Introduction
I hope you feel how much I admire and love Sex and the City.
I hope you enjoy Sex and the City 3!
Chapter 1 - Carrie’s got the blues
Carrie was sleeping when the telephone rang.
It was Charlotte. Big answered the phone and told her:
- Hi Charlotte, no she is sleeping. I am worried. She sleeps a lot these days.
- That’s strange. Is there anything else?
- No, just she got the blues in the last weeks.
- I will talk to her.
- Thank you.
- Bye
Later that week, there were the four of them in a café.
- Carrie, Big is worried if you are depressed…
- Oh?
- I called a few days ago and you were sleeping at 8 pm.
- I guess it should be some kind of middle age crisis.
- Would you like to see someone for it?
- Well, if everyone is so concerned, I will have to drop by the ol’ shrink’s office.
- Thank you. Samantha what about Rikaard, have you seen him lately?
- We fucked on his boat last week. But I am getting tired of him…
- Really? He seems great.
- You know me, I can’t be bothered with the same guy for too long.
- Well, Smith…
- Smith, Smith… Smith is over!
- Okay, okay, don’t snap at me! I know what will cheer you up, Carrie! I have four tickets for the ballet!
- Oh no!
- Miranda, don’t be like that, you will love the new Swan’s lake!
- Do I have to?
- Yes, because we are all supportive of Carrie’s depression and want to cheer her up!
- Don’t label it just yet as depression, haven’t seen a professional.
- The ballet is tomorrow at 8:00. Be dressed up!
Chapter 2 - Swan-seeing
Samantha, Carrie and Miranda were waiting for Charlotte in front of the opera. They were all awesome. Samantha was in blue sparkly dress; Miranda was dressed like a man in a suit and tie and Carrie was with a long red gown (as if they were going to the Oscars). Charlotte came in a short while wearing black and white robe.
- Sorry girls, I had a little emergency, Rose’s tooth fell off.
- Don’t worry, it’s ok.
The swans were radiant. Carry couldn’t help but notice one of the dancers. He was young, lush and sexy.
The next day she said to Big
- I am going to a café to write, because it’s better to go out with people than stay home.
- That’s wonderful, dear! Let me know later where to make dinner reservations.
- Bye!
She went downtown in a café near the opera. She reached out for the cup, when! It was him! The dancer.
- Oh, it’s you!
- Excuse me?
- Sorry I meant, to say, I am a big fan of yours. Yesterday you were amazing!
- Really? You watched it?
- You were fabulous.
- What did you like about it?
- The best thing was the way you twirked your bum…
- Haha, you are funny!
- No, the other part of the ballet was also great!
- Would you like to drink coffee together?
- Yes, why not?
Chapter 3 - Shrinkalicious
Carrie waited in front of Doctor G’s office. There were no handsome men before her. She did not want to talk about the depression, but about the crush she had for the magnificent dancer.
- Hello Carrie, long time no see.
- Yes, I didn’t have anything to complain about in my life.
- So, what brings you here today?
- My husband thinks I’m depressed…
- And?
- My friends, too.
- How do you feel?
- Just tired of everything.
- How so?
- I just want to sleep.
- Why do you think that is?
- I don’t know, maybe a mid-life crisis or something.
- It’s quite possible, yes. What brings you joy in life these days?
- Only writing, but not always.
- Do you feel some burden or something that’s weighing on you?
- I feel scared that we fall out of love with Bi… my husband. We are in a rut.
- What makes you think that?
- I don’t know… We are so… predictable these days.
- And that annoys you?
- Definitely.
- Why don’t you do something un-predictable?
- Like what?
- Like dressing up like a hot nanny in bed, or a waitress?
- That’s such a cliché!
- Yes, but it can help break the rut.
- I really want to go somewhere – but not Paris. Maybe Paris, Texas.
- Ha ha, yes. Paris, Texas is a good destination. Anything else you want to discuss?
- Well, yes. I met… Actually no, nothing. It’s ok.
- Are you sure?
- And our time is almost up. I want to ask you to do every day something new, something out of the rut.
- Ok, sounds doable.
- Will wait for you next week, same time.
- Yes, see you then.
