. He pulled me into yet another embrace and he kissed my hair. I had never felt so loved in my life. He was the very definition of perfect in my eyes. And it didn’t matter what everyone else would think. Because this heavenly man was mine, and mine alone.
He pulled away and grabbed my hand and led me up the white marble stair case to the left of the entry to the living room. When we were about half way up, he slipped his arm around my waist and kissed my cheek softly. I smiled and we kept walking. We walked down an abnormally long hallway and then he stopped at a door that had a sign on it that read: BEWARE OF DOG! And then underneath it said: WILL LICK YOUR FACE! I chuckled at it and shook my head. Sometimes Jaylin was such a child. But then I really had no room to talk, did I? A bemused smile played on his lips. “What? It’s true. You saw that much for yourself.” He said and laughed. He opened the door and led me inside. The first thing I saw was a giant flat screen TV hanging on the wall which were a charcoal grey. When I looked to my left I saw what I recognized as more cherry wood built into a desk and a black swivel chair pulled up to it. Beside it was a bookshelf filled with books of varying sizes and colors. To my right was a pool table, which I must say, piqued my interest more than anything else so far. Beyond it was a king size bed. I walked to it, letting Jaylin’s arm fall from my waist. It was a metal framed bed that had black roses twisted along the bars on the head and foot board. The comforter was black and red and the sheet was soft satin done in the same colors as the top blanket.
I reached out to touch it. I felt it’s smooth silky texture and I felt Jaylin’s hand on mine. He sat down on the bed and pulled me into his lap. I snuggled into his chest. I rested my head over the area where his heart was and felt the rhythm of it. I timed my breath with his and my heart slowed to a steady beat that matched his. I sighed and traced patterns on his chest. I felt him shudder under my touch and I looked up. He was looking down at me and a flush of pink colored his cheeks. “Um, that kinda tickled sorry.” He told me as I watched him blush deeper. I smiled and reached my head up and kissed him lightly. His hand reached around to the back of my neck and pulled my face closer to his. He kissed me again, this time deep and passionate. I could feel his longing mixing with mine. He was still so gentle with his every touch. I felt the sting of tears and before I knew it I was crying. Jaylin pulled away slowly and looked at me with worry and concern deep in his eyes. “Alondra, what’s wrong? Did I do something to hurt you?” he asked. His voice was frantic. “No.” I answered with a smile. “Quite the opposite actually. I have never been touched so gently I all my life and never have I loved someone this much.” He wrapped his arms around me and just held me. “What did I ever do to deserve you?” he asked more to himself than me but I answered anyways. “You are the absolute sweetest person on the planet and you always put others before yourself, Hun. You are a true prince charming. And by some miracle your mine.”
He kissed the top of my head and asked, “You think we should go find Kyle? He’s been gone a while and it’s easy to get lost if you don’t know your way around.” I sighed heavily. “Yeah. I just don’t want to get up.” “So you’re being lazy now?” he asked with a mocking tone. “Yeppers! Why? What do you have up your sleeve?” I questioned giving him a suspicious stare. He grinned devilishly and set me on the edge of the bed while he got up. I leaned back slightly when he came close. His smile grew and he picked me up and threw me on his shoulder. “Ahhhh!” I screamed but was laughing all the same. I beat lightly on his back ordering him to put me down. He just walked out of the room with me still atop his shoulder. His laughter carried down the long hall and sounded even louder. When we got to the end of the hall he finally decided to set me down. When he did I crossed my arms across my chest and pursed my lips. I looked at him out of the corner of my eye. He was staring at me with those wide puppy-dog eyes that always melted any walls I had up. “You wanna talk about me not playing fair! You know that is the easiest way to get me to do whatever you want.” I told him in a playful voice. His eyes gleamed with amusement. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and nearly jumped out of my skin again. Kyle was standing there laughing his ass off at my reaction. I growled and hid behind Jaylin. I stuck my tongue out at Kyle and he just smiled. “Don’t stick it out unless you plan to use it.” He told me. My eyes went wide and I made gagging noises. “Oh! Ewwwww! Gross! As if!” I yelled. He busted out laughing again and so did Jaylin. Both of their bodies shook with the force of their laughter. I narrowed my eyes at both of them and walked down the entry way stairs and into the huge living room. I heard the laughing stop and footfalls coming towards me. I just stood there and let them come running like crazy people.
Their expressions held bewilderment and now it was my turn to laugh. “You guys worry too much!” I told them. They exchanged puzzled looks. “Let’s watch a movie.” I said happily and plopped down on the soft couch. Kyle and Jaylin followed suit. Kyle sat on my right side and Jaylin sat on my left. I smiled and leaned into Jaylin while Kyle grabbed the remote. He flipped it over to the Blue-ray player and popped in Narnia; Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
