Once upon a time, there was a castle on the top of a huge green mountain in Honfertown. Alfredo Be and Fernando Be, two brothers, were the princes of the castle. They had lived there for 100 years.
On September 15th, 1832, Alfredo and his brother discussed about the gold that was into the deep sea. Fernando did not want to leave the castle, but Alfredo decided to look for the gold. He was excited for the new adventure.
When Alfredo arrived near the deep sea, he saw a small green island far away. He started to think how to cross the sea, but in that moment, he saw an old brown canoe stuck in the edge. He ran fast and moved the canoe towards the island. However, He was scared because he found some bones in the canoe.
He quickly took the bones and threw them into the sea, but near the bones Alfredo found an old clock; his hands started shaking, and his face turned white. The old clock was from his lost father. The king Williams Be went out to kill a big dragon 10 years ago, but he never came back.
Alfredo was thirsty and tired after 20 minutes in the boat. The water turned red in a second. He asked himself why his father was dead, but there was not answer. “Did he drink the red water” Alfredo said. He saw the green island, and there was a bright yellow light there.
After 50 minutes, he was exhausted. The sun was shining above him. But he noticed that the island was in the same place that 30 minutes ago, and the yellow light had gone. He wanted to come back, but his ambition for gold was bigger than his fear.
In a second, the sky turned grey and the sun had gone. Dense fog had covered his sight. “This is the end” Alfredo said while his lips were shaking. However, he could see a weak yellow light through the fog. He immediately jumped and opened his eyes as much as he could. The gold was there again, closer than before.
Every minute, the yellow light was more intense, but he was tired and starving. While the fog started to disappear, He fell asleep. The fog disappeared completely, and the canoe shook badly. Alfredo woke up and started running. He could feel the rocks with his feet. “I am finally on land.” He cried.
Even though he was dying, he continued walking without stopping. The gold was just right there. Alfredo could just open the treasure chest. His knees were shaking, and drops of water fell over the gold coins, “I am the richest man around the world” he cried with his last breath. His body fell over the gold coins while his eyes closed forever.
