Chapter 1

--DELILAH'S POV--
"What? How are you my new leader?" I asked Tobias.
"I am the Sysa leader. You are Sysan. I rule you." Tobias said.
"But what about..." I found my hand resting on my baby bump.
"We'll raise it as if it weren't part wolf. Kai would just LOVE to keep you. After all he does think you're his mate." Tobias grinned.
"Can you...Unshackle my feet?" I asked.
"Of course. We have to confirm your Sysa mate. That wolf wasn't your mate, just a liar." Tobias said. "But first, mind telling me your name?"
"Delilah...Rosye. Daughter of Florence Nightgear and Damon Rosye." I muttered, as Tobias unshackled me.
"Ah, Florence's child. I am sorry princess, I didn't realize you were that important." He said.
Princess? I thought.
DELILAH.

Aaron said.
"Princess?" I asked.
"Your mother denounced the leader throne when she married Damon." Tobias explained.
I felt a kick in my stomach. I doubled over, surprised.
"Princess Delilah, are you okay?" Tobias asked.
"Y-yeah. I just felt the baby kick." I said, straightening out.
"Ah yes." Tobias led me out.
I was led to a room, the everything painted in red. The walls a mahogany, the curtains cherry red, the furniture, maroon. Kai sat there, grinning at my outfit. I shivered. A guy stood in front of Kai, with graying blonde hair and deep-set gold eyes.
"I brought the girl." Tobias said. "I expect you to tell me BOTH of her mates."
Tobias made me sit next to Kai, who flashed another grin at me. The man with with the grayish blonde hair grabbed my hand, breathing in concentration. After what seemed like 15 minutes, he opened his gold eyes, looking at me.
"Kai, and another, one of the Lycans. An alpha. Aaron. The father of her child. By the way, congrats on your baby girl." The man said.
Kai grinned at me triumphantly.
"Very well Sethiah. You may leave." Tobias said.
The man, Sethiah, walked out.
"You will have no contact with this, Aaron, okay? My child." Kai said.
I was led by Kai to his room, which was painted all golds and yellows. His bed was a cal king, big enough for three. Kai jumped into bed, after taking off everything, except for his boxers.
"Come on, lay down. I don't bite...Hard." Kai grinned.
I laid down next to him. He pulled me against him.
"I never thought my mate would be as pretty as you." He said, before crashing his lips against mine.
A knock at the door sounded, and Kai went to get it. It was a girl with blonde hair and boring brown eyes. She had only a silk robe on.
"Kai, I came by for a little fun-"
"Go away Sookie, I have a mate now." Kai snapped.
"But, Kai-"
"I said, go away." Kai hissed.
The girl scurried off.
"Sorry, they tend to throw themselves at me. Promise you won't get jealous?" He grinned.
"I must really look hot, because you won't stop grinning." I said.
"You are. The prettiest, hottest, sexiest Sysa I have ever seen." Kai said. "But I'd like to see more of you-"
The baby kicked again. I gasped, gripping at my abdomen.
"Is that thing hurting you? We can schedule an abortion-" Kai said, disgust in his voice.
"NO!" I cried.
Kai raised an eyebrow.
"I-I...It just surprised me. She kicked." I said.
Kai settled against me.
"How long have you, you know..." He trailed off, touching my abdomen.
"A day or two. Depends on how long I was shackled in that room." I said.
"A week." Kai said.
"Than it has been 8 days." I said.
Kai looked surprised.
"Was the father-"
"A wolf? Yes." I cut him off.
"That would explain it. Their children are monsters, that grow in the womb faster than any other baby. You'll be like this for a month tops. And then you'll be a mother." Kai said, jealousy in his voice.
"Do you truly believe I am your mate? I already have my mate, and I don't think I can have two-"
"Sysan females have two. Usually one is human, one is Sysa. The humans never last. But in your case, that filthy mutt is your 'human' mate. I am the Sysan mate." Kai said.
"He might kill you, you know. My other mate. He is quite protective, and he'll be pissed to know he has to share-"
"Oh, don't you worry about me. It's his sake you need to worry for. But, if it comes to that, I won't kill him, no, I'll keep him alive, but only for you." Kai said, pulling me against him.
"Goodnight." Kai said.
"Night. I love you." The words slipped out my mouth. I was used to saying them, since that is how I always fell asleep; it HELPED me fall asleep. I heard Kai suck in a surprised breath before I succumbed to sleep.

--AARON'S POV--
Delilah and the baby had been gone for 9 days now. I often let Lyall take over, and all he did was growl, snap at people, and attack anyone that mentioned giving up. I often tried to talk to Delilah, but when I heard her, I only managed her name. She hadn't contacted me the first seven days, but then I got snips of her thoughts. It was good, since she constantly thought about the baby; I knew the gender, which is a girl, and that she'll get an abortion over her dead body. It made me feel better. Not happy, but content. I found myself thinking baby names at her. Living with Delilah since we were 7, I recalled each name she had written down over the years for a baby girl. I sifted through it, thinking the names we both liked to her.

Aravia
Calico
Ember
Epiphany
Izetta
Jael
Ksenia
Xenia
Lael
Lynx
Meadow
October
Promise
Rejoice
Shea
Xiomara

No response.
Delilah?

I thought desperately.
Had they hurt her? Killed her and the baby? My heart excelled, and I found myself fighting Lyall for control. I shuddered, finally in control of my body.
"Aaron?" My dad, Agamemnon asked.
"I can't get a hold of Delilah. Wh-what if they hurt her? Killed her? And what about the baby..?" I said, shaking my head.
The 20 guys that were in the room gaped at me.
"Baby?" They asked.
"What if they're starving her, torturing her-"
"AARON, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!" Eli shouted.
I looked at him.
"I-I...She's all I can think about. And, what do you mean have I lost my mind?" I asked.
"You just said something about Delilah and a baby, and there is NO WAY someone as skinny as Delilah is pregnant." Eli said.
"I found out the night before they took her. Damn Tessa and her stupid make-girl-pregnant powers." I grumbled.
"So THAT'S why she ran off, and all the girls came back paler than ghosts." Shane spoke up.
"Shit, and you said Delilah said some Sysa guy was molesting her and she was chained to a wall? We can only hope they didn't harm them." Agamemnon said.
I held my head in my hands. A hand clapped down on my shoulder, causing me to look up.
"Whatever you want us to do, we'll do, Aaron, but not until you tell us to. After all, you ARE the new Alpha." Agamemnon grinned.
"I think...I need Florence and Daniel here." I said.
"Who?" Shane asked.
"Delilah's mom and brother. The ones who now about the Sysa." I explained.
"I'll go make the calls, but I need the numbers." Agamemnon said.
On instinct, I grabbed Delilah's phone, unlocking it. The password was easy; it was 3354527. DELILAHS, it spelled. It was also her phone number. I opened Daniel's number.
"It's 916-326-4357, for Daniel, and 916-626-6896 for Florence." I said.
"Okay. Let me see the phone." Agamemnon said.
Reluctantly, I handed him the phone. Why would he want it? It's not like he could track them with it.
"I'll call from her phone. They'll answer." Agamemnon walked away.
After he was gone, guess what? The guys hounded me. No pun intended.
"Is she really going to have a baby?" Eli asked.
I nodded.
"Boy or Girl? Do you know?" Shane asked.
"I hear her thinking about the baby. She says she and she talks about this guy, always saying is Dr... I think it was Dr. Sethiah. She questions if Dr.Sethiah was right about the gender." I said.
"Have you thought about names?" King asked.
"A little. Delilah has this HUGE book of names she liked. I stole it from the room and went through it." I said.
"Dear god, PLEASE let the child not be as confusing as Delilah. One minute cheerful, you say something, and then she threatens to cut you into pieces and feed the pieces to ducks. Why ducks?" Shane said.
"When we were little, Delilah created cannibal ducks that ate duck meat. It thoroughly creeped everyone at the park out. It's really horrible. The ducks go for the wings, and the eyes. It's her threat." I said.
"What is WRONG with your mate?" Sammy asked.
"Besides the fact that Florence went bat-shit crazy when she was pregnant with Delilah's baby sister and beat Delilah, and that her dad left her, nothing, really." I shrugged.
"That explains a lot." The guys said.
Malie burst into the room, tears in her eyes.
"You guys. I found security footage of the guy who took Delilah. You should see this." She said.
She played the video on the flat-screen TV. A guy, with reddish-brown hair was holding Delilah in his arms, wedding-style, looking down at her. He stopped, and I saw him suck in his breath, his eyes going black, like any Sysa who imprinted on someone. He looked down at Delilah, who was fragile-looking in his muscular arms, and he leaned down, his face inches from hers. I growled, turning into my black furred wolf form, lunging at the screen. Malie turned the video off, and I crumbled, changing back. I was shaking, tears leaking my eyes. That guy was now my target. My enemy. I will kill him for kissing MY Delilah, if it is the last thing I do.
Aaron, are you awake?

Delilah yawned in my head. I jumped up.
What does the guy that was touching you look like?

I asked.

He has almond-shaped the golden color of coffee with cream. His silky, straight, neck-length hair is the color of varnished wood, a reddish brown. He is tall and has a broad-shouldered build. His skin is ruddy. He has a small nose and a weak chin. By the right corner of his lip, there is a scar, like a claw mark.

