Chapter 1.
“Erin, Hurry up!”Lilly shouted. Placing their lunch by the door, she looked at the stairs, waiting for a certain ginger haired, emerald eyed girl to emerge. No such luck. “Sorry, I'll be down in a minute” Erin shouted while tying her two pigtails with large, black bows. “She's always sorry this, sorry that!”Complained an ill tempered brunet. She narrowed her pitch black eyes at the ancient clock that ticked time away. Not that it mattered to her, she just wanted to have a go at the childish ginger haired brat.
“If your not down here in 5 seconds we're leaving without you,” Snapped Sarah without taking her eyes of the novel she was reading. “Shit!”The voice from upstairs replied. With graceful elegance Erin swung herself over the banister from the top of the stairs and jumped down onto the wooden floor. “Finally!” Jade exclaimed. “If you had come out any later I would of dragged you down by your pigtails.” Erin sighed, she had gotten used to Jade's meaningless threats in a few days but after living with her for over three weeks...well...they could get irritating. “I already said sorry and it wasn't entirely my fault.”
“Then who's fault is it?”Sarah questioned, The ginger haired female pointed at Jade and Sarah looked up. “Hers.” she stated simply,
“What the flip?” Jade snapped.
“You were in my room yesterday weren’t you?” Asked Erin,
“Well yeah but.”
“And my alarm didn't wake me up on time either,”Her emerald eyes narrowed at Jade. “I wonder why?” She retorted with a strong hint of sarcasm.
“Hey guys, lets just go.” Lilly smiled trying to stop the conflict between the two heated as well as dangerous females. She knew if Erin was angry her abilities would double and Jade would be helpless against her. “Fine!” Exclaimed the ginger girl starting to dress in her warm school jumper and cotton scarf. “I heard it's quite chilly outside so dress up warmly.” Lilly said matter of factly. On that note the four friends exited the pleasant warmth of their historic home, only to be met with the complete opposite.
The freezing winter wind greeted them bitterly all the while biting at their naked skin. No matter how high they pulled their scarves up, part of their face was still left exposed, turning their cheeks a rosy red colour. Their feet scrunched through the knee deep white blanket, it's scrunching sound disturbing the perfect silence of the isolated forest. “How about a race to warm ourselves up?” Asked Jade while rubbing her gloved hands together.
“Doesn't seem like a bad idea,” Lilly chirped adjusting her scarf and bag.
“I don't mind either,” The usually quiet raven haired girl but in. However Jade didn't care if they participated in the race or not, her only intention was to race the simple minded Erin and Erin only. The emerald eyed girl excelled her in everything. If Jade got a silver medal, Erin got gold. If Jade got an A on a test, Erin got an A*. If Jade had a few guys interest, Erin had a whole fan club. The young brunette was jealous that the stupid ginger got everything.
“Hey stupid,” Jade turned and addressed her rival.
“What?” Erin snapped.
“Aren't you going to participate?”
“With the likes of you? Hells no.” She sighed.
“Why little girl, are you afraid that I'll beat you?” taunted Jade.
Erin got angry, 'I'll never lose to this selfish idiot.' she thought while fixing her bag strap ready for the race. “Your on.”
“On your marks, get set.” All four of them shouted in unison. “GO!” The young girls ran faster than the speed of light. Erin was in the lead and that's when Jade decided got pissed. Plants grew faster than nature would allow and tried to twist around Erin's ankles to trip her. Trees swung their branches at her to slow her pace down but Erin continued running while dodging every obstacle in her way.
'Darn it, at this rate she's going to win.' thought Jade, 'come on muscles, just a bit more.' She urged her body to run but it was too late. Erin touched the school gate followed by the rest. Jade sank to her knees and shouted angrily at nothing in particular while tears formed in her eyes. “Darn it! What makes her so special huh?” She started sobbing “Why can't I still beat the crap out of her.” Erin walked up to Jade and before she knew it a red mark was on one of the brunettes cheek, “Get a hold of your self Jade!” Erin screamed. “Are you a flipping wimp?” Jade placed a hand where Erin's slap stung.
The ginger girl knelled down next to her and gave her a hug. “You just have to try harder and harder until you beat the living crap out of me, okay?” Erin tried to assure her usually brutal friend. “Your right.” Sniffed Jade. “Someday I'll beat you Erin Winter, just you wait!”
