Anthony had lived for the last month in the store with the others, Luke, Wallace, and Hazel. They feasted on the frozen food for the first few weeks while they had the extra propane in their grills. Luke had them ration the rest as it went bad. Hazel whistled the alarm while Anthony walked the perimeter, and he noticed the breach in their defenses. He scrambled to the back, and found the others, holding weapons, and he slid as they opened fire on the ones behind him. They fled to the roof, and started a distraction to clear them out.
April had been on the run for days from the monster, and during that time, she had picked up two others, Simon and Amanda. They were hiding in a shack somewhere in the middle of a forest, the monster was relentless, they had discovered, having run over twenty miles. As they cowered, it broke in through the wall, and landed, trailing in wood and splinters, between them. Simon punched it, yelling for the girls to leave. April, and Amanda ran, and heard screams as Simon was devoured. They lost their footing, rolled down a hill, and splashed into a river.
Tanya sat on the top of the church, holding on to the cross as the snow fell in Berlin. She smelled the air, the blood of the townsfolk below smelled funny with the snow on the air. She slipped off of the roof, and felt cold silver touch her as she touched the ground. She twisted away from the hunter. The shock that crossed her face must have been a spectacle, the hunter staring her dead in the eyes was none other than her former lover, Darwin. She moved, quickly overtaking him, she bit her tongue before she bit him.
