Everybody's got a darkside. Nobody is picture perfect. Take me for example. I look like an ordinary school girl, but lying under the surface is the Monster I call Slayer. Here is the poem I wrote a lifetime or two ago.
The secert side of me I never let you see.
I keep it caged, but I can't control it.
So stay away from me. The beast is ugly.
I feel the rage and I just can't hold it!
It's scratin on the walls in the closet in the halls.
It comes awake and I can't control it.
Hiding under the bed
In the closet in my head.
Why won't somebody come and save me from this make it end?
I feel it deep within. It's just beneath the skin.
I must confess that I fell like a monster
It's teeth are razor sharp, there's no escape for me it wants my soul
It wants my heart!
I must confess that I feel like a monster...
It's true you know. Most poeple shy away from my alienness. Only two poeple have ever not shied away from me. My guide and my boyfriend,Adam Young. Last year I told Adam the truth about who I was. He didn't judge me. He didn't critzise me. I loved him for that. He also didn't laugh when I dyed my hair blonde. He should have because I looked stupid. Now that it has some highlights in it, it doesn't look too bad. Red and black are in my hair now.
For about two months now I have been searching for the Clan of Angels. Thought to be a legend. But hey, If I exist and vampires too. Then maybe they exist too. I need to talk to the Angels to see if they can repair my necklace. My ancient vampire slaying necklace. I only get one in each life. The angels join together to bring me back in each life. So I basiclly owe them all my lives. I've always wanted to met Clieo, the Mountain angel. She came back after a decade or two of being dead. They renamed her by her name once. Clieo. Every time I die the Angels join together and rebuild my spirit.
I am now racing through the forest with my swords strapped to my back. My feet barely hit the ground. I head into town and stop gasping for breath. I look up to see a teen boy about a year older than me staring at me. He looks spanish, but I could be wrong. I walk slowly toward him my blades glinting in the sunshine. "Hi, I'm Echo. Echo Swanson. Who are you?" I say. "Antonio. Nice name." He says. "Thanks. I'm kind of new here so can you help me? I need to get something to eat. Running left me worn out." I say. He says nothing just staring at my Khopesh swords straped on my back. I wave my hand in front of his face. "Helllloooo. Anybody home?" I say. He snaps back to attention. "Sorry. Um yeah. The nearest store is around the corner then a few blocks down. Nice swords by the way." he says walking away rolling his big bulky trunk with him. I take off in the direction he told me.
I came out of the store and slipped my Khopesh swords back on. I pop open the lid of the water bottle I bought. I drank greedily. In the distance I catch the sound of footsteps. They're aproaching and fast. In my direction. Crap. I take off jogging in the direction of the park I saw. I lead them back into the forest. Into a clearing. Where I have set up camp. I drop the sack of food inside the tent and strech. My Khopesh swords digging into my back. I don't care much. I have bigger problems at the moment.
"Stop!" a commanding voice says. I flinch and turn around. Two girls and four guys are standing together. "Who are you to tell me so?" I say tilting my head. I know my Khopesh swords are gleaming in the sunlight. They then change into (Go ahead and laugh.) Power rangers. "Rangers together samuri forever!" They shout. You have got to be kidding me. I unsheath my Khopesh swords and take my fighting stance. They come at me from the front and Igrunt, launching into the trees. I crouch on a thick tee branch. They shoot balls of power at me and I sheild myselfwith my Khopesh swords. They bounce back harmlessly. I slip on the branch and drop my swords. A ball of energy hits me square in the stomach. I fall to the ground and let the pain overwhelm every thought.
My eyes fly open and I cough. "What are you?" A voice asks. I sit up quickly and clutch my stomach. I fling off the covers of the bed i'm in. "Where are my swords?" I demand. I am lead to a living room. I sit down on a cushion. I clutch my head and groan. "She's definetly somewhat human." A middle aged man says. "I saw her run. She runs like a..." Antonio says. He trails off and shakes his head. I snapped my head up. "Vampire."I finshed his sentence. They all look at me like I lost my mind. "Yeah I run like a vampire. Big deal. As long as my monster doesn't get out." I say shrugging. They take the reamining seats. "Explian." The old guy says. I took a deep breath and started my tale. "My name is Echo Swanson. I come from a small town. I am sixteen years old. I drive a motorcycle that recently passed away. I also have a darkside. Under my skin is the Monster I call Slayer.I reached into my back pocket and drew out a folded aging paper. I unfolded it and set it on the table.

"Latin" I said folding it back up again. I rub the back of my neck where my mark begins. "Wow." Yellow ranger says. "Yeah, you guys face Nylok. I face vampires." I joked. The alarm I heard before rang and I jumped. They all jumped up and looked at me. "Can you sense what is there?" The red ranger asks. "A vampire and Nylok are working together. Let's go. Follow me." I said jumping up and running for the door. I made my swords apear in my hands and sheathed them. I ran for main street where the energy of the vampire and the Nylok was strongest. The others transformed behind me and came up on either side of me. I unsheath my Khopesh swords and Crouch into my defense crouch.
The red ranger looks at my curiously. I roll my eyes and stare into the misty street. The vampire and the Nylok are growing closer.
The two come into my half-vampire sight and I growl.
I take my battle stance and the vampire attacks me.