She said.
I sucked in a breath. That was the perfect description of the guy who kissed her.
What is his name. Do you know? Is there anything you know about him?

I asked.
His name is Kai. He's...He's my other mate. Sysa females have two.

She said.
My heart stopped beating. Her...OTHER Mate? I had to SHARE? I'd sooner kill him than share. Delilah was my whole world. Lyall snarled. My knees buckled, and I slid to the ground.
"Aaron, are you okay?" Shane asked.
"Delilah...She just told me...That guy is her OTHER mate." I spat the word. "Sysan females have two mates apparently. He's the one that was touching her."
"Oh, hell no. Sysans are greedier than us when it comes to their mates. You'll have to kill him to get Delilah back." Kisa's voice made me jump.
Yeah, I'll be more than happy to kill him.

Lyall said.

Chapter 2

--DELILAH'S POV--
After I talked to Aaron, Kai woke up.
"Good morning." I said.
He looked up at me, before breaking into a grin.
"Why do you always grin at me?" I asked.
There was a knock at the door. I got out of bed, pulling on a silk pink robe Tobias had given me, letting it hang by my arms, instead of on my shoulders, I ran a hand through my hair, before opening the door. A boy stood there. He gaped at me, becoming slack-jawed. This awe-struck guy has large chocolate-colored eyes. His luxurious, straight, sand-colored hair is worn in a short style. He is very tall and has a boyish build, not quite as muscular as Kai. His skin is white. He has long, slender fingers.
"Yes, Ethan?" Kai appeared behind me, rumpled looking.
Ethan snapped out of it.
"Whose this?" The boy, Ethan asked. "Haven't seen this one before."
He smirked at me, and I blushed, covering myself with the robe.
"Tobias found her with some wolves." He said.
Ethan looked at me.
"She looks familiar." He said.
"Her mother is Florence Nightgear." Kai said.
Ethan raised his eyebrows, taking in my looks.
"I'm Ethan, like he said." Ethan said, fingering a piece of my flame-red hair. "You part Elf? Of course, you're probably that Nereid's child. He leave your mom yet?"
"My dad's dead. Some guy shot him or something when they failed to mug him." I said.
"What might your name be?" He asked. Well, sort of purred.
"Delilah." I replied nonchalantly.
Kai gripped my waist, hissing at Ethan.
"She's mine." He said, his claws coming out, burying themselves in my hips. He let go, giving me an apologetic look.
"That's up to her. Not you." Ethan smirked. "And next time you fuck a girl, try to at least fix your looks Kai."
"I did NOT." Kai said.
"I don't believe you. I'll ask her." Ethan turned to me. "So, did he?"
"Not possible." I said, grabbing Ethan's hand and putting it over my abdomen. He sucked in a breath, looking at me.
"But, you got here yesterday, right?" He asked.
I nodded.
"A wolf did it, huh? He knocked you up? They're dirty creatures, the wolves." Ethan looked disgusted.
"Shut up." I said.
"Why? It's the truth." Ethan said.
"BECAUSE MY OTHER MATE IS A WOLF!" I said.
He paled.
"Other?" He asked.
Kai gripped my hips harder, this time his claws were gone.
"Yes, other." I snapped.
Finally, it seemed to get through Ethan's head that Kai was my mate.
"Oh." Ethan said. "I-I didn't realize-"
I cut him off.
"I know." I replied, exasperated.
"Ethan I need your assistance." Tobias's voice made me jump. He was behind Ethan, urgancy in his voice.
Ethan was dragged off, leaving Kai and I alone.
I thought to Aaron.
Aaron, It's me.

I said.
Delilah! Is it true? Is it a girl? Am I a father of a girl?

He asked.
Yes. Had you raided my name journal for names yet?

I asked.
I knew Aaron would steal my name journal. I EXPRECTED him to. Aaron was hopeless with names.
...Yes. I like Calico, Ember, Epiphany, Adele, and Jael.

Aaron said.
I played around with the names, and ended up with two full names: Calico Adele and Jael Ember.
Aaron, I-

He cut me off.
I heard. I like Calico Adele. Save Jael Ember. Better yet, I'll go write it in your name thingy.

I sighed. He did NOT just say name thingy.
"Hello, Delilah, anyone in there?" Kai's voice made me jump.
"Huh? Oh, sorry." I said.
"He's talking to you-Aaron, I think-I can tell." Kai said, jealousy in his voice.
"Can you-"
"Hear? No. Sysan can't hear their mate's thougthts. Only wolf mates can do that." Kai said.
"He's worried about the baby. He wanted to know the gender." I said.
There was a silence, which I felt the need to break.
"I want to name her Calico. Calico Adele Swift. That's Aaron's last name." I blurted.
Kai smiled.
"Calico is a Sysan name. I'm surprised-in a good way-that you picked that." Kai said.
I shrugged. I felt the baby push, as if she wanted out.
"Damn, Calico." I said, placing Kai's hand on my tummy, so he could feel it. "She really likes to push and kick."
Kai grinned when he felt it.
"Sysan babies kick a lot. You're Sysan, and that may be the reason." He said, before dropping his voice. "I want a baby of my own too, kay? After she's born? It only seems fair I get a baby, since Aaron has one."
I blushed. Can I really handle TWO perverted men who imprinted on me?
"Aaron won't be happy about that." I laughed.
Kai surprised me. He pulled me against him, crashing his lips against mine. I found myself kissing him back. He moaned his tongue licking my bottom lip, asking for permission to enter. I gave in, opening my mouth to let him explore. He broke away, his cheeks rosy, as he gasped for air.
"S-sorry. I...Are you hungry? Agaria had food ready by now." Kai said, licking his lips. I nodded, pecking his lips again, which caused him to moan.
"Stop teasing me, woman. I've only imprinted on you, not-" He broke off, tapping Aaron's name on my left wrist.
"You're just jealous that he got to me first." I said, as Kai pulled me to the dining room.
I made Kai give me an extra shirt of his, and I covered myself, his shirt hanging on me like a mini-dress, one sleeve falling off my shoulder. I got rid of the robe.

The dining room is an expansive room, but quite adequately lit. The walls are painted in a soft amber, broken up by sheer, springtime green curtains on the windows. Just like the dining room at Aaron's pack house. There were more guys than girls awake for breakfast; They would whistle and grab at my butt when I walked by. Kai hissed at all of them.

--AARON'S POV--
Florence busted into the room, panting and looking frantic. Daniel soon followed, looking a little less crazed. It's been a few weeks since I first lost Delilah. For all I know, she had my baby already, and those sick, twisted Sysans are torturing it. The thought shook me to my core, and made Lyall growl, furious.
"We're here." Florence said.
"What the hell happened to Delilah?" Daniel asked.
What did I get myself into. I had never seen Florence and Daniel this crazed. I may have just called upon the hellhounds for help.
"The Sysa took Delilah. I don't know where to look, or where the nearest pride-that's what they call groups of Sysa, right-is, so I needed your help." I said.
"Okay. I'll help. My poor baby girl." Florence said.
"Will they be willing to make a trade?" I asked.
"If you offer them help. Ever since the plague, Sysans have either crossbred or the females have left. They've been rounding up any female with Sysan blood they can find, to keep the Sysans alive. If you make a deal, where any stray Sysan you find, you'll give to them, they may very well give Delilah back. After all, she can only conceive children with her mate. Let's just hope she doesn't have a Sysan mate." Florence said.
My heart crumbled. Life must really like ruining my plans, since they gave Delilah a Sysan mate.
"Can you call them? Arrange a deal? Or a meeting? I'm willing to do anything at this point to get her back." I said.
Florence nodded, grabbing the desk phone, and dialling a number at a faster speed than I thought possible.
"Yes, yes. I need to speak to Tobias. Tell him it's Florence Nightgear." Florence paused.
Before nodding.
"Tobias, this is rediculous. You steal my baby girl for the sake of that snotty child you were GRACED with?"
Another pause. Florence looked ready to strangle someone, but calmed herself down.
"Look, I don't want to fight. I speak on the behalf of the Faded Shadow pack. We're willing to meet with you to discuss a trade." Florence said.
There was yet again, a pause.
"Yes, our Alpha can come alone." She said. "Okay, tomorrow, 12 o'clock on the dot. Buh-bye."
Florence hung up.
"It's settled. Tomorrow you speak with Tobias. Treat him how you would treat an Alpha, since that's what he his. He's an Pride leader." Florence said.
"Okay. I just hope nothing happened to the baby-" I blurted, before slapping a hand over my mouth.
"BABY?" Daniel cried, lunging at me. "You got my baby sister PREGNANT? I'm going to kill you."
Florence pulled Daniel off of me.
"That's usual, you idiot. A lot of times it from when they complete the bond. And it can't be fixed." Florence snapped. "And I don't mind a grandbaby. Boy or Girl?" She asked.
"Girl." I said.
"Oh, I hope my baby and my granbabe is alright." Florence said, tears shining in her eyes.
She ran off, and Daniel went after his mom.

