In the stillness
Of it all
Lies silence
Between the words

It is within that space
That gives rise to clarity
The momentary pause
That frees us from thought

It is the calming breeze
That can't be heard
But can only be felt

As it caresses your cheek
Just long enough
To let you know it was there

Life is like that at times
Moments that pass you by
In silent caresses

Gentle touches that simply
Remind us that we are here