Chapter 4: Miranda and the nickel
Miranda and Steve were making love. When they finished, Steve said:
- If I had a nickel every time we made love this month… I’d have a nickel.
- Haha, very funny.
- Are we there back again?
- You wanna go cheating again?
- This conversation is over.
- Oh, yeah? I don’t think so. You opened the can of worms.
- Sorry, I shouldn’t have.
- Yeah, you bet you shouldn’t have. I am going to take a shower.
- Sorry once again.
Miranda was walking back from work. She worked at a walking distance from her Brooklyn home. Suddenly she saw a shiny nickel on the ground. She leaned and took it. She smiled silently.
Miranda put the key inside the door and turned it. The house was dark. She said “Anybody? I am home!”. Then the light was on. Steve was waiting for her in the fully laid out table with a dinner and wine.
- Where’s Brady? Oh my god, Steve!
- He’s at a sleepover with Brandon. We have the house to ourselves.
- You are crazy, you know it?
- I was hoping for romantic…
- Something smells delicious!
- It’s fish meat balls with a cranberry sauce. My ma’s recipe.
- Wow!
- Wow, indeed. And the wine is as old as Brady...
- Really?
- Everything for my princess
- Come on, stop it!
- I hope we are going to make love after
- Well, of course!
- I love you.
- I love you, too.
Chapter 5 - Samantha and Rikaard
Samantha was at “The Goddess within” practice. There she met a young yogi. She invited him over.
When they were in the middle of making love, the phone rang.
I am not home, leave a message for Sam Jones after the beep.
- Samantha, it’s Rikaard. I really need to speak to you. Pick up if you’re there…. Obviously not. I love you. I am in love with you and I want us to move in together. I really do.
- Aaand there goes my turn on – Samantha sighed. She stood up and grabbed the phone
- No, no, no. You are infatuated by me; you are not in
- I do love you and want to make it work...
- I have tried this love thing. Twice. It’s not for me, sorry.
- But this time it is different, because I truly love you.
- No, it is not. And that’s that. Goodbye.
Later, in a bar the four of them were sipping Cosmpolitans.
-….And then Steve said if I had a nickel every time we made love this month, I would have a nickel. So I found a nickel and we made love again.
- That’s so romantic!
- Come on, Charlotte! Keep it together!
Samantha said:
- If every time someone said I love you, I had a nickel, I’d have three nickels.
- Really? Rikaard said it?
- And it was NOT romantic.
- Why not?
- Cause he wants to move in together and do all the shananigans.
- You obviously poured a cold cup of water on the poor man’s head.
- Well, someone had to, the poor bastard was delusional…
- You are the most un-romantic person I know, you know that…
- Charlotte, keep it together!
Chapter 6 - Charlotte and the Tooth Fairy
Charlotte picked up a toy from the floor and said:
- Lilly, you should teach your little sister to tidy up after her!
- Oh, mom, come on! She is un-teachable
- Oh, yeah? How so?
- I told her like 20 times already.
- Rose, dear, why didn’t you listen to your sister?
- Moooooooom, can’t you see I am busy.
- Busy doing what?
- Trying to pull up my tooth!
- Oh, Rose! Harry! Harry!
- What’s the big emergency for? I am watching the game.
- Rose’s tooth is about to fall! Do something!
- Ha ha, what should I do? Sing a requiem for it?
- Rose, dear, you know that in our house the Fairy brings candy?
- Charlotte, don’t you think you’ve had enough candy? You are getting a little chunky lately..
- Whaaat?! Harry!
- Just sayin’
Charlotte ran off in tears. She called Carrie
- And he said… he said..
- Calm down, dear!
- I was … chunky…
- You most certainly are not! He should behave himself! Do you want me to talk to him?
- No, no that just would make him tease me even more.
- Ok, but don’t be too hard on yourself, please!
- I won’t I promise.
- Bye for now, see you very soon.
- Yes, tonight.
Samantha, Miranda and Carrie were drinking cocktails when a radiant Charlotte entered the room.
- Come on, those cocktails won’t drink themselves!
- None for me… I am pregnant!
Chapter 7 - The Big rut
Big was having a cigar in the living room. Carrie entered the room and frowned.