I was being fussed over by my mom, who insisted I looked professional. Look professional my ass. Lyall made a noise in agreement. Afterwards, I wore a white button up long-sleeved shirt, a black tie, and black pants. I left my hair as I always do.
"There. You look a little older." She said.
As I walked out, the guys fussed over me, trading my tie for a leather jacket, and giving me sunglasses. After all, it WAS bright out. As I walked through the Sysan building, ignoring the hateful looks the Sysans gave me, stopping at Tobias's door. I knocked twice, before entering. Tobias was hanging up a phone when I entered, closing the door behind me.
"Ah, so your Ms. Rosye's mate. I was picturing you to be a little scarier." Tobias smirked.
I shrugged.
"I'm only a kid, sir. Just shoved to Alpha rank before you took my mate." I said.
"Ah, so you have some manners at least." Tobias grinned. "Though I would too if you wolves stole my wife and my baby."
"Can we get to the matter of which I came here for?" I asked.
"You want to trade for Delilah. What could you have that I could possibly want?" Tobias asked.
"An ally. I heard your kind is having trouble uh...Reproducing. Not enough females to go around, huh?" Tobias's face darkened. "How about this. Any stray Sysa we encounter, we'll take them to you. Imagine how many we can find, if I run into 100 each day alone, who don't know about your kind."
Tobias thought for a moment.
"Princess Nightgear is worth more. After all, her mother WAS the previous Pride leader, until she left." Tobias said.
"I am in charge of each sub-pack in this state. I can find territory for your kind, I've heard this little place is cramped." I offered.
"We can find land ourselves." Tobias said, and from his tone, I KNEW he wasn't going to trade with me. I crumbled.
"Please. I've NEVER done anything to your kind. I never WILL if you just help me this one time. I don't know what to say. I don't know what to do. I've offered all I know for sure I can give you, I don't know what you want." I said, tears threatening to spill.
Tobias's face softened.
"So you mutts are capable of feelings. But, I'm tired of your face. It's time you leave." Tobias said, before dropping his voice. "And what I want, is for my son to have a child. After all, he does share a mate with you. And my son is capable of repopulating our species with just Ms. Rosye."
I got up, sprinting out of the room, as Tobias's smirk implanted itself on the back of my eyelids.
I have to find her. I have to. If I don't, I'm going to die here, in this Sysan house.

--DELILAH'S POV--
It's been four weeks since I woke up, shackled to a wall. I rolled out of bed, Kai still asleep, as I walked into the bathroom, to take a warm bath. I never made it. Searing pain and cramps shot up my legs into my stomach as soon as my clothes were off. I screamed for Kai, and he came running in, before calling for some help. I was having Calico. Without Aaron. I screamed, when the pains became stronger. I was put into the bed, as some Sysa women had me positioned to deliver the baby. Kai sat at my side, holding my hand, worry in his golden eyes as I cried out in pain.
"Come on sweetheart. You're almost done. Just a few more times." A Sysan told me.
I squeezed Kai's hand so hard, My claws came out. And then I heard a cry. I gasped out of pain and relief.
Oh my god, I just had a baby.

Aaron must have heard me, because I was attacked with questions. His voice was only slightly groggy.
OH MY GOD, YOU HAD CALICO?! Is she alright? Are YOU alright? Don't let Calico out of your sight. Don't trust them with her. They hate Wolf babies.

Aaron said.
"Delilah, does it hurt?" Kai asked stupidly.
I shot him a cross between a 'dur' look, and a glare.
"Oh, dur." Kai said.
"Where is she?" I asked, no longer hearing her cries.
"In the bathroom. They cut the umbilical cord already. They're wiping her off with a wet towel." Kai said.
"God, that hurt like a mofo." I said.
Kai laughed.
"I bet. Sorry we couldn't give you pain killers. You just were more than ready, and she was stubborn." Kai said.
"Get me some juice?" I asked.
Kai smiled, before walking to the mini fridge he put in, opening it up, grabbing a bottle of apple juice. He opened the cap, coming over to me, and helping me drink it.
"I can't believe you're a mother. For some reason I feel like it's MY child." Kai said.
"She is, but she's Aaron's too." I said.
The Sysan woman came back in with Calico, who, I realized, had my flame red hair, and Aaron's light green eyes. No heterochromia, just regular eyes. She was beautiful, with her patch of hair in the middle of her forehead as she wailed and cried. The Sysan woman gave me Calico, who was wrapped in a small pink blanket. She cried, and I sighed.
"Oh, Calico, shh. Calico." I cooed.
"Just to let you know, we have formula in the main frigerator. You aren't the only girl with a baby." The Sysan woman said, before disappearing. Kai insisted I go to bed, but I couldn't. Kai fetched a crib from a storage room, and filled it with red blankets with anime cats on them. I laid her in there, while I went to go finish my bath. I left the bathroom door open as I sat in the tub, the warm water helping with the pain of my contractions.
"You okay?" Kai asked, around Calico's crying.
"Yep!" I called.
"You've been in there for a while. You should get out and rest." Kai said, true concern in his voice.
I got out, drying off, before grabbing Calico, and placing her to my breast, letting her feed.
"There is formula in the main frigerator-"
"I know, and I don't care." I said.
"Does that hurt?" Kai asked.
I rolled my eyes, taking now-asleep Calico off of my breast, and placing her gingerly in the crib.
"No. It doesn't hurt. It's kinda what boobs are for." I said.
"Oh." Kai said, as I settled into bed.
I quickly told Aaron in my head what she looked like, including every detail, from the tuft of hair on the middle of her head, to the birthmark on her right arm, just on the back of her wrist.
I settled against Kai, feeling like a cheater. And that is what I am. I LIKE kissing Kai and Aaron. Both of them I learned to love. And here I am, sleeping in the same bed as Kai, Aaron's baby in a crib. I'm a bitch. The world wanted me to be a bitch with two mates that I love equally. And you know what world? FUCK YOU.

--AARON'S POV--
Delilah had Calico. My baby. I said the words again in my head, but they were like a stab to the stomach. My baby, with HIM. The other mate. HE was there for Delilah, HE saw Calico before I did. HE'S going to take care of it as his own. I rolled out of bed, sprinting downstairs. Florence and Daniel were here.
"Delilah had the baby." I blurted, causing everyone to jump. They assumed I had gone to bed, since it was midnight.
"WHAT?" Everyone asked.
"She told me." I tapped my head.
"And?" Florence asked.
"I'm going to get them back." I said. "Do you know Kai Freesly?" I asked.
Florence nodded.
"His room's down the hall from Tobias's office. Red door. I want my baby girl and my granbabe back." Florence said. "What's my granbabe's name?"
"Calico." I answered, before shrugging on a black hoodie, and leaving.

I let Lyall take over, turning to a wolf, and running to the Sysan building. I snuck in, shrugging my clothes back on, looking for Tobias's office. I walked down the hall, finding the red door that meant Kai's room. Delilah was in there.
Delilah.

I whispered in my head.
AARON? You sound so close by.

She said, yawning in my head. I cracked the door open, to see Delilah sitting in the dark, a bundle in her arms. Her head shot up, and she went frozen.
Aaron? Am I dreaming?

She asked.
I shook my head.
I came to get you. I'll kill him if I need to.

I thought.
Delilah got up, holding the baby in her arms. We rushed off, only to be stopped.
"Where do you think you're going?" A voice asked, stopping us frozen. Kai.
I whipped around to see Kai, the boy with reddish-brown hair and gold eyes I hated.
"Kai." I growled.
"I knew you'd come. I was expecting you. You prepared, because Delilah is leaving this house over MY dead body." He growled, lunging for me, his claws extended. I changed into a wolf, tackling him. I growled and snapped, tearing at his bare neck, blood squirting from the wound. I let Lyall take over. After all, he was familiar to this wolf body. He clawed at Kai's groin, causing Kai to cry out in pain. Lyall attacked Kai over and over, biting and clawing, snapping and tackling. Eventually, Kai was unconsious and bloody. I changed back, throwing on clothes, as I dragged Kai with me.
"You steal my mate, I steal your prince." I muttered, as I dragged Kai into the forest, who moaned, and continued to lose blood. I had Delilah go next to me, so I could see her. We arrived, me bloody, Kai unconsious, and Delilah crying.
"Home." She whispered, cradling Calico. It was only when my knees buckled at the porch, did I realize: I was injured. I groaned. Delilah held Calico, pounding on the door. Shane opened it, gasped seeing me bloody with Kai, and Delilah with a baby. I was only vaguely aware that I was being carried into my room, placed on the bed, my clothes being ripped off of me.
"Thank god, it's only just a little blood loss, and stress from carrying our prisoner. It's okay baby girl. We have blood for this. He's the most common blood type: O+." Malie said.
I heard Calico's wailing, before I blacked out.

