My name is Lois. Lois Brave Lane.
The Brave comes from my family history.
I am a half-blood. Half Angel, half human.
I am thirty years old and unmarried.
I work for the Daily Planet.
It's my life , my passion and my soul.
Five years ago today I killed off my angel side. So I became full human.
But I wasn't sastisfied.
I wanted to fly again. To feel the wind on my face , the wind blowing through my hair.
Then I met Clark Kent. Now my best friend.
That day I decided to fly again.
I spread my white wings and took off into the sky.
I've been flying ever since.
Today I woke up to a bright blue sky.
Perfect for flying.
I quickly change into my flying clothes. Which constist of a white backless sleveless shirt, white pants, and white lace up boots.
I clasp my Angelus Puer necklace around my neck and spread my wings.
My wings are a very, very bright white.
My Angelus Puer necklace is a chocker that has my crest on it.
My crest consist of three things.
A phoniex rising from it's ashes, a sun and my Angel initals. KHA. For Kabshiel Halliel Af.
Every half-angel has an angel name. And what their names means is their talent.
Mine means, Angel of grace and favor, "The lord of Karma" And the angel of light.
So it's my angel nature to have what my angel name means.
So I rule Karma and light. I walk and fly with grace and favor.
I open my window and peer into the street below.
Clark is walking into my apartment place.
I only have a few seconds before he comes. I dive out the window and the wind catches my wings opening them.
My hair is so long it reaches my waist and it is a bright white.
The most important thing of all to my angel body is my angel halo. It burns like a white sun
I hear Clark gasp as he gazes up at me in wonder.
I then take off into the bright morning sky.
I am reading a legend book when I hear Jimmy speak quietly to Clark.
"I have the reasearch that you wanted on the Brave family."
"Thank you Jimmy."
"Can I talk to for a moment CK? Alone?"
"Okay..."
I wait a second while they go into Perry's office to talk to him.
I tiptoe quickly to listen through the closed blinds.
I catch my name and the word Brave in the same sentence.
I gulp and strain to listen closer.
"How do you know that Lois is part of the Brave family?" Clark demands.
"Because on her ID it says B for her middle name. And she never tells anyone her middle name." Jimmy says.
"So? That could mean anything." Chief says.
"Yeah I agree." Clark says.
"There is something else I discovered about the Brave family...." Jimmy trails off.
Oh no. No! This can not be happening.
"What? It better be newsworthy." Chief says.
"Oh it is Chief. Apperently all of the Brave family members are half-human and-get this- half angel.
"Really?" Clark demands again.
I can hear Jimmy nod his head.
Then I can't take it anymore. I lose it.
I storm out of the building down to the lobby to my car.
I drive to my apartment where I quickly pack my things.
I stop when I reach for my car keys.
It's a picture of my orignal family.
My orignal mother (Not my adopted mother.) is seated in a gothic style chair in front of a roaring fire in a fireplace.
I am seated to my mother's left my arm around her shoulders.
My brother is seated in front of my mother. And my sister is seated to my mother's right. My father is standing behind my mother with his hand on her shoulder.
I stuff the picture and it's frame into my bag and start running down the stairs to my car.
I drive to the one place I know I can calm down and pratice flying. My home in Vermont.
After a week I arrive in Vermont going straight to my old home that my sister rents.
I pull out the key and unlock the door of the tiny cabin.
I step inside and take a deep breath. It smells like home.
I unload my bags and sit on the old fashion gothic style couch.
I then start to cry.
I hear a knock on the cabin door.
I instantly stop crying.
I know who it is without opening the door.
I slip out the back door and start running.
That was Clark outside the door.
I hear my name being called close by and I keep running glad that I wore no heels.
Suddenly a force from behind me sends me spiraling into the snow.
Even for an half angel blood as my self that still hurt.
Ouch.
I hear snow crunching behind me and hear the low breathing of someone above me.
I lift my head groggily. It's Superman. Great.
He helps me to my feet and my head spins with his scent. It's mouthwatering.
He looks into my eyes as if he's searching for their unnatural white.
I smile and he smiles back.
"I'm screwed up and I'm cold." I say shivering.
He scoops me up into my arms and runs us back to my cabin.
Superman sets me on my couch and crouche to start a fire in the fireplace.
I close my eyes and let his scent fill my senses.
My mind then slips into the darkness of Disturbia.
I open my eyes slowly to see Clark sitting holding my hand and looking into the fire deep in thought.
I cough.
He turns to look at me and I smile sleepily.
He smiles back but with a hint of confusion.
"Lois. Why did you run away from me and Superman?" He asks.
I stand up and go to the bedroom with Clark on my heels.
"I ran away to protect you. From my world." I say feeling ashamned.
I unzip my black bag and flip open the lid to reveal my flying clothes.
Laying ontop is my crest choker.
Clark swiftly in a blindingly fast move has my lips pressed softly aganist his.
I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him back not holding anything back.
He groans softly and the sound makes me want him even more badly.
His hands slip under my shirt and strokes my stomach.
Clark and I cuddle on the couch.
"Tell me what happened to your parents. And what it's like to be an angel." Clark says.
"First off I'm not an angel. Not fully. I'm half angel. Big difference. Okay my parents died in a fire twelve years ago. Seven years ago I killed off my angel side. It's been three years since I revived it.
" I revived it the day I met you." I say blushing.
"You did?"
I nod.
Clark kisses me very lightly and feel something I haven't felt before.
Love.
I love him.
"And I know your Superman." I say.
He nods.
"Well want to go flying? you can see how I travel." I say excitedly.
"Sure." Clark says warily.
"Let me change." I say hopping up and running to the bedroom and changing into my white flying clothes.
I step out from behind the screen and Clark smiles.
"My Angel. My beautfiul angel of light." He says.
I lead Clark outside into the forest where he changes into Superman.
I tkae a running start and spread my wings taking off into the snowy sky.
I squeeze Superman's hnad and we fly away from reality.
For I am the ruler of light and fellow angel in this world I call home. Sometimes we plan and hope for love. I've had it here all along.
Thee end....For now
"By my love, by my hope,by my strength, I pledge to love thee for all eternity" ~Lois Brave Lane~
What makes unique? Is it how we look? How we act? Or is it simply who we are? -Unknown