“That's the spirit, Now lets go before the sun comes and burns us to ashes.”
“But, didn't the Vampire Government create pills for you. You know, to make you half human during the day?” Jade asked confused.
“Yeah, but you guys refuse to take them so YOUR gonna burn to ashes.” Erin sighed face palming. “She's got a point Jade, so hurry up will ya?” Sarah looked at her sternly. Climbing to her feet the four vampires made their way into the building.
Chapter 2 – Castle.
'Darn it,' thought a certain brown haired vampire while clicking his pen away. “Kyle!” Shouted Simon, his voice echoing through his empty chambers. In a short while Kyle appeared leaning casually against his door, “You called brother,” Kyle didn't ask it, he stated.
“Don't you dare call the likes of you my brother.” Simon spat. “You half breed.”
“But we share the same blood, don't we bro?” Kyle mimicked mickey mouse's voice.
“This is the last time I'll say it Kyle Launders.” Simon's voice was harsh. “You're. Not. My. Brother.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Kyle smirked showing his sharp canines. “So why did you call the 'likes of me' your majesty?” He did an exaggerated bow.
“I know for a fact that there's a pure blood in Phillips Boarding School.” Simon laughed.
“So?” Sighed Kyle, clearly bored of his older brother's presence on Earth.
“I want you to get rid of it.”
“Say what?” Kyle was shocked. “You can't go killing other vampires just 'cause you want to.”
“Your point?” Simon snapped while clenching his hand in a fist. “Father wanted ME to change this vampire race, make it better and that's what I'm doing.”
“Did he exactly say, 'Simon son, go kill every pure blood?'” Kyle used his voice and facial expressions to create a like version of their father. “I don't think so brother, and I'm not going to go do your dirty work for you either.” He said harshly while pointing a finger at the golden eyed jerk.
“Fine.” He paused, “I'll go ask Elizabeth, I'm sure she won't have a problem with my request.”
Kyle looked away from Simon's intimidating golden eyes and decided to stare at the wall instead. “Since when did the wall become SO interesting?” Asked Simon mockingly.
“Okay.” Kyle sighed while digging his nails into his palm.
“Okay what, Kyle?”
“Fine I'll bloody do it.” The raven headed 16 year old stared at the family member who he despised. “Good.” Simon smiled, clearly pleased that this talk had actually gotten somewhere unlike all the other conversations, which usually ended in throwing objects at each other.
Kyle walked into his room all the while cursing under his breath. 'That selfish bastard, who does he think he is ordering ME around and sending ME to kill some innocent person.' he thought while slamming open the door to his private chambers. “Master Kyle?” Asked a female voice, “What is it now Elizabeth?” Kyle questioned emotionless.
“I heard your going on a mission.” She stated and started fiddling with the hem of her maid's uniform. “Yeah, what about it?” Kyle's voice was harsh and that set the young female into quite sobs. But unfortunately with Kyles good hearing, which sometimes came in handy, he heard when her voice faltered and when the crying stopped. “Master Kyle,” She started in hiccups, “Make sure to come back safely.” Elizabeth then ran out of his room and headed towards the kitchen where Simon stopped her in her tracks.
“Oi!” He barked. The hair at the nape of her neck stood up “Where were you just now?” Elizabeth refused to look up knowing too well that if he saw her crying, he'll slap her. “Good evening Master Simon,” She caught her hiccups in time, “I was wishing Master Kyle a safe journey and packed all the necessary things he'll need.” She felt his golden eyes inspecting her, to see if she was lying but he could detect nothing. “Hmph,” Was his reply before walking off. She refused to think of things like 'so glad he didn't clock.' or 'thank god he didn't hurt me.' Because she knew that being a vampire he could listen in on her thoughts.
After the hall was clear of his presence, she made her way to her tiny chambers instead where she cried all her problems into a pillow. “Why is he so mean?” She kept questioning her self. “He clearly knows how I feel, yet...” The door handle started to shake, twist and turn. She quickly made her bed presentable and rushed into the toilet. When the door opened Elizabeth flushed it to make it seem like she used the loo. Running the tap and washing her red eyes away, she smiled into the mirror, seeing if she seemed decent enough. Brushing her short black hair and quickly straightening her uniform, she opened the door. Kyle was sitting on her bed with a photo album.