--DELILAH'S POV--
Aaron was lying in our bed, pale, black bags under his eyes, even though he has been asleep for three days straight. Calico yawned, her tiny hand in my hair, which seemed to interest her lately.
"So this is baby Calico?" Shane's voice made me yelp, before turning around. He looked at her with warmth, before grinning at me.
"She's adorable. Such a shame Aaron isn't awake to see her." He said.
"Yeah." I said. "But I should put her to bed."
I glided over to Calico's wooden crib that Malie and Agamemnon insisted I use. It was homemade, the outside resembling a weaved basket, the inside padded with blankets. On the feet area, Calico's full name was carved.
Calico Adele Swift, it said.
I laid her in, fingering her curly patch of hair, before turning to Shane.
"Has anyone checked on Kai yet?" I asked.
Shane nodded.
"He spat at my shoes when I checked on him. Disgusting. THAT'S your other mate?" Shane asked, disgust in his voice.
"He was nicer when he had me trapped in that building." I said.
"We missed you around here. Even though you were only here for a day, it was fun. Aaron went crazy. He gave up control, and his wolf was the only sane part about him. That's SAYING something, since his wolf is ca-ray-zee." Shane said.
"Can you be a dear and get me some ice-cream? I can't leave them alone." I said.
Shane nodded, before walking out. I heard a moan, and turned around in time to see Aaron attempting to sit up, now awake. I rushed to his side.
"Lay back down. You've still got some wounds that need to heal." I said softly.
"I want to see her. Is she awake?" Aaron asked me. "Is Calico awake?"
I shook my head.
"You just missed her. I put her to bed." I said. "But seriously? No hi for your mate?"
Aaron smiled, pulling me on top of him. He kissed me slowly, and gently.
"I missed you." He said.
"I missed you to." I said.
"Is Kai..." He trailed off, kissing me again.
"Dead? No. We kept him, unless you don't want to be the one to determine what happens to him." I said.
"I have a plan." Aaron said.
He pulled back, a devilish grin on his face. I laughed.
"You look like a child whose planning to steal a cookie from a cookie jar." I laughed.
Aaron frowned, which caused me to laugh even more.

Aaron was checked out by Malie, and soon enough, Aaron was up and walking, as if nothing had happened. I held Calico, who was now awake, while Aaron got dressed in regular clothes. Calico reached out and grabbed a fistful of Aaron's hair when he held her, grinning and cooing at her.
"She's adorable." He said. "She has my eyes."
Calico made a sound at Aaron.
"Ouww." She said.
Aaron copied her, and eventually, it was as if they were talking in a new baby language. Aaron was a perfect father. He only let go of her when handing her to me so I could feed her, or put her to bed. He even didn't mind changing her diapers. We walked downstairs, Calico in Aaron's arms. Malie hounded Aaron to see her grandchild.
"Come on, it'll be the first time I actually SEE my granbabe." She said, before frowning. "You're making me feel old."
I laughed, as Calico was handed to Malie.
"Her name's Calissa, right?" Malie asked.
"Calico." I corrected.
"I remember when Aaron and Lexi were this tiny." Malie said.
"Mom." Aaron warned.
"Don't worry, I won't grab the picture book. I know you'd rip my throat out if I even tried to." Malie said.
"Now all I have to do is make sure I hide that picture book from Florence." I muttered.
Aaron laughed.
"Like I haven't known you since we were babies." Aaron said.
I pouted.
"True." I said.
Malie smiled.
"When am I going to get another granbabe?" She asked.
I felt my cheeks get hot.
"Oh come on, like your dad will let you get away with no granson." Malie said.
I needed an excuse to leave.
"Oh, hey look...It's that guy." I said.
Aaron hopped in the excuse.
"Hey wait up, guy!"
We scurried off, running into Shane, and all of us fell. Shane laughed, helping Aaron and I up.
"Malie hounding you for another child?" Shane asked.
"The demon mother, she is EVERYWHERE." Aaron said.
Shane laughed.
"Mom's gonna hound me too, once I find my mate." Shane laughed.
I cocked my head, confused.
"You didn't know I was Aaron's cousin?" Shane asked.
"Hell, I didn't know what I was until a month ago." I said. "Oh crap, I left Calico with the demon that is Malie."
I hurried back, to see Malie in a rocking chair, rocking Calico.
"Knew you'd take her back soon enough." Malie smiled. Malie put Calico into my arms.
"Oh, you like your Gramma, huh, Coco?" I cooed at Calico.
"Coco? That's her nickname?" Malie asked.
I nodded.
"You want to know something amazing about Wolf children?" Malie asked.
"What?" I asked.
"They grow fast if the mother isn't a Wolf." Malie said. "A human baby four days old wouldn't be the size of a toddler. Of course, my children are full Wolf."
I looked at Calico. Malie was right; Calico was the size of a 1 year old. Pretty soon I expected her to be walking and talking.
"They age normally once they hit five. With in a month she'll be 'five.'" Malie air quoted five. "And then she'll age normally."
I nodded, before I realized Calico dozed off. I walked off, putting Calico in the downstairs crib.
"Keep track of Coco?" I asked.
Malie nodded. I met back up with the boys.
"Hey pretty mama. Where is Coco?" They asked.
It seems the pack has grown attached to Calico.
"Coco?" Aaron asked.
"You've been out too long." I said. "Everyone nicknamed Calico with the name of Coco." I said.
"Ah."
"Coco's napping in the living room. Malie's watching her." I said, fanning myself. "Why does it have to be so warm during the Summer?"
"Want to swim?" The guys asked me.
"Ugh, I'd rather invite my friends over too. It's weird being the only girl." I said.
"Fine with us." Shane said.
"Yes, more girls!" Eli muttered.
I called all my friends, EVEN Ryder, who I still was angry at. An hour later, my friends were tackling me with hugs.
"We missed you Lys Bear!" Kylia said.
"Breast...Cancer..." I choked out.
Kylia laughed, the first to let go.
"Mmm...Last I checked, you didn't live in a mansion. Who died?" Cecily asked.
"No one." I said.
Aaron walked in the room. My friends glared at me.
"Of course the perv is rich. But, what are we doing here?" Paris rolled her eyes.
"A massive pool awaits!" I said, pulling as many of my girl friends into my room as possible. They took one look at the crib, and I was attacked with questions.
"Aaron knocked you up?" Cecily asked.
"Uh-"
"Are you two planning to get hitched?" Kylia asked.
"Um-"
"Is it a boy or a girl?" Chalice asked.
"LET ME ANSWER!" I cried, tossing Cecily a spare bikini. She forgot hers.
"And?" They asked.
"I'll answer in order: Yes, I don't know but maybe, and girl." I answered.
They shrieked.
"Damn, that's the difference between guys and girls. Girls shriek at the news of a friend having/that had a baby, while guys are speachless." I said.
Chalice glared at me.
"Beau's gonna be depressed. He fell in love with you." Chalice said.
"What if I had no control over who I was in love with?" I asked.
Chalice shrugged.
"DELILAH RHEA ROSYE, OPEN THIS DOOR!" Aaron pounded on the door.
I opened the door once all the girls were dressed, and Aaron tumbled in.
"You think I'd remember the doors open IN." He said.
"What?" I asked.
"Swimsuit." He said, opening a dresser drawer and pulling basketball shorts out. He ran into the bathroom, and came back out a moment later, without a shirt, in the basketball shorts.
"To the pool!" I said, practically flying downstairs. I stopped short. Kai was there, completely healed, in swimtrunks.

