"The Wild???"meowed a small ginger
tabby,"Mew is that all you think about,
the wild????". Mew hissed"It's not like
small kittens like you wouldn't understand
Tiger". Tiger muttered"God.Why do I
even hang out with you???" Mew walked off
feeling bored"I don't need him,he has been
holding me down! Yeah..I know! I'll
go out there into the forest alone!". Mew
bustled into the forest beside him. He soon
ran into another cat. But,this wasn't an
ordinary cat it was a clan cat! "What do
you think your doing in my domain".The clan
cat got into a fighting position he copied her
position.Out of no where the tribe cat pounced
on top of Mew biting his scruff in a
aggressive way! Mew quickly kicked her stomach
flinging her off him and into a patch of
nettles! The clan she-cat yelped with agony
and scrambled off into the brush. Mew sighed
with relived scuttled deeper into the forest.
Then he came upon another clan cat. This
one seemed more tame, stealthily he tried
to sneak past him. But, the black tom
glanced in his direction. Hoping he hasn't
been spotted Mew backed up. It was too late
the tom had seen him. Cautiously he
walked forward. The black tom stared at
him with his ivy green eyes and let out
a meow"Greetings what are you doing on
Meadow Clan's domain?". Wondering
who or what Meadow Clan was Mew
mumbled"I'm not sure but all I know is
that I want to be a clan cat,
live in the wild is more satisfying
than living with No-furs." Amazed
at what Mew said the tom
replied"Well I'm a Meadow Clan warrior
your willing to come back to my
camp if you choose too!". Pleased
what the warrior said he agreed but
asked" What's your name?" The tom
replied proudly"SootTail, I'm sure
SunStar would be very pleased to
take you in unlike most of the
many tribe leaders around here.
By the way what's your name?"
Mew said"Mew,its better than
that stupid Tiger! He is a
kitten who lived with me.". Amused
SootTail started prancing
around saying"Look at me I'm
Tiger Do do do!".Mew yowled
with laughter"Your funny
SootTail!" SootTail started
walking in the same direction the
small she-cat ran in to. Mew followed
close behind. SootTail said with
sly tone"I've had been watching you
and NavyPaw tussle. You have a wonderful
technique and your skills are marvelous
you'll be a great warrior one day!".
Mew blushed with embarrassment"How
nice thank you!" A little bit deeper
they came among NavyPaw. Feeling
irritated she scoffed"Stupid KITTYPET!".
Then she followed SootTail into a
small brush. Mew followed NavyPaw
and jumped up the 6 ledges and into a
cavern. The glistening gems stuck
in the walls started to shine as
sunlight poured into the dark cavern.
As the two tribe cats slowly walked
through the cavern, Mew took a teeny
kyanite stone to give to the clan
leader. Hoping that would let the
clan know he was kind and generous.
SootTail said"Be willing to take a
stone to give to SunStar." Mew
was amazed it was like SootTail
read his mind!!"So SunStar is
the tribe leader I assume."
NavyPaw said more caring now
"You guessed right KittyPet,
wait whats your name?" Mew
replied satisfied"My name is
Mew and your name is NavyPaw
right?". NavyPaw said" Yah..
I like your name but it's
going to be changed at the
naming ceremony. Hope yours
is good!" Mew astonished at
the thought of his name
being changed said almost
dropping the stone in his mouth
"Me too...". As soon he entered the
camp his jaw dropped with amazement
and the stone fell out of his
mouth to the soft meadow ground.
His fawn colored coat shone a
bright gold as the glare from the
bright sun went on his fur. You
could barely see him all except his
amber eyes. He picked up the cerulean
stone again and followed SootTail to
inside of the leader tree fort. SootTail
whispered to Mew"Prepare to give her
the stone.". Then a beautiful light
she-cat came out of the dooor. "Why
hello! You look like a nice fellow,
I'm SunStar."said SunStar. Mew
lost in the cat's eyes dropped the gem
in his mouth and said"Here you go
SunStar. Hope you like it". SunStar
took the jewel and went into her
den and came back out."Thank you
that was very pretty." she said
with a happy tone. She touched
noses with Mew welcoming him with
happiness. SootTail asked"Should
we go to highrock now SunStar?".
She replied now more content
"Yes it's time for his new name.".
All the cats in the camp watched in
awe as SunStar,SootTail,and Mew
walked to the meeting area. Mew sat
down at a table like SunStar told him
to do. "May I have everyone's attention!
Tonight StarClan gives Mew a new name
as an apprentice! Mew please come to
high rock!" Mew walked up and sat in
front of high rock. SunStar yowled
with excitment"He will now be known
as GoldPaw for his sun reacting fur!
I shall take off his collar now!" She
retracted one claw and slash the collar
it fell off with a thud. "The collar
is off!"she yowled! The two who yowled
the loudest were NavyPaw and SootTail!
"SootTail please come to highrock!"
meowed SunStar. SootTail hurried up
to highrock."This is your fifth
apprentice and please make this one
best one out of all of the magnificent
warriors that used to be your apprentice!"
SootTail touched his nose to GoldPaw's
flank in a respectful way.
