BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

 'Ugh, why did school have to start today?! ' I thought inwardly. Ok, so I'm going to catch you up on my miserable life. My name is Joy, I'm 16 years old, I have chestnut hair, dark blue eyes, and I have a slender yet curvy figure, and I go to Tampa high school. I live with my 36-year-old dad, and my mom died 4 years ago at age 35. I have no siblings so that makes me the only child. We moved to Orlando, Florida because my dad got an offer to play one of the actors in some upcoming movie.

Yes, my dad is an actor and he's a pretty famous one too. He is always getting job offers for multiple movies. He used to be happy and always gave me souvenirs from the places he's been to, but that all changed when my mother died in a car accident. He didn't want to be reminded of her death so we packed up and left.

One week after the move my dad started getting violent and would beat me constantly. Ever since I was born I was homeschooled, and I never had any interaction with people. The only interaction I did get was at the store or birthday parties. I convinced my dad to let me go to public school since I was 16 and needed a social life. I was also scared that he was going to tie me up by the wrists and beat me with any torturous device he could find.

 So here I am, turning off my alarm clock and getting dressed before my dad to wakes up and does something else to me. After I eat breakfast consisting of eggs, orange juice and bacon I head out to my car and off to school. "Here goes the first day of public school," I said with a sigh when I saw the school come into my line of view.

First day of high school

I park my cherry red mustang convertible in a parking space, go to the front of the school and walk to the main office to get my schedule. I'm so excited and nervous that after sixteen years of being homeschooled I finally get to meet other people! My first class of the day is calculus, ok now I just need to find room 218. As I'm looking at the door numbers I bump into someone which causes my earbuds and schedule to fall. When I look up I see the most gorgeous guy on earth! He has a great looking six pack, short jet black hair, chiseled jaw, tan skin, and the most breathtaking ice blue eyes.

 "I'm soo sorry I should look at where I'm going" I said not wanting to have an enemy my first day of school.

 "It's ok really. So are you new here I never seen you before" he said.

 "Umm yea I moved here a month ago" I replied.

"Well, welcome to Tampa high school, my name is Aiden." Man, even his name was sexy.

"Thanks my name is Clarity, Clarity Monroe" 

"Hey, are you by any chance related to Blake Monroe the famous actor?"

"Umm yea he's my dad" I said a little terrified by my fathers name.

"Cool! Well I got to go to calculus, see ya around!"then he turned to leave but I caugt his arm making him look back.

"Do you mind if I follow you-

"You could stalk me anytime you want" he smiled.

"No! I mean l...just nevermind I meant to say that you and me have the same class right now and I didn't know where the class is but since your going..."

"Sure,ill be your escort from now on, how does that sound?"he said with enthusiasm.

"Sounds great! So shall we?"I asked making him lead the way upstairs. 

Just as we were almost there one of(I assume) Aiden's friends came up and said "hey bro,what's happenin!"man was this one as much of a hottie as Aiden. He had dirty blond hair, hazel eyes,chiseled jaw, and of course a six pack.

"Hey Dawson!Nothin much though I just saved this damsel I'm distress"he then looked over at me and winked! Today is the best day ever!

"Hey who's the chick?"Dawson said, his eyes roaming up and down my legs."hey, my name is Clarity Monroe nice to meet you"I said with an award winning smile.

"Wait are you-

"Yes I'm Blake Monroe's daughter"I said with annoyance,but was shaking in fear,scared of what my dad had in store for me after school.

"Awesome, are you cold your shaking" Dawson and Aiden looked at me with concern. When Aiden went reaching for my arm I backed up one step recoiling at the sight of a hand coming up in the air.

"Well I gotta go inside before I get tardy on my first day of public school so bye"I said quickly zipping inside the classroom taking a seat in the back. 

 

 

My new best friend

RING RING RING!

Finally, second period biology is over! I thought inwardly.Next was choir, but I wasn't good but Im getting better well I hope so. I made it to the class record time but when I got there the only seats were inthe back. As I was walking up the aisle I tripped on what obviously looked like a foot. When I looked up to see who it was i saw red shiny heels, a red mini skirt, hot pink press-on nails, a pink one shoulder straped blouse, brown eyes, and blond hair.

"oops sorry, oh wait im not because you should watch where your going" she said smiling at me coldly.