Chapter 3

--DELILAH'S POV--
Kai smiled weakly at me, as I froze going rigid all over.
"Delilah-"
"HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET OUT HERE?" I asked.
Aaron clapped a hand on my shoulder.
"I worked out a deal while you were gone." Aaron said.
"A sort of...Alliance between the our kind and his. I get to stay here as long as I want." Kai said. "It's amazing how fun this place is once they treat you like their own."
"Yeah. Just don't mention any races, I have friends over." I snapped.
Kai winced.
"What did I do?" He asked.
"Figure it out." I said, as my friends walked downstairs. Kai's jaw dropped.
"Hey, stop drooling." I said, before walking outside with my friends.
I heard Chalice mutter something when she saw all the guys.
"Da yumm, it's not just us." She said.
I shot her a look. Shane went rigid, his eyes lingering on Chalice. I dove in next to him.
"Hey," I whispered. "What's wrong?"
Shane looked at me, before grinning.
"I think that girl is my mate." He muttered, pointing at Chalice. I laughed.
"Ha Ha. Imma tell her you LIKE her." I whispered, before swimming to Chalice. She has deep-set eyes the color of the sunset. Her silky, straight, night-black hair falls down to her butt. She is very tall and has a graceful build. Her skin is pale. She has a low forehead and knobby ears.
"Psst!" I said really loudly.
"What?" Chalice asked.
"That guy right there likes you!" I whispered, this time it was actually quiet.
"The guy with the black hair?" She asked, pointing to Shane.
I nodded. Chalice tried to contain a giggle.
"Drake ain't gonna be happy." She said. "That guy's like HOT, but I don't ask guys out. They ask me out."
"Who cares?" I asked. "And, Your brother doesn't like me that much, but," I paused. "I'm pure AWESOME." I shouted.
Everyone laughed.
"How much ice cream did they give you?" Chalice asked.
"A whole tub." I said like a scolded child.
"Oh shit, the world is ending!" Chalice said. "You consumed a WHOLE tub of ice cream."
"I don't get THAT hyper." I said, before swimming over to Shane.
"SURE! What ever you say." Chalice rolled her eyes.
Shane looked at me with a mix of embarrassment, rage, and hope. His eyes glinted.
"So?" He whispered.
"You gotta ask her out, or I'll let heaven and hell know you like her." I muttered back.
Shane grinned, his eyes lighting up.
"Fine, later. Just don't tell anyone." He said.
A hand yanked me back, causing me to gasp. I heard a familiar chuckle, that caused me to slump into his chest. It was Aaron.
"Tell me." He insisted.
"Nope." I said.
Aaron didn't reply; He picked me up bridal-style, and hopped out of the pool. He walked inside, as I kicked, screaming "Help, I'm being kidnapped!" plunking me down onto the couch.
"Tell me." He insisted. "Or I'll use Plan B."
I gulped. This was Aaron. His Plan B's were usually perverted and SUCCESSFUL. I gulped, not wanting to know what THIS Plan B was.
"Promise on your life you won't say any thing about what I tell you to any thing? Living or Nonliving?" I asked.
Aaron nodded. I whispered in his ear.
"Shane imprinted on Chalice."
Aaron grinned.
"FINALLY, I'm not the only one!" Aaron said, dancing around like an idiot.
"Awouww!" Calico made her presence known in the room. She held her toddler body up as she clung to the crib side, grinning.
"Oh, hi Coco!" Aaron cooed, picking her up.
She immediately giggled her toddler giggle, tangling her hands in Aaron's hair. She yanked her hands out of Aaron's hair, and cracked up laughing.
"Ow! No, Calico." Aaron seemed to use Calico's real name as a scolding; Calico stopped laughing, and POUTED! It was ADORABLE, and I couldn't believe she'd learn to pout. Aaron laughed.
"She's a LOT like you...Wait, that may be a bad thing." Aaron said.
I laughed.
"You're right. I AM obsessed with yanking on that brunet hair of yours." I said, taking Calico from Aaron.
"Do you have a baby floating seat pool thingy?" I asked.
Just then, Malie appeared, fluttery in attitude. As usual.
"Lexi still has the one she used for her baby dolls." Malie said.
I shrugged, walking with Aaron upstairs to Lexi's room. She was doing homework, so we tried to stay quiet when we went in. Lexi definitely wasn't doing homework. A kid about a year older than her was in her room, his lips pressed to hers. I gasped.
"LEXI!" I gasped, causing the boy to jump away from Lexi.
He stuttered.
"I-I wasn't...Okay so I was, but-" The boy said.
He had short dirty-blonde hair, and brown eyes that showed fear.
"I thought I warned you, Delaoh." Aaron growled. "To not touch my sister."
"I-" The boy, Delaoh said.
"Aaron, leave Delaoh alone." Lexi snapped.
Aaron looked surprised.
"W-we just needed something. Mom said you still had it-"
"IS THAT A BABY?" Lexi asked, finally realizing Calico was in my arms. She took in our bathing suits. "It's in the closet. Swimming?"
I nodded.
"Bad Delilah. No more babies until Aarey marries you." Lexi said.
"Is that his mate?" The boy, Delaoh, asked.
"Yeah. She's pretty." Lexi said. "She's my sissy."
Delaoh looked to me.
"Can you control your boyfriend? I wasn't-"
"Don't ever ask her if she can boss me around." Aaron said, reaching into Lexi's closet. He pulled out a pool floaty for toddlers.
"This is what we needed. Thank you." He said, trying to drag me out.
"What's her name?" Lexi asked.
I turned around.
"The baby, what's her name?" Lexi asked.
"Calico." I replied.
"Pretty. It's Sysan, right?" Lexi asked.
I nodded.
"Okay, bye! Close the door on your way out." Delaoh tried to shoo us.
"MALIE! THERE'S A BOY IN LEXI'S ROOM!" Aaron screamed, which caused Calico to cry.
"It's okay, Coco. Ssh. Ssh." I said, cradling her.
Malie rushed up the stairs, bounding into the room. She advanced on Delaoh.
"What are you doing in here with my daughter?" Malie asked.
"N-nothing, I-"
"He imprinted on me." Lexi said.
Malie looked ready to kill Delaoh.
"Give me your wrists." Malie said, snatching Delaoh's wrists. His wrists were bare.
"Mom, I'm TWELVE. I wouldn't-"
"I just had to check. He can stay, as long as you're with Delilah, and Aaron, or with the rest of your brother's pack." Malie said.
Delaoh sighed, defeated.
"Fine. I'll carry that, sir." Delaoh said, carrying the baby floaty for Aaron.

--AARON'S POV--
Delaoh carried the baby floaty for me, while I carried my child. Lexi was talking with 'Sissy' (Delilah), about, you guessed it, babies.
"Are you going to have more babies?" Lexi asked Delilah. "You know, once Aarey and you get married?"
Delilah sighed.
"Why does everyone ask that?" She asked.
I couldn't agree more. It's not THAT amazing that I suddenly have a mate, a pack, AND a baby. I mean really. I've heard of other Alphas who became Alpha the same way as me.
"Did you know our family had gold eyes until a decade or so of generations ago? And that every fourth generation has at least one kid with gold eyes?" Lexi chimed.
"And...?" Delilah asked.
"Your babies are the fourth generation. Mine will be too. But that won't be for a while." Lexi said.
I froze. There was a legend about Were-Nereid children with gold eyes. Aurea lupi pisces est pugnator

. The golden wolf-fish is a warrior. Long ago, the story goes, a Nereid-wolf princess gave birth to twin sons, Romulus-a child part wolf, part Nereid, with blazing gold eyes-and Remus-a boy not as amazing as his younger brother. The boys’ father was Mars, the Roman god of war. The princess’s uncle—the king—was afraid the boys would grow up to take his throne, so he ordered his men to drown them in the Tiber River. But before the newborn twins could drown from never breathing water before, a wolf rescued them. It is said that the wolf was actually a lycanthrope, that welcomed the babies into it's pack, since they were part lycan.
When Romulus and Remus grew up, they decided to build a town on the banks of the Tiber River where the wolf had found them. But they quarreled over who would rule their settlement. Romulus killed his brother. Naturally, he had no remorse, since he was raised a wolf. He became king of the city, which he named Rome, after himself. It is said that when he became enraged, or when he was in battle, his eyes would glow a pure gold, and he would be as strong-sometimes stronger-than his father, Mars. It is said the descendants of Romulus all had the gold eyes and powers, until they were cursed by a widow whose husband was killed by a great-grandchild of Romulus. Only the great-grandchildren of the last golden child can have the gold powers. And my children and (when she has them) Lexi's children will be golden children. I turned to Lexi; She shot me a worried look.
"AARON, COME ON! THEY'RE LIKE ANIMALS!" Shane called, as the girls chased after him. I laughed.
"Wait for me!" Delilah said as we walked out.
"Oh my god, is that a baby?" Chalice stopped chasing Shane.
"Yeah, she woke up." I said, sitting down on a lounge chair, Calico on my lap. She bounced on my knee, muttering in baby.
"Ahwow ohwow aupoo wouw." She said, as I bounced her.
"A-freaking-dorable." Chalice said, coming over to Calico.
"Wanna help me?" Delilah asked, holding up the baby floaty.
"Sure." Chalice said, as Delilah put the floaty in the shallow end of the pool. I handed Calico to Delilah. Calico was in a little swimsuit Delilah had put her into. Delilah put Calico in the water. Calico sighed, before grinning. Calico's eyes got wide, as she splashed at the water. I stuck my feet in the water, sitting.
"You like the water, Coco?" Delilah asked.
Calico clapped her hands, bouncing in the floaty. It was FREAKING ADORABLE.
"I'm telling you, that is freaking adorable." Chalice said.
Shane sighed, a lovestruck sigh. I shot him a look. He faked stretching and yawning, nervously. I shook my head. He was hopeless.
"What?" Shane asked, getting out of the pool, and sitting next to me.
"It's obvious. Who?" I asked.
Shane turned pale, shaking his head.
"No one, that baby is freaking adorable-"
I cut him off, leaning into his ear so I could whisper to him.
"Delilah told me. She's easy to threat-I mean persuade." I whispered. "Chalice?"
Shane went from ghost pale, to tan again, cracking up.
"Poor Lys...OW MY SIDE!" Shane doubled over, clutching his side as he laughed.
"S...Shan! Ooka abba Shan!" Calico said, moving her floaty towards us. I slid into the pool, which only went up to my waist. I plucked Calico out of her floaty, as she grabbed a handful of my hair.
"Ow!" I said when she yanked.
Everyone laughed, even Calico, who giggled.
"Damn child, you must have something against my hair." I said, prying her hands from my hair.
"hair?" She asked, blinking her big olive-colored eyes.
"Oh my god she is like you! Wow, imagine how many words the world could learn if you were hulk. You'd be eternally pissed off!" Delilah laughed at me.
"Not funny." I said, rubbing my head, as Calico kept on staring at me with her big toddler eyes.
"Hair?" Calico asked again, yanking my hair.
"Yes, hair, now stop it." I said, grabbing her hand.
Her eyes went big, and she grinned at me.
"Hair!" She said.
"Is that all you'll say, girl?" I asked.
Calico cocked her head.
Everyone laughed.
"You confused her." Delilah said, snatching Calico from me. Calico was put back into her floaty.
"Ahh..." Calico sighed when she touched the water again.

--DELILAH'S POV--
Calico's first word was hair?

Yeah, weird first word. Well, my first word was duh.

Random first words must run in my family. I turned to talk to Chalice again, but she was no where to be found.
"Where did Chalice go?" I asked.
"She went off with Shane." Eli answered simply. I asked no further questions.
I looked to Kai, who was smirking.
"What with that smirk?" I asked him.
He turned to me, his smirk getting bigger.
"I think you know why." Kai said, rolling his eyes.
I looked at him confused, until I froze with realization. I thought

I saw someone listening in when I told Aaron that Shane imprinted on Chalice. Kai had overheard what I told Aaron, and he knew why Shane and Chalice disappeared. I shook my head, and Kai grinned.
"Ass. Can't you mind your own business." I muttered.
"God, I'm sorry that I was thirsty." Kai said.
We were rewarded confused looks by the rest of the people.
"Long story, and you will know soon enough." I said.