“Oh, hi Kyle,” She tried to seem cheerful. He kept quite, “Have fun on your mission.” His raven bangs blocked her view of his stunning crimson eyes. Still he said nothing but instead closed the photo album placing it exactly where he took it from. Then he got up and stood in front of her, “Hey Liz.” His voice came out softer than her last encounter with him. He pulled her by her hand into a quick hug. One of his hands on her head, gently patting it and the other around her waist. Elizabeth was shocked, she was sure that her whole face was red from embarrassment but to feel his strong arms around her was worth everything she's been through with Simon.
“Take care my little raven,” He whispered pulling away as quickly as he'd swooped in. “And I swear, if that bastard lays a finger on you, I won't even consider on spearing his life.” She smiled but knew that to Kyle she was nothing more than a version of a sister and that killed her more than anything.
He left her dazed in her own room, she missed his warmth already but was glad that she had at least witnessed his caring side even if it lasted a short while. Simon was in front of the grand doors. “Take care Kyle.” was all he said while ushering him out. 'Darn it, I should of taken Liz with me. Who knows what that brutal bastard is capable of.' thought Kyle while slinging his bag over his right shoulder and making his way to his black and white Lamborghini. “Here goes nothing.” He muttered under his breath while starting the engine and off he went, almost as fast as a cheater.
Chapter 3 – Phillips Boarding School
Three of the four girls went to their class a little earlier while the other one stared dreamily at the winter wonderland outside the window. The bell rang. ' Stupid, stupid. Now your gonna be late' Erin's conscience warned her. 'Shut up,' she scolded it and walked calmly to her form room without caring if she was late or not. She entered the class room with a grand entrance while some unknown student was up front. “Morning Guys,” she greeted her class and they all stared at her and happily replied, “Morning Erin,” She smiled and went over to her window seat.
“Erin, how dare you walk into my-” The teacher started shouting.
“Shut up old man, I'm tired you know.” She interrupted. “And your voice is something in the morning that I don't wanna hear.”
'did she just tell me to shut up, did she just call me an old man?' the teacher thought shocked, 'the nerve of that child.' She placed her head on the table and ignored the teachers ranting. When she got bored of hearing it in the background she looked up with an innocent look on her face. “Didn't I say to shut up” She stated politely.
The teacher was angry and he was about to explode when she said. “I'm tired of your yapping already, just shut-the-hell-up.” She commented and did a zipping motion on his mouth. Suddenly, Mr Holmes didn't utter a word. Oh he tried, but he couldn't, “See that's better isn't it guys?” She laughed and looked at the faces that admired her handiwork. But her happiness was short lived when she heard their thoughts. 'that guy is really hot,' or 'wow he has unusual eyes like Erin, I wonder if he's also a vampire.'
Her head snapped towards the new comer and a small smile spread across her face, yes he was attractive but she wasn't interested. Mr Holmes was writing on the board, However each time when he wrote the sentence, Erin used levitation on the board rubber and rubbed away what he wrote . The class burst into uncontrolled laughter while he grunted and looked at her sternly. He knew that she could read his mind and thought of the punishment. Mr Holmes projected it louder than other thoughts in the room and indeed she heard it.
'As your punishment Erin Winter, You are to be his' he pointed at the knew guy. 'partner until you graduate.' Erin jumped out of her seat exclaiming a loud “WHAT? GIVE ME A BREAK!” While the guy at the front smirked and she knew that he heard the punishment too. “Fine,” She sighed sitting back down, the crimson eyed teen made his way over to her desk. “Me names Kyle,” He smiled revealing his sharp canines. “And what makes you think that I care” Erin sulked.
“Aww, don't be like that,” He looked at her almost pleadingly.
“Like what?” She snapped frustrated that he'd have to tag along everywhere she went.
“Bitchy,” He said seriously. She stared at him.
“I. Don't. Like. You.” Erin spelled out as he flew towards the other end of the class room.
The class stopped laughing and stared at the new pair fighting. They were shocked that the knew comer had the nerve to talk to Erin in a manner like that. But after all he didn't know that when she's angry, she could kill someone. “Ow sweetie,” He fake rubbed his head. “That hurt, and I was just starting to like you.”