Then a girl with ruby red hair, a secondhand serenade t-shirt, black shorts, black and white striped tights, and knee high converse stood in front of me holding out her hand. I accepted her hand and she pulled me up off the floor.

"Just leave her alone Jessica! At least she dosen't look like a slut"the girl said

"you'll regret you ever said that, Olive"Jessica said scowling at Olive.

Olive and I got to out seats, but there was a substitute so all of us were talking." Thanks for saving me earlier you didnt have to do that" I said to her.

"its ok shes always a bitch so don't take it personally. Anyways im Olive Bullard, and you are...?"

"oh right sorry im Clarity, Clarity Monroe" i said shaking her hand.

Of couse we exchanged numbers and just then the bell rang for lunch."i just made my first real best friend"i muttered to myself, smiling. She did not even asked if i was Blake Monroe's daughter like Aiden and Dawson! I am awesome making a best friend on the FIRST day of public school! This day until school is out cannot get any better!

Im home!

School is done for the day,and as im driving home i start to get nervous.Then, im at home getting out the car. That's when i realize that he is not home yet, so i quickly get my house keys, open the door and up the stairs to my room. I then get my homework done and make tofo for dinner and leaving the leftovers for dad. Just as i'm halfway up the stairs i hear the door slam which causes me to jump.

"Clarity go to your room ill be there in a moment!" he says harshly. Then i go to my room and i only had to wait one minuet-literally, and then thats when he slaps me on the face which for sure will leave a bruise.All of a sudden im on the floor getting kicked on my side which causes me to whimper. When he hears the sound he smiles at me with disgust.

"you look to much like your mother you bitch!"with that he leaves my room leaving me crying and hurting. I walk to the the bathroom and cringe when i see the damage he has done to me. There is purple,blue,and black colored bruises, and on my cheek is a now forming blemish. When im done I go to my bed and cry myself to sleep. I cry for my mom hoping she didnt die so my dad wouldn't hit me for looking like her, and then i let the darkness consume me for a blissful sleep.

Im running through the forest from somebody. I look back but I quickly look forward again not wanting to fall on my face. Then there is a brick wall blocking the path, then three others come down out of nowhere trapping me in a square trap with my pursuer. There are shadows covering him so i can't see his face, then he steps out from the security of the shadows. He then brings up his fist and punches me in the face, and when i look up i see my father laughing at me with anger in his gray eyes. All of a sudden he brings out a whip and he brings it down-

I wake up panting and soaking my shirt with sweat as I end the horrible dream of being beatin by my father once again. My dreams have always been like this since he first started hitting me. I look at my clock and realize it is 7:30 and i have 30 miuets to get ready for school. I strip off my clothes and step into my shower letting the warm water massage my body. After 10 minuets of being in the shoer and washing up i step out and go to my room to pick out my clothes for today.After chosing my outfit I go downstairs to make myself breakfast like the day before. When I park in my usual spot i see someone coming up to me, and i then realize that the person is the one and only, Aiden."hey nice ride!Can i ride it sometime?!"he says hopefully.

"sure, wanna ride it today after school?, since I can see how badly you wanna drive this car" i said letting the hope in his eyes light up.

"yesss I would LOVE to" he said giving me a hug making me wince in pain because of my bruises.He notices and asks me whats wrong and i just say that im alright, so all day hes been eyeing me curiously which makes me uncomfortable seeing someone watching me all day.

The accident

When school is over i go outside to an awaiting Aiden. Once he caught sight of me he ran to the drivers seat waiting for me to open the door. Just to tease him I walked slowly to my car and once I got to the car I slowly took out my keys out of my purse, then Aiden had my keys and were putting them in the key slot.

When we both got in the car he took off and went on the highway enjoying the car ride. All of a sudden we were driving out of control, when we exited the highway and went on the streets we were driving towards a lake.

"unbuckle your seatbelt and jump!" I screamed at him. After getting his seatbelt off he opened the door and jumped. I tried as best as I could to unbuckle the seatbelt but it wouldn't budge! Then, I was underwater trying my best to get through the window since I got the seatbelt off. Black dots filled my vision from lack of oxygen for about three minutes,the lack of food, and the injuries didn't take it well on me either. I let the tempting blackness consume me, before I was officially out of it I  saw people loading me onto a stretcher and Aiden looking at me with guilt, sadness and-confussion? Then that's when I officially blacked out for sure.