An hour passed before Shane and Chalice returned, Shane grinning, and Chalice looking down. When Shane dived in the pool, Chalice's name in Greek was visible.
Χαλικη.
Chalice.
The guys howled like wolves, before laughing. Chalice blushed, looking away.
I walked over to her, leaving Aaron to watch Calico, who he got to say a hundred new simple words, like Teeth, hair, eyes, ball, hat, pool, daddy, and mama.

"He tell you?" I asked, pulling Chalice inside.
"A little. He just explained what he is-what I am, and you and Aaron. I-is he really a wolf?" Chalice whispered.
"Yep. You don't believe him? Explain the name on your wrist." I said, pulling her hand out, wrist up, with my right hand. She saw Aaron's name on my hand, and cocked her head.
Ααρών.
"Does that say Aaron?" She asked.
I nodded.
"So its true. And that baby..." She paused, turning pale. "I-I'm not going to have a baby, am I?"
"Not if you used protection." I said.
Chalice turned red, before chasing after me.
"SHUT UP, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Chalice said.
"Cha-chi and Shane sitting in a tree, S-E-" Chalice turned even redder. I ran out of the house, shrieking.
"SHE'S GOING TO KILL ME! HELP!" I screamed, before stopping, realizing. She's now a pack member. I'm the alpha female. I turned around, glaring at Chalice. She whimpered under my gaze, fleeing to Shane.
"Don't mess with me bitches!" I said, diving into the pool.
Shane glared at me. I stuck my tongue out.
"H.B.I.C, Shane, H.B.I.C." I said.
"What does that even mean?" Shane asked.
"Head bitch in charge." I said at the same time as my friends.
Shane laughed.
"Y-You just...Admitted you're a bitch! Ha!" Shane said.
"Says the mutt." I muttered.
Shane stopped laughed.
"Oh, so you think you're so tough? You wanna go? I bet I could beat you in a second." Shane growled, stalking up to me. He was a little taller, so I had to crane my neck to look him in the eye.
"You seem to forget I'm part Nereid." I said, before forcing a wave onto him, that knocked him out of the pool.

Chapter 4

Shane grunted, changing to a black furred, gray eyed wolf. I hopped out, letting my 'monster' form take over: My skin became pale and hard, like plexiglass, but not clear. My Nereid teeth came: sharp, needle-like vampire teeth replacing my regular teeth. I grew claws that were about the size of my pinkie, on my feet too. My skin grew tighter against my skin, for reasons unknown. I grew long, jack rabbit-like ears, which were pointed at the end. They helped me hear sounds as quiet as the wind hitting a blade of grass.
I heard everyone suck in a surprised breath. I had never completely transformed to my other self, in front of everyone. I found out after I first got back to the pack house with Calico that I could transform like this. Shane lunged for me, but I was already out of the way, crouched, a hiss emitting from my mouth. Shane turned around, flaring his nostrils. I smiled pleasantly, before tackling him. We rolled on the ground, fighting to stay on top. I ended up on top getting up and flinging Shane into a tree. Shane slumped to the ground, and changed back, naked. I looked away, flinging a towel at him. I changed back to my usual form.
"I WIN! But, put some damn clothes on." I said.
"Damn...Strong freak bitch." He said, covering himself with a towel.
"What the fuck...Just happened?" Kylia asked. "Either I'm drunk, or I'm crazy. D-did he just turn into a wolf?"
"No. You've been drinking too much alcohol." Eli said, suddenly next to Kylia, swiping a beer can out of her hands. His hands brushed hers, and she cocked her head.
"What?" Kylia asked.
"Nothing, you were just holding my beer for me." Eli said.
All of my friends, except for Chalice, blinked their eyes.
"Well, we better get home." They said, hoisting themselves out of the pool. One by one I was hugged, and then I was left with the pack.
"Sorry, I had to erase their memory of the last couple of moments." Eli said, before turning to Shane. "Ass, you KNOW you can't beat an alpha. Stop trying to show off for your mate."
Shane looked down, reminding me of a scolded puppy.
"Sorry." Shane said to everyone.
Chalice was frozen, confused. I walked over to her, but she squeaked, scared.
"She doesn't bite. I think you'd know that by now." Aaron called.

Chalice slowly trusted me. We ate, Shane being mocked the whole night.
"Since when am I the Omega?" He asked finally.
"Since you were beaten by a female." The guys chimed.
Shane grumbled, waiting to eat. Apparently they had wolf castes: Alpha, Beta, Subordinate, Juvenile, Pups, Omega. Aaron and I are Alpha, Shane is Omega, but, who is the Beta?
Aaron's voice rang in my head.
No one. I used to be, since my parents were Alpha, but since I'm the State Alpha leader, there is no single Beta. Any smaller group alpha is considered a Beta. So that's easy: the only person in this main part of the pack that isn't Alpha or Subordinate or Juvenile or Pup is Shane. He is officially the Omega. I just hope we don't wake up to see Shane stark naked chasing another wolf for his clothes.

I burst out laughing, and soon Aaron joined.
"Ah...That must SUCK." I said.
We were rewarded confused looks by the rest of the pack.
"What?" They asked.
"N-nothing." I managed, my voice coming out in a squeak, before I began cracking up again.
"Wow, I don't think Delilah's ever laughed this much in her life." Josh said.
"Shut up, peasant!" I managed.
"Wow, this HBIC thing has gotten to your head." Austin muttered.
"No, it hasn't." I giggled, before sobering up. "Do we have any ice cream?"
"NO!" Everyone shouted at me.
I slunk down in my seat.
"Lys Bear, can I talk to you?" Chalice asked.
"Talk to me, Chachi dalling." I said, lounging in my chair.
Chachi sighed, exasperated, before stalking over to me, and grabbing me by my scruff. I made a weird kitten-like sound as Chalice dragged me off by my scruff.
"What?" I asked, sitting on my bed.
"What ARE you?" Chalice asked.
"Simple: I'm not completely 100 percent sure. What I know for sure is: I'm part Nereid, Sysanthrope-cat people, kinda like Lycans-part elf, part banshee." I said.
Chalice's jaw dropped to the floor.
"Wow. And-"
"It gets better. I have dos mates." I said.
"W-will I-"
"No. It's a Sysan thing." I replied.
Chalice nodded.
"What is an Omega?" She finally asked.
I put my head in my hands.
"I will tell you what it is, just because you'll feel stupid once you know. An Omega is the lowest rank of any wolf pack. They are constantly being picked on, yet they are a very important part of a wolf pack. The omega relives tension within the pack, and is the last to eat." I said.
Chalice cocked her head.
"You're right, I DO feel stupid." Chalice said.

--AARON'S POV--
Chalice and Delilah came back downstairs, gossiping and giggling like teenage girls. Well, technically, they were still teenage girls, but WOW. Delilah looked so much older since last Summer. I caught myself staring, so I turned back to the guys, who were playing Guitar Hero. There were (including the pups) 33 wolves, including me. I went over the pack ranks in my head:

ALPHAS: ANY AGE
Aaron Delilah

BETAS: ANY AGE
Agamemnon Malie

SUBORDINATES: OVER 16
Scouts-
Blaine Rex Jake Sammy Malachi Weston King Toby

Caretakers-
Laurine Tessa Jashawna Kisa Chloe Kanon Arabell Chalice

Pupsitters-
Kevin Gavin Conner Josh James Justin Christopher Liam Darwin Austin Eli

