The group of vampires draw closer. I sense that they are very powerful.Moonlight gazing at my achingly parfect face. I crouch into a defense postion. I wanted them to draw closer. Yet at the same time I didn't. But the one thing I was sure of was that I HAD to portect the injured vampire behind me. I didn't know why. I just had to protect the injured vampire. I look over my shoulder at the vampire and gasp.
It's my other best friend Riley York. I look back at the vampires and see them finally stand in front of me.
"Move out of the way,New-blood." The leader of the group says.
I growl.
"Move! Now! We command it!"
I draw from my belt a sharpened bloody stake.
The leader lunges at me and tears the flesh away from my arm.
I spin out of the way of his fangs.
I stake him in the stomach and he crashes to the ground.
I pick up my bow and arrow and take aim in a blindingly fast move.
I release a bow straight into the shoulder of the girl with black eyes.
I drop my bow and clutch my shoulder as something slices into the flesh and bone.
BAM!
I pull out the stake I had just used and fling it into another vampire stomach.
The arrow I had just shot into the girl vampire with the black eyes peirces my heart.
BOOM!
The building around us collaspes and I crumble to the ground , my heart trying to heal around the arrow.
Then everything goes blacker then the night.
I wake with a yelp.
Alexander who apperently was just now going to wake me up for our night time hunt suddenly tightens his hold on me.
I break out of his hold and push open our coffin lid.
I gaze out the window when I suddenly break into a sob that racks my whole body.
Alexander, feeling my pain through our bound strokes my hair as his body melts into mine.
"Please tell me what's wrong." He says quietly.
"I keep having this terrifying dream." I whisper.
We fly to the nearest forest and land on the forest floor.
I close my eyes and focus on my senses.
Three elk are hidden by a small pond.
I lick my lips and start running toward the scent.
The elk hear me and start running away quickly.
But I'm faster.
I speed off following the scent.
I tackle the elk and slide my fangs against it's neck where it heart pounds strongly and fastly.
I then begin to draw blood.
Jameson hands me and Alexander Romanian smoothies.
Mixed with blood. Yum.
Alexander sips his while I do the same lost in thought.
On the overly wide flat screen Kissing Coffins
is playing.
Alexander wraps his free arm around me and pulls me into him.
I am laying in our coffin afraid to go to sleep.
It's not that I'm afraid of that dream its that i'm afriad I'll never wake up from the dream.
Well here goes nothing.
I open my eyes slowly.
I am back in the same building from my last dream.
My vampire hearing is fresh and strong since I've only been a vampire for a week.
My hearing catches the frantic slow sound of footsteps coming my way.
I quickly jump into my crouch.
I know what to do now.
I must protect the injured vampire.
My life depends on it.
I take an arrow out of my black quiver and slide it into my bow.
I take aim as the footsteps come even closer.
I realese the string and the arrow goes flying straight into the heart of the vampire girl with the black eyes.
She crumples to the ground and I slide another arrow into the bow. I pull back the string.
"Get away new-blood." The leader growls at me.
New-blood?
I release the arrow and the leader dodges it.
Suddenly something stabs into my heart and the world goes blacker then the night.
I wake with a sharp pain in my shoulder.
I groan from pain.
Alexander, my vampire mate, still sleeping draws me in even closer.
I stroke his hair and fall into a dreamless sleep.
I wake to Alexander saying my name.
I open one eye groggily.
He smiles and kisses me.
I open our coffin lid and Alexander pulls me up.
In the darkness I can see a nightstand with the picture Alexander painted of me and a half-melted candalbra.
Alexander and I sit down in front of the Sterling monument.