- I know you hate my cigar but I am in a New York state of mind…
- That’s your excuse? Really? You’re in a New York state of mind?!
- Sorry, baby, It’s fine with me, cause I let it slideee.
- Cut it out, now.
- Ok, ok, I know it bums you. I am sorry.
- That better be a take out box there I see.
- Yes, I took sushi on the way from work.
- Mmm, super!
- How come you are such a great wife? And you no longer complain we don’t go out as much.
- I guess I am old. Like you.
- Yes, I guess so.
- I might be going to my old place for couple of days. To write.
- You know that works wonders on us!
- Yes, I know….
Carrie felt hunger. She had written for a couple of hours, forgetting the whole world. Until her hunger brought her back. “I should go out!”, she thought to herself.
Something drove her to the café of the opera. But this day, he was not there.
Carrie met Samantha for lunch. She new Samantha was the one to tell.
- I have a crush…
- Oh?
- On that dancer from Swan Lake.
- The one with the cute bum?
- Pick a number!
- You think other people have crushes on him, too? – Carrie was terrified.
- Of course, that hunk! He is something else.
- Please don’t tell anyone what I told you.
- Is it a secret?
- Yes, of course.
- I would suggest only Big to not find out. Otherwise, your secret’s safe with me.
- Thank you.
Carrie went home after a productive afternoon of writing and trying not to think about Roco.
And there Big was – the black limousine, waiting patiently at her doorstep.
That night they made love – first time in months. It was unforgettable. It seems that for a while, they were out of the rut.
Chapter 8 - Illusion nurtures the soul
The four gals were sitting in a café. Samantha was smiling mischievously and then she said out of the blue:
- I know you are going to love me. I got us for invites for the party of the opera dancers!
- WHAAAAT?! – Carrie was beside herself.
- Whaaat?! - Charlotte was happy, too.
- That’s something else! - Miranda was as excited as the rest of them.
- It’s good to work in PR! It’s good to be me!
There came the night of the party. Carrie put on the shadow of a dress, the one she was wearing when she first made love to Big. He was curious:
- You still keep that dress?
- Well, yes. Why?
- And you are going dressed like that?
- Are you cheating on me?
“In my thoughts”, thought Carrie guiltily.
The party was fabulous, as were the four girls. Samantha was all over two dancers at a time. Charlotte was refusing alcohol for the n-th time tonight. Miranda found herself in the cozy company of a dancer, who was more than willing to listen to her rambling on about her marital difficulties with Steve.
Carrie was alone. She had almost given up looking for him, when…
- Well, hello there, didn’t expect you here.
- Hi, Roco.
- I almost didn’t come to this stupid party – and look! It’s not that stupid.
- No, it’s not! In fact, I am having a great time!
- Shall we?
They danced. And danced. And danced.
The lights were out. The party was over and they still were all over each other. They were not ready to call it quits yet.
- Where did my girlfriends go? Did they abandon me?
- Oh, no. What shall you do know?
- I suppose I should get home. It’s 2 am. Will you call me a cab?
- Why don’t me walk you home?
- But that’s like 20 blocks?
- Are your heels comfortable?
- Yes, in fact they are.
- And you won’t be cold? I can give you my jacket.
- I will survive.
So they walked. Carrie laughed and sighed and talked… She caught a glimpse of what her life would be, if Big weren’t in it. Single life. Mmmm I miss being single. She thought. Then she for a very little while forgot that black diamond on her finger….
Chapter 9 - Reality bites
She went home feeling awful. Big was lying in bed, asleep with a book in his hand. She took a bath and cried a little in the bath.
“I am an awful person. I don’t deserve him! I don’t!”
She made breakfast and coffee for him
- What’s the occasion?
- Occasion? Do I need a special occasion to make my hubby coffee and breakfast.
- No, but you never do, so you get my surprise.
- Let’s go somewhere new! Let’s go to Paris, Texas? Or Massachusets? Or Peru?
- What’s gotten into you? You never want to travel?
- Oh, but I do! I do!
- Ok, Paris, Texas, here we come!
This time she didn’t confess. She remembered how she had hurt Aidan. She said to herself, better to not know, than be hurt.
So they went to Paris, Texas.
When they returned, Big once again was in a New York State of mind.
And they made love.