JUVENILES: UNDER 16, OVER 5
Lexi

PUPS: UNDER 5
Calico

OMEGA: ANY AGE
Shane

I had the scouts: Blaine, Rex, Jake, Sammy, Malachi, Weston, King, and Toby out...well, scouting, Lexi was asleep, along with Calico, and the rest were awake. 14 other people were awake, and only 4 played Guitar Hero. Fair, huh? Yeah, what I thought.
"Hey pretty mama, wanna play drums?" Kevin asked, who was struggling at the drums. Delilah was like a Guitar Hero Goddess. She has never lost during Guitar Hero.
"Kay kay." Delilah said, taking Kevin's place at the drums. Delilah's hands went flying with the drum sticks, as she hit every note.
Blue, blue, red, blue, blue, green. It repeated that, and then went to: blue, yellow, red, red, green, yellow, blue, yellow, red, red.
Delilah finished, and with Gavin, who was on guitar, Austin, who was singing into the mike, and Arabell, who was attempting at the bass, scored perfectly.
"Learn from the master, chico. Learn from the master." Delilah said.
"Ella es la deidad que adoro, cuando se trata de música, dios." Kevin muttered, dropping to his knees.
"I'm not THAT good, chico. Yo sólo soy el mejor baterista, cantante, bajista y guitarrista de la casa, chico." Delilah said.
"Habla usted español?" Kevin asked.
"Yo no hablo español. Me gustaría poder hablar español perfecto." Delilah said, and Kevin laughed. Let's just say English is old and reliable, while Spanish...It's like shoving a cat in a bucket of water. It doesn't go well when I try it.
"Huh?" I asked.
"She just said she doesn't speak Spanish, and that she wishes to speak perfect Spanish." Kevin said. "Brought back a few memories."
"So..." I said.
"Awkward silence!" Chalice shouted.
Delilah muttered something that sounded like something you'd yell out in the middle of sex. The guys laughed.
"What did you just say?" I asked.
Delilah looked at me.
"I just said 'gay baby'. It's an old myth at this one girls-only school Chachi and I went to, where every teacher was against gayness. So the girls made up this rule that if there is an awkward silence, a gay baby is born. I don't know how many times we got in trouble over yelling it out." Delilah said.
"Oh." I said. I felt ashamed. Lately I've been thinking about sex A LOT, especially when Kai was in the same room as Delilah and I. Was it a dominance thing?
"Hello? Aaron, have you finally gotten lost in what is the maze of your brain?" Delilah was suddenly in front of me, her hand waving in front of my face.
"Whoa!" I said, startled, tripping backwards.
"I think he was eye raping you." Shane said.
"No, I was thinking." I said.
"About sex." James filled in.
"NO!" I said.
"Liar." Tessa said. Tessa could read minds, and she says my thoughts are especially loud. "You were thinking about thinking about sex. Does that make sense?"
"See. I TOLD you I wasn't thinking about sex." I crossed my arms, but it felt awkward, since my back was on the ground.
The guys started laughing. I scrambled up, looking around for Delilah. She was in front of me a second ago, but now she was no where to be found.
"Where did Delilah go?" I asked. My eyes narrowed, my ears feeling as if they went back.
"She went upstairs with Kai, why?" Laurine said.
I snarled, my lips curling back, out of wolf habit. I thought to Delilah.
Delilah, you okay?

I asked.
Her response was quick, and breathless.
Yeah, I'm fine.

She paused, gasping in my head, before moaning. Kai, gentle.

She thought to me, probably by accident.
I had hated Kai before now, but this...This crossed the line. Lyall's anger, and my jealousy forced my change into my wolf form. My clothes ripped, falling off, leaving me exposed for a split second. My bones snapped, and then reformed themselves into the skeleton of a wolf, and I was forced on all fours. My hands became paws, my face becoming that of a wolf. I grew a tail, which was vertical, curling like a flag, like a real wolf alpha's tail. I grew fur the color of my brunet hair. My eyes changed, remaining the olive color, but enhancing my vision. My nose became a snout. I growled, before dashing off, ignoring the shouts of my pack. I trailed Kai scent, keeping my nose close to the ground, until I found the room that Kai was staying in. I busted through the door, to see Kai on top of Delilah, tangled in the sheets. His head was imbedded in her neck. Another moan escaped Delilah's lips as he nuzzled her neck. I noticed the pile of clothes next to the bed. Among them were boxers, a bra, and panties. I lost control, lunging for Kai's throat. I sank my teeth into Kai's neck, my jaw locking so he couldn't escape. I forced him off of Delilah, slamming him into the wall. Delilah shrieked, but what she did next I did not see. Kai's body crumbled, until it was the body of a mountain lion. I stood no chance against a mountain lion, but Lyall was lending me power. Kai thrashed against my claws, only making his neck worse. Kai realized this, clawing at me, getting my face. I barked in pain, Kai taking the opportunity to drop from my mouth.
"My MATE!" I barked, though I doubt he could hear me.
Kai hissed, before lunging at me. I dodged, slamming into his side. Kai whined, hitting the ground, and I latched onto his neck, sitting on top of his paws, as I scratched at him. His body went limp, and he returned to the form of a naked human, Delilah's name visible at his collarbone.
Δεληλαη

.
He had completed the bond with Delilah! Rage boiled over in me, and I attacked him once more. A hand on my neck made no difference. It was Delilah, who was in her clothes again.
"Stop, you're going to kill him!" She said, trying to pull me off of Kai. I slashed at her, Lyall taking over. Lyall was much stronger than Delilah; She was forced back into the wall, a stray metal pole sticking out of the wall impaling her side. Crimson red blood spewed from the wound. Delilah slumped, unconscious. I stopped, a pain wracking through my heart. I had injured, maybe even KILLED, my mate. Kai's mate too. I howled, letting go of Kai, going over to Delilah. The metal pole had gone straight through her midsection, protruding from her belly button. It was stained with blood and bits of flesh, as she quickly began to bleed out. I howled and barked for my pack. I picked up her left wrist. Kai's name was on her wrist.
Καιτω

.
Kaito. That was Kai's full name. If it hadn't been for his name on Delilah's wrist, I would have forgotten that he laid crumpled a few steps away.
"AARON!" Shane gasped. I changed back, not caring that I was naked. Pack members were like a family, they didn't care. I had blood all over me, and I crumpled to the ground next to Delilah.
"I-I...I lost control. A-and, I did this-"
"DELILAH!" Chalice shrieked, running up to Delilah. Chalice dropped to the ground, looking at the 2-liter-soda-bottle-thick pole protruding from Delilah's torso.
"D-Del-lilah!" Chalice sobbed. Chalice had been Delilah's friend since kindergarten. It would be the same for Delilah if Chalice was hurt. Delilah's eyes weakly fluttered open, as she looked glassy-eyed at Chalice, then at me.
"I'm so sorry." I managed to croak. "I-I lost control, I'm so sorry-"
"My fault...Agreed with...Kai." She said, her breath raspy.
"No, I went bat-shit crazy." I cried.
Delilah's hand went to my cheek.
"No crying...while I'm a shish kabob...I can't give hugs...It hurts." Delilah lost consciousness again. I howled, and was vaguely aware of anyone, until I was fighting my way back to Delilah, as the guys tried to drag me away.
"NO!" I screamed.
"Aaron, she can't be fixed if you're here." Shane said. "We had to drag Delilah away from you when you were hurt."
I let the guys drag me away. Only Chalice and Malie stayed inside, doctoring Delilah and Kai. My dad came running up, and I crumpled into his arms.
"I'm an idiot, dad. I hurt her. Both of them." I said, trying to right myself.
"It's okay. I knew that there would be a complication. There's never a happily ever after Aaron. No spells, none of that magic stuff that people accuse elves of doing." Agamemnon said.
"But why do I always hurt her? I lost control last Summer, broke a few of her bones. It's not fair to her, or to anyone." I stammered, covering my face.
"A-Aaron?" It was Chalice. I felt her small hand on my shoulder. "Malie said Delilah's gonna be alright, that she won't die. But..." Chalice trailed off.
I looked up at Chalice expectantly.
"Come on, I'm sure you don't want everyone hearing this." Chalice dragged me into the room she was staying in. She hadn't roomed with Shane yet.
"Sit." Chalice commanded. I sat.
"There's a chance Delilah may never be able to have children again, maybe even never walk again. That pole went through her spine, impaling her...Her ovaries. I just thought you should know. Not to make you guilty, though." Chalice said.
I gulped, feeling faint. I may have just caused Delilah to become crippled and barren. And I'd have to deal with her being miserable, knowing I'm the one who caused it. Delilah wanted more children, I knew it from her thoughts, and I remember how tortured Delilah was when she broke her foot.
"Aaron? Calm down. There's a chance she can heal completely. it's 50/50 chance." Chalice said, but I found myself dropping from the window, changing into a wolf, and running deep into the woods, before collapsing. I threw up my dinner, before staggering away, and passing out, stark naked in the woods.