“Like me my ass boy.” She spat and the bell rang. Everyone were glad, they didn't want to get into a fight between two vampires, especially a fight that included Erin. Vampire fights in this school were rare, because everyone knew their place. Erin slung her bag over her shoulder and made her way out. She abruptly stopped and looked at Mr Holmes. “Don't make me regret it Sir,” She smirked while doing the unzipping motion. “Erin.” His voice came out soar.
“What now?” He snapped,
“Don't forget him.” He pointed at a smiling Kyle. 'darn it'
The ginger girl waited a second before the raven head was by her side. As they were walking, people looked at them in awe, after all it's not often that Erin is arguing with some but Jade. However as soon as she saw a blonde haired kid walk out of a class room she left the crimson eyed freak behind and ran towards him. “Z-a-ck” She shouted spelling out every syllable. The blonde haired guy turned around only to be met with wide open arms that went round his neck and a pair of long legs that hoisted them selves at his waist.
Zack's beautiful blue eyes widened at the sight of Erin so close and blushed a deep red. Her eyes were watery and he saw them before she burried her face in the crook of his neck. “H-hey Erin,” He stammered. “W-what's wrong?” She looked back up at him and pointed to Kyle. Zack narrowed his unnaturally deep sea eyes at the new guy. “I'm stuck with him until I graduate.” she complained.
“Aww, come on Angel,” He tried soothing her. “It's not that bad.” Erin smiled half heartedly at the guy before her. She nodded and quickly jumped off. She still had her arms draped around his neck while whispering into his sensitive ear, “But if I get pissed, don't blame me if you find him dead.” He let out a laugh while she dropped her hands to her sides and looked at Zack in amusement. “Give me a piggy back ride please” He looked at her puppy dog eyes and couldn't refuse. “Hop on,” He said simply and she did. All the while Kyle was trailing behind them unhappily, when he suddenly got bored of getting ignored.
“Oi ginger brat.” He shouted across the hall where she was giggling and messing up the blondes hair. She didn't turn around until she felt her hair burning but when she did, she just put up a hand and threw him to the other end of the corridor. Her hair was black at the tips , not that she cared. “Damn it, I've never been treated with such violation.” He muttered to him self. “Are you all right?” Asked Lilly kneeling beside him.
“No, that ginger brat just threw me against the wall.” He confessed to the stranger.
“Oh your talking about Erin.” Lilly understood straight away. “Don't mind her, she doesn't like any guys here apart from Zack.” She smiled knowingly.
“Yeah well she'll have to like me sooner or later.” He snapped.
“Whys that?” Sarah questioned walking over to the collapsed Kyle.
“'Cause I'm her partner until we graduate,” He smirked.
“What?” They both shouted in unison.
“Haven't you heard?” Jade asked smiling while retying her two plaits. “She made Mr Holmes shut up in form room and that was his punishment.”
“And I thought Jade was a nuisance,” Sarah commented.
“Hey, at least I don't need anger management like that freak.” She snapped.
“What's your lesson anyway?” Asked Jade
“Maths.” He sighed. “And I'm stuck with 'her'.” He made a face that showed pure disgust
“Like you said.” Said Sarah with a bored tone. “She'll have to like you sooner or later and you'll have to like her too” They took him to his class and made their way to theirs.
Poor Kyle had to survive the rest of the day watching Zack and Erin smile, talk, laugh, enjoy their time together and...and... 'WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT HIM ANYWAY?!' his thought snapped. 'jealous are we?' his conscience spoke. 'Shut the hell up!' he shouted inside his head. “And anyway why do I care.” He muttered. The school day finally ended and tutor time came again. It didn't even start yet but Erin and Zack were already talking outside the class room while whispers started inside about 'the couple'.
Before Erin could even say goodbye, Kyle dragged her into form. “Darn it!” She snapped at him, “Who the hell do you think you are!” she looked him up and down. Kyle was outraged 'I'm your bloody partner' he thought. “What?” she poked his chest. “What do you mean 'I'm your bloody partner, that don't mean nothing” She questioned.
