Before and After God: The Journey of Soulmates

1. Renewal

 

As she looked at herself in the mirror she saw the changes had seemed to accomplish their mission in her looks. As she gazed into her own eyes she dreamed a bit of what it would be like if she was completely born anew again. In what type of world would she be in and what type of life would she have. "There are truly endless possibilities", she whispered to herself.

 

She wondered if she might wake up with no memories in a new land and as a new person, what would it be like. That's how it was when they were born into their Earth lives 100 years ago, was it not. Though she didn't think she really lived all of the Earth life in her memory. She liked to think she never came to be until she met her True Love and the rest was but a dream.

 

She reminisced of times she obtained deep mental silence, remembering how she could feel the World around her as she was part of it. The world and all its splendor was a rhythm of harmony. As she was still looking in the mirror she focused her power and said a spell. Her hair came alive and changed before her eyes, into a new style and color.

 

It doesn't always take magic to do this, as their hair often changes on it's own. Sometimes though, the changes can be slower and take days or weeks, like the changes that had been occurring in their eyes. A while back the whites of their eyes had changed to black, and the pupils to white, with the rings an orange yellow. Now they had slowly progressed to a red outside, the pupils back to black, and the rings became a diamond shape that was reddish brown.

 

Today she was feeling so great, like extra great for some reason. Maybe because it was 100 years since the beginning of their journey, and after the end of Earth. So she did another spell and suddenly she was dressed in an outfit that was astonishing, with silky parts and some metal. She snapped her finger and some energetic music came on as she went to the main room to meet him.

 

He came out of the other mirror room and he had also decided on a new look. They both laughed because their outfits matched so well as did their hair. As they were talking they realized they both had turned the music on at the same time. They began to dance. They were moving so fast and powerful as they held each other and spun around. They then flew to the top of the temple where they could look out upon the skies and lands.

 

They landed on the top room of the temple, after gliding effortlessly through the opening in the center of the roof. There was a spa pool on the front side that flowed down the front of the temple with stairs on either side of the waterfall. On the back side there was a table where they would eat sometimes. This time there was a true feast awaiting them with many things they had been craving. It had actually been awhile since they ate a full meal or better yet a feast.

 

Everything was just there already prepared as if it had appeared out of thin air. This type of magic and the magic they themselves possessed had not always been there. It had started happening about 25 years ago and had grown stronger and stronger. In the beginning they would gather whatever type of food they found and have to prepare it, at least some. But no matter how much of something they took, whether it was drinks or food, the items would be there again the next time they arrived.

 

And after some time there came to be a technology, or magic rather, that would create whatever they told it to create. And so just with a word they could have whatever they wanted. And now, there seems to be meals waiting for them, or if they just concentrate and motion their hands then it appears.

 

It was not just like this with food either, but with all things, be it clothing, hair styles, tattoos, technology, automobiles, structures, or any item, and even nature. They truly had become super powerful magicians that could manifest pretty much whatever they felt like. Of course they did not always use their powers. And sometimes they seemed to use themselves automatically. It was nice to just do things the regular way sometimes as well. They actually dreamed of building their own temple with their hands the hard way. Of course they were super strong now too so it would certainly be possible with the right tools.

 

As they ate they discussed what they thought might happen on this day since it was the 100th year since the old world had ended. They were not sure if anything would happen at all, except they had been told on this day that it would be