I was standing in the middle of the desert. There were people far away from me but not to far that I couldn't see them. The only person that stood out was my dad, and he was chuckling at something behind me so I turned to see what it was. Then i saw it, a black tunnel coming closer to me sucking up everything in its path. I tried to move but I was stuck to that one spot. Then the tunnel was not far behind me, then I was sucked into nothingness.

 

When I opened my eyes I saw a white colored ceiling. I had a throbbing headache, and when I winced I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. Then Aiden came into my line of view looking tired.

"your awake! I'll be back I need to call the doctor!" he said in a rush. Later on the doctor came in looking,

relieved?

"Good your awake, oh hello im Dr.Guzman its a miracle you woke up. You've been unconscious for a while now"Dr.Guzman said.

"I need water please" i said my voice hoarse.

"ok i'll be back with some"then he left me alone with Aiden.

"How long have I been out? A day or so?" I said my voice weak and small.

He hesitated" you've been out for a month. Im sorry I didn't mean to leave you in the car I was panicking and I thought you would get out!" he said in a rush again.

"hey its ok I thought I will to but its ok I told you to get out. Don't blame yourself for what happened to me, it was the car because the brakes weren't working."

"i will blame myself because i left you in the car not even helping you get out, and now look at what happened!" he said practically yelling. "i'll help you in any way because your in this mess because of-"

Then thats when i shut him up with a kiss. He didn't respond at first, but then he kissed me passionately. When I pulled back all he said was"wow", and i blushed looking away not wanting to look at him. Not long after the doctor came back with my water and he said I had to stay overnight for observation. Aiden insisted to stay but i told him to go home and rest, plus that he better have some of my clothes tomorow for me to shower and change.

 

The next day Aiden came back with fresh clothes, a hair brush, shampoo and conditioner, and thank god...make-up! Gosh, he knows me so well, and my type of fashion because be brought the cutest outfit thats just for me.When I got out of the shower I got dressed, brushed my hair, and put on pink lip gloss. Perfect! Now I just needed to catch up on all my work I missed at school, and to get past all the stares and rumors about me. Once I filled out the realease papers I got into Aiden's car, and we drove off to school since it was only 12:30 and school ended at 3:47."here we go"i muttered under my breath.

I'm back!

I saw the school come into my line of vision. Aiden saw the nervousness in my eyes and told me it'll be ok and that he'll beat up any guys staring at me and giving me problems. Since me and him had first period together along with second, hes been sitting next to me. So at lunch he sat with his friends since my friends were with me. When school was over Aiden took me to my house, and thats when i saw a new black mercedes awaiting for me in the driveway.When we parked i ran out the car and to my new one."eeeekkkkk" was all I could say, and for Aiden his eyes were lit up like a child on candy. All he did was let out a low whistle.

"your dad has good taste in cars! Man,I wish i had a nice car like this"he said pouting.

"what are you saying you have a 2009 dodge challenger, so I dont know what your talking about" I said in a manipulating tone."fine ok, but we both have the best cars ok?"he said

" ok,ok we both have the best cars"I said happily, see? I can manipulate anyone! Ok that came out the wrong way but you know what I mean, right? Well, think whatever you wanna think.

"wanna come inside and get something to drink or something, because my dad is not here and I will be lonely"I said pouting doing my famous quivery lip.

He hesitated then said"fine! jeez, you know I cant resist that face! It's my kryptonite"he said clutching his chest dramatically. I laughed at him because he was just so...charming, and funny. When I was done laughing I got my house keys and opened the front door. After I shut the door i heard Aiden say"wow" under his breath. The outside of my house was quite big compared to any other house.The inside was as breath taking as the outside, but im still amazed everytime I enter my house. At that moment when I looked at Aiden I saw a michevious gleam in his eyes, and when I was about to run away he swung me up on his shoulder.

"put me down!" I screeched.

"no i think I will pass, because i'm having fun right now and after I do this please don't be mad with me" he said with a mischevious tone. Then i'm in the pool screaming at Aiden for throwing me in the pool full of cold water, but then a light bulb goes on as I get  plan in my head.

