Most of us have stories to tell-- a creepy, or just a sort of a scary story. I have had a lot of experiences of the same kind. Some I don't want to recall and some I sort to laugh on.
It is awkward to wish you to enjoy my stories, but I hope you do.
And by the way, who is that reading with you?
Sometime in 2014, I gave in to my husband's request. We went on a short trek with some of our friends. I was a workaholic and homebody person and was very seldom that I would go somewhere else. I even had a hard time going to malls.
We started the base camp late since we had to wait for the others. It was Friday afternoon, thus, the rush hour syndrome. We were behind the schedule that we had to camp on as soon as night fell. We were not yet at our destination but decided to change the plan anyway.
During the bonfire, we have shots of liquors going around. I was the one pouring for them, though I was not quite sure why I did that. They started to tell spooky stories. I did not dare to share mine since I was not in the mood. My husband's cousin began telling a story that he heard during his previous hike.
The incident happened on the same mountain, and we passed through the said place. It was a story of lovers who went trekking but did not come back. Everyone was so attentive and claimed to have felt goosebumps. I was beginning to feel the vibe and decided to refrain from passing the shot glass of vodka after the last round. But something strange happened.
In the blink of an eye, I saw everyone change their positions - the girls were holding each other while the boys went silent. They suddenly looked at me. I noticed I am still holding the shot glass, which I was supposed to give to the next person.
It looked like I was the only person unaffected. I got a little uneasy and felt like the story was taking its time. I asked, "So, what happened?"
The girls sent their violent reactions as if I did something wrong. I was confused about why they all looked against knowing the full story. They looked at me, wondering. And so