Chapter 5

--DELILAH'S POV--
"Delilah, can you hear me?" A warped female voice asked me. I fought to open my eyes. In front of me, stood a familiar figure with coffee and cream colored hair, and olive green eyes. Her mouth and nose were covered with one of those doctor's masks. Her eyes brightened when I lifted my head up. I tried to sit up, but all I could feel was a slight tingling in my legs. I gasped, trying to move my feet, my legs, anything. Nothing happened. I broke into a sob. I could never walk again.
"Oh, honey. It's okay. It's only temporary. I knew you'd try to move, so I had to strap you in completely." Malie said softly.
I stopped sobbing. I was only strapped in? I flung the blanket off of me. I didn't know if I should smile or gasp. I was stark naked, a massive scar on my stomach. From my crotch down, I was strapped down. I looked around for Aaron. He was nowhere to be found.
"We can't find him Delilah. I looked for Aaron before you woke up, but we had some news that upset him too much." Malie lowered her voice. "There is a chance you may never be able to have children again. We also thought you crippled, but you're fine."
I almost cried. A little red toddler stumbled into the room, her flame red hair in pigtails. Calico was about three.
"MAMA! I waited fow you! Dada gowne." She said, trying to climb onto my bed.
"Coco, let your mommy rest?" Malie said to Calico.
Calico smiled, handing me something that was in her hand. It was a small kitten. With a laugh I realized, it was a calico cat, with short fur and blue eyes. The cat mewed, and I let the kitten curl up on my chest.
"Chalice took Coco to the P-E-T-S-T-O-R-E and they brought her home. Calico wanted to name her kitty, but I told her you should name her." Malie said.
"Abby-cat. That's what we'll call her." I said. The cat looked up at me, mewed, and rested it's little head under my chin.
"Abby-cat! Abby-cat!" Calico reached for the kitten. I handed her the kitty, and Calico ran off, the kitty in her hands.
"S-so will I be able to have more kids?" I asked. I wanted a family of my own, to cuddle with, Aaron, maybe Kai, Coco, and a few more kids. I'd be happy.
"We think so, but you should be careful. If you EVER start to hurt, come to me. Take this." Malie fed me a applesauce mixture. "This will keep you healthy. Go find Aaron."
I rushed into some little lace dress that was black around my bra and panties, but was thin lace around my stomach, my scar visible. The dress ended just under my butt, and stooped low around the breasts, and my back.
I was allowed up, and I staggered to the door. I was tackled by a werewolf pack.
"DELILAH!!" They all said. My stomach ached.
"MALIE IT'S HURTING!" I screamed to her.
The pack let go, and the pain went away.
"Where is Kai?" I asked. "He was hurt-"
"He's fine. He went to find Aaron." Shane said, ruffling my hair.
"Oh. I want ice cream." I said, staggering downstairs.
"Here, sit down. I'll get it. Vanilla?" Eli said.
I nodded, letting the pack guide me to the couch. I laid down on a heating pad, a bowl of ice cream in my hand. I watched Netflix, a few anime shows.
"Delilah?" Aaron's voice made my heart skip a beat. I looked up to see Aaron, in a fresh pair of clothes. Er, shorts. His tan chest was bare, and he only wore beige shorts.
"Hi." I said, shoving some more ice cream in my mouth.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I'm an idiot, I didn't mean to hurt you. Or Kai. I'm completely sorry." Aaron dropped to his knees, hugging me. I put the ice cream bowl on the table, sitting up.
"Are you..." He patted my legs. I kicked the blankets off of me. I wiggled my toes.
"Better, see?" I said.
Aaron sat down, pulling me into his lap. He planted kisses on my forehead.
"Wonderful. I go out to find the guy that attacked me, and I am thanked by my mate and him kissing on the couch." Kai's voice was irritated.
"Kai!" I said, tackling him. Literally. I had lunged off of Aaron's lap, my head and arms connecting with Kai's torso. He fell down, and I fell on top of him.
"Oh my god, I thought I'd never see you again. Happy like this." He muttered, picking me up, and laying my head on his lap, and my feet on Aaron's lap. Aaron rubbed my feet, and I had to grit my teeth to block a moan. My feet were my weak spots; Aaron knew this. He grinned at me, and I kicked his leg.
"Next time you kick him, aim for his crotch." Kai said, not even looking at me.
Aaron growled.
"I apologized already!" Aaron growled.
"It wasn't good enough, you stupid mutt." Kai snapped.
"Call me that one more time, I dare you." Aaron said, getting up.
"Stupid, mutt." Kai said slowly, a challenging look on his face.
"That's it, this time, I'm really going to kill you!" Aaron growled, turning into a wolf. Kai turned into a mountain lion. Ah, Sysan mates, they get along well around the female...Note the sarcasm. Kai hissed, jumping off of the couch onto Aaron. They scrambled to be on top for a while, before taking it to the back fighting ground we had, which was not clearly visible. A knock on the door made me jump, and I answered the door. It was a boy about my age. He has almond shaped hazel eyes that sparkled like moss flaked with gold. His silky, straight, golden blonde hair ends at his neck. He is very tall and has a wide-chested build. His skin is tan. He has a high forehead and a strong chin. His eyes lingered at the lowcut dress I wore, that showed a lot of cleavage.
"Um...I was looking for Malie..." He said, before looking at my face. "DELILAH?"
It took me a second to realize who he was. It was the hot country boy at Bianca High. I never did learn his name.
"Oh, hi, um...You know, we never really introduced ourselves." I said. "You know me because of one reason or another, but I don't know you."
He shifted.
"Aren't you cold in that? It's awfully early for someone to be prancing around in something like...That." He looked at my stomach.
"Is that a scar?" He asked.
"Long story. Involved being impaled by a pole. The usual. What brings you to see Malie...." I trailed off at his name.
"Mason." He said.
He caught me off gaurd by tracing the scar that was as long as a 2 liter soda bottle. I jumped back, chills going down my spine.
"A pole did that to you?" Mason asked.
I nodded.
"Went through my back. You know miracle I can still walk." I said.
"You asked what brought me here?" Mason stepped closer to me, lowering his voice. "I think this is the state pack, am I right?"
I nodded, awestruck.
"Are you-" He asked me.
"No. Are you?" I answered.
He nodded.
"Why are you coming to talk to the beta?" I asked.
He looked confused.
"Last time I checked, Malie and Agamemnon are the alphas." Mason said.
"No, there's a new alpha pair." I insisted.
"Who?" He asked.
"Aaron and I." I said.
"Aaron's your mate?" He asked shocked. "I-I thought-"
"What? Don't tell me you thought you imprinted on me. You'd be the third to say that." I snapped by accident.
Hurt flashed across Mason's face, but then it was gone.
"Third? I'd be the third?" Mason asked.
I showed him my wrists. He sucked in a breath.
"Both?" He asked, tracing my tattoos.
I nodded.
"What exactly ARE you?" He asked. "I think I've heard of this before. Come on. If you're alpha female, I should be discussing this with you."
I lead Mason by the hand to Aaron/My office room. I sat at the chair, my feet on the table.
"This is so awkward." Mason muttered.
"Go on." I said, gesturing for him to get on with it.
"I think I'm a wolf." Mason said.
"Keep talking." I said.
"Some big husky-type dog attacked me a few months ago, and I've been blacking out during certain days, waking up miles away from home. I came here because I thought this pack'd be able to help me, but I'm not even sure I AM a wolf." Mason explained.
As if I knew, the words blurted from my mouth.
"No one's actually seen you black out?" I asked.
"Nope." He answered.
"Convenient," I said. "Considering that usually people notice if someone goes missing."
"What do you mean?" Mason asked.
"Most humans either are so stupid that they see something else happening, instead of you turning into a wolf, they saw you walking out the door with your keys. Or, they'll have their memory taken." I said.
The door slammed open, and Aaron walked in, grumbling about Kai. He stopped, seeing Mason, and gave me a questioning look.
"Just help me." I said, exasperated. "You didn't tear Kai limb from limb, did you?"
"No mommy." Aaron mocked.
He made me move, since I was in his 'SPECIAL CHAIR'. I closed the door.
"So, Mason, what brings you here?" Aaron asked.
"He thinks he's one of us....Well, one of you, I should say." I grumbled.
Aaron raised an eyebrow.
"Hmm..." Aaron circled Mason. "I'm sure we could test you. Come with me."
Aaron led Mason out, leaving me alone. I waited a minute, before walking out. I knocked into Kai.
"Kai! Hey, I didn't see you there." I said, as I got up.
"Hey. I was looking for you." Kai peeked into the office. "Aaron gone?"
"He's got some Alpha blah blah to deal with." I shrugged.
Kai smirked.
"Wanna have some fun?" He asked.
"Uh-" I started to say, but I was already being pulled into Kai's room.

An hour later, Kai and I walked back downstairs, Kai trying to conceal a smirk. Kai definently had some fun when we were in his bedroom. I couldn't decide if I should feel guilty or thrilled to have just had sex with Kai. We got to the dining room, and everyone froze.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing. It just seems weird that you and Aaron didn't come down together." Shane said. Aaron was already at the head of the table, trying to get Calico to eat her broccoli.
"Come on Coco, its good for you." Aaron said.
"No!" Calico pouted. I kneeled down in front of Calico's chair.
"Coco, if you eat ALL your veggies, you'll be just like a big kid." I insisted.
"I donn wanna eat it, mama." Calico insisted.
I sighed.
"If you eat all your veggies, I'll give you some ice cream." I said, exasperated.
"Otay!" Calico took the fork from Aaron and started to eat her broccoli. Everyone laughed.
"She's a mini Delilah!" Chalice laughed.
I spotted Mason looking uncomfortable at the far end of the table. He was in someone else's clothes.
"Mason, yoohoo, hows the weather over there?" I asked, wiggling my fingers.
"Its hell." He replied, cracking a smile.
"Oh, I just wish it was hell here. Perfect weather for a vacay. Plus I could visit my criminal husband in my past life." I said dramatically.
Everyone laughed.
We silenced, eating our dinner.

--AARON'S POV--
Delilah had came downstairs with Kai. MY Delilah came downstairs, with that ass. No doubt, he was fucking her. I glared at him as we ate. He shrugged, fighting off a smirk. I was going to kill him.
"Um...I have something I'd like to announce." Chalice said, breaking the silence.
We gave her our attention.
"As you know, I've been here for a few weeks...Um...Wait, I change my mind-"
"Tell them, or I'll do it." Tessa said.
"I...I'm pregnant." Chalice said.
Delilah looked, shocked at Chalice.
"I'm having twins," Chalice continued. "A boy and a girl. Just thought I'd announce it."
Delilah flew out of her chair, tackling Chalice with a hug.
"I'm stealing Chachi." Delilah announced, dragging Chalice upstairs.
"Twins, eh?" I finally said. "I knew twins ran in the family, but I never thought YOU'D be having twins, Shane."
Shane glared at me.
"Yeah, I know, you hate me..." I muttered.
"So, whose knocking Lys up next, You, or Kai?" Shane retaliated.
"Um...I think I know." Tessa said, raising her hand like a kid.
We gave her our attention.
"Delilah's gonna get pregnant again." Tessa said. "With Kai's babies. Twins."
I turned my head to Kai, who was reclining in his chair, his feet on the table. I tackled him.