"Aiden get me out of here!" I yell at him.

"fine, i will but can i say you look cuter when your wet"he said with a smile holding out his hand.

I take his hand and say "so will you!" then i pull him into the pool with me. Aiden and I were both laughing until we got tears in our eyes, but then I heard a car door slam shut. Oh no, I thought inwardly. I quickly got out of the pool and went to go get towels, and when i come back Aiden is talking to my dad, and when my dad sees me his eyes turn cold. Aiden turns around and gets the towel from me, but he says that he's leaving. I immediately run upstairs only stopping when my dad says my name. I turn around slowly and I see that Aiden is not there anymore and is outside the door going to his car. My dad is closing the door and taking off his belt while coming toward me, and when he gets to me he raises his arm in the air. Then I feet pain on my upper arm like someone was sticking a branding iron there.

"ahhhhhhhh!" I screamed on the top of my lungs.

"quit screaming and go to your room! Get out of my face bitch!" was all i heard beacuse I was already in my room locking the door and going to my bathroom. Once I got to my bathroom mirror I cry beacuse what I saw was ugly and painful. All I saw was a giant slash on my arm that was oozing blood. I then get a towel and put water on it to clean up the cut.

When I get done I put gauze on the cut, but then there is a light tap on the doors that go to my patio that is in my room. After I put on a shirt with sleeves i go to the double doors, and that is when I see...Aiden waiting there outside the doors. When he turns his gaze to me I see concern and guilt in his eyes. So when i open the doors he rushes in and hugs me tightly, but that was a mistake because I whimper in pain. When he hears the noise I make he instantly looks me over then.... his gaze lands on my upper arm where i got hit. Instantly I turn away but the grabs my shoulders and turns me around. He then asks me the question I hopefully wished he would never ask me.

(what is the question Aiden asks?What will happen between them? Will Aiden find out what her dad does to her? Stay tuned to see what happens next!)

Aiden's P.O.V

Finally it's my turn to talk! Ok i'm going to resume where we left off.

  After I turned her back around by the shoulders, I ask her the question I have been wanting to ask her after I heard her scream just before i got into my car.

"Is your dad abusing you Clarity?"I said. After I said that she got quiet, and her eyes showed guilt, confusion, and sadness. That was all I needed to know that I was right. She then looked away again and started crying. I then took her into my arms and embraced her.

I squeezed her tightly only to hear a small whimper, and then I felt a giant lump in her sleeve. So I put her at arms length and rolled up her sleeve, and I saw a gauze wrapped around her upper arm. When I looked at her she had her eyes closed and was unwrapping the gauze, when she was done what I saw was disturbing and horrifying.

"Did he do this to you?!" I asked and when she nodded yes I lost it.

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner,I could have helped you through all of this!" I yelled at her in a hushed voice getting angry.

"Because he said if i told anyone he would put scorching hot m-metal o-on m-m-my a-arm"she said between breaths. I felt mad because she was getting hurt and I couldn't do anything top stop it! Or could I?

"I have an idea, ok if this goes on until this Saturday then we'll go to the cops, and if you have any scars then show it to them ok?"I said in a rush.

"ok"she said in a quiet voice. After that I said I had to go home before my parents freaked, then I jumped off the patio and ran to my car. When I get home I tell my parents that im going to sleep and run to my room. I should't have left Clarity at home by herself but this weekend we are going to put him in jail! But wait...where is she going to live?! Maybe she can live with me and my family, yea and we can go to school together I mean both of our families are rich and we can afford to have an extra person in the house. Hopefully this week can go by fast so we can put that bastard in jail for what he has done to her.

Clarity's P.O.V

  After Aiden left I covered the wound back up, and when I was done went to my bed. Only to be interupted by my door getting hit into the wall behind it, and then my dad was taking my hurt arm into his left hand and smacking his right hand on my face.

"why did you tell him he was right! I told you what was going to happen if you told anyone I abuse you!"he yelled then stuck a branding iron that had his initial on it on my leg. I screamed in pain, and then I was being dragged to a black van in the backyard. He opened the back doors and threw me in, after that he stuck me with a needle. At first I didn't know why he stuck me with a needle,but then I started getting tired and then that's when the floor of the van rushed up to meet my face.

