Preface
A self taught chemist and inventor, Davy became a leader in Lavoisier’s reformed chemistry movement of the late eighteenth century and a pioneer of electrochemistry. He discovered several new elements including magnesium, calcium, strontium and barium.

As a poet, over one hundred and sixty manuscript poems he did many of them were not published. Instead, he chose to share with his friends. He reflected his views on his career and his perception of certain aspects of human life.
When his father died young he left school at 16 and took a job as an apothecary’s apprentice to support the family but he never lost his love on learning he simply resolved teach himself.
At the age of 17 while writing verses in honor of his first love, he eagerly discussed the materiality