 

When I woke up my wrists and ankles were tied together, and sunlight was pouring through the windows. There was a door leading to who knows where! But then my dad came through the door with a leather belt with studs in his right hand(his strong arm). Then I was screaming becease he hit me with it and there were three long gashes on my arm, an before I knew it he was done abousing me...for the day. I was shifting nervously wondering if he was actually done for the day, but then I felt something in my back pocket...my trusty phone! I used my hands to get my phone and put it next to me. Then I sent a text to Aiden telling him that my dad took me,where I was,and that he was beating me. When I sent the message it was midnight,and hopefully he will get the message in time to save me.

 

Aiden's P.O.V

 When I got the message from Clarity I was angry at myself for leaving her with that sick bastard! Now I had to save her because her dad took her and is harming her. I packed a bag filled with food and water, and then I was out the back door going to my car to drive to the woods in the back of her house. When I got there the house looked like a crime scene. The police was everywhere trying to get into the house,so I thought I would leave my car here and just go straight to the woods. The woods looks like a scary movie can be filmed here,because there was fog covering the ground and it was a starless night. After I followed the directions to find the van I was planning on how to get her out,and after a while I finally came up with one! So I went to the double doors in the back of the van and picked the key lock,after I unlocked it what I saw was horrifying!

 

Clarity's P.O.V

 

 After I sent the text my dad came back and punched and hit me with the belt repeatedly,so now I have one black eye,a total of five long gashes on me,and a bloody lip and I was starting to feel dizzy.

 I heard the doors in the back of the van trying to get broken into,so I sat up and was getting ready to run out like the wind. When the doors did open I saw Aiden standing there looking at me with anger but when he saw me all I saw was sadness,so he rushed up to me and carried me bridal style out of the van and to my house. On the way there I was drifting in and out of consciousness from blood loss,lack of food,and the beatings.

"Clarity,stay with me don't leave me! We are almost there"

"I'm trying but I can't I'm to sleepy"I said. Looking down onto myself and saw that my shirt was covered in my blood. After about what felt like six minuets I finally feel into the darkness and let it consume me completely.

 

Aiden's P.O.V

 When I felt her body slump against my body I knew that she was unconscious,so when I saw her house with the police in my sight I ran with her in my arms. When I got there I called one of the police officers to come over and to take her to the hospital,and they called an ambulance because of how severe her injuries were. After the ambulance took her away I ran to my car and drove behind them all the way to the hospital. Then when I got there the doctors took her away on a stretcher,but I had to stay here and when they were done were gonna tell me how she is. After an hour of examinations the doctor came back and said she was suffering from major injuries which caused the loss of A LOT of blood,but they said I can stay with her until she woke up. So all this time i've been sitting by her side waiting for her to wake up from her little coma that lasted six weeks,but then the day finally came when she woke up!

 

Clarity's P.O.V

 When I woke up ,I woke up to the same ceiling after my one month coma. So I looked beside me,and yup,there was Aiden by my side doing the same thing he did after my coma. But this time when he tried to talk to me I kissed him and at first he didn't respond but the he kissed me back. He bit my lower lip asking for entrance that I gladly gave to him. He explored my mouth like no one has before. But then there was a little cough and when I looked to see who it was I turned my head trying to hide my blush.It was Aiden's parents. They told me that I could live with them until I reached age to move out,and that meant a lot to me.Where will I be without them?

New chapter

1 Month later

"You guys are going to be late for school if you don't hurry up!"Aiden's mom yelled at us from downstairs. I was up and ready but unfortuneately Aiden wasn't. I could have gone to school in my car but I promised him I would wait,after ten minuets he finally came down and said that we could go now.

"finally,i'm a girl and I dress faster than you!"I said.

"ha ha,now c'mon we gotta go to school!"he said with a smirk on his face,and I instantly knew he wanted to race to school. And of course I beat him,again! We have gotton really close over the past month so now I see him as a brother who helps me in times of need,or to beat someone up! But no one can take this bond away from us because we are one now.Who knew that spending so much time with someone can bring you  really close? Oh yea,EVERYBODY knew that! Oh but anyways my dad is now in jail,and I also got my trust fund and now im richer than him! Now,in the present,i'm living a happy life with Aiden and his family and...starting a new chapter.