“What the hell is wrong with you!” He shouted at her. “It's only been a few hours and you already hate me, get a flipping hold of your self girl.” The class watched in amusement as they argued. “Get a hold of myself?” She asked. “Follow your own advise, stupid,” They argued and argued until they realised that a teacher walked in minutes ago “Stop it now.” He shouted over their raised voices. They stopped glaring at each other just to turn around and tell Mr Holmes to shut the hell up. “Detention!” He screamed. “Both of you.”
“Say what?” They shot a look at him. He sighed before deciding to carry on speaking.
“Like it or not, your going to be partners until you graduate. End of story.” He snapped.
“With this thing here?” Erin asked pointing at Kyle. The class laughed.
“I could say the same for you stupid.” He stared at her with his crimson eyes full of anger, however they softened when they met her emerald ones. 'get a hold of your self' he told him self harshly making sure she didn't hear it.
Two months passed but their peer relationship didn't change. However one thing did, Kyle completely forgot about the mission and waking up to a phone call from Simon wasn't exactly what he had in mind. “This is Kyle.” he answered tiredly,
“Kyle, long time no see!” Simon shouted excitedly through the phone. “So did you get rid of it yet?” The tired raven head tried to figure out what Simon meant, and then he remembered.
“Of cause not!” Kyle snapped. “There are so many vampires in this damn school that I don't know which one I'm meant to get rid off.” He ran a hand through his hair frustrated at that jerk. Simon was right, there was no way they could be related but his dad told him otherwise. “I'll give you another year,” Simon sighed, all his excitement deflated. After that, Kyle hung up on him and sat up in bed.
It was February the first and it was a school day. Kyle went into the bathroom still thinking on how to find that pure blood when he heard a knock on the door followed by a loud, “Yo Kyle, hurry up or we'll get another detention 'cause of you.” Kyle brushed his teeth and made his way over to the door where a very irritated ginger girl was standing. “Hey brat, shut your trap.” He snapped. “And we're usually late because of you stupid.”
She stared at him in awe, “Well if you hurried the heck up and went to class before me, you wouldn't be stuck with me ass wipe,” She smirked. Kyle thought her sentence over before replying. “That's true.” He paused thinking of a smart remark. “But your my partner and like it or not we're meant to arrive to form together.” Erin growled and puffed up her cheeks in anger.
“What ever just get fully dressed,” She sighed seeing that he only had his trousers on.
Kyle flashed a smile before he shut the door and got him self ready. While he was getting dressed, he heard quite voices outside and listened in. “Oh come on Erin,” Zack's voice spoke softly. “He can't be that bad.” He tried reassuring the emerald eyed girl.
“Try spend a day with him,” She snapped, “And lets see if you can handle that jerk.”
Zack gave a loud laugh and as Kyle opened the door only to see him wipe away Erin's tears, then pull her into a hug.
He also saw that Erin's face was red and bowled his hand in a fist for some unknown reason to him. “Oh, he's out now.” Zack smiled and pulled away from her. “I better get going Lil red.” He winked and ran off towards his class mates. Erin watched his retreating figure until he turned a corner. “Let's go,” Kyle said unemotionally while staring at the flushed girl. She nodded, no spiteful remark and she actually agreed. Kyle was stunned.
His crimson eyes were kept glued to the floor as he remembered how he hugged Elizabeth and face also was red, maybe it was a usual reaction for girls. But Zacks face was also flushed as he ran away. All this time Erin kept quite and Kyle didn't enjoy the silence. He much rather they were arguing and shouting at each other than this. “Yo brat?” He asked but got no response, he halted in his tracks making the young ginger run into him.
“Why did you stop?” She questioned looking up at him with her shiny emerald eyes. He scanned her briefly. “'Cause you didn't reply and I thought you died somewhere a few feet away.” He tried to get her to snap at him, no such luck. She just stared at him confused and averted her gaze at the floor. “Oh, we should get to class,” she said without much enthusiasm. Kyle turned back around and started walking. He tired to hack into her thoughts but they were blocked by a thick wall.
'Dang it, what's wrong with her. One minute she's yelling at me to hurry up and the next she's all quite.' he thought. 'Stupid girl, wait why am I worrying?' Kyle shook his head to get rid of the thoughts and after a few more minutes of silence he couldn't take it any more. He clicked his fingers and flames appeared on the girls pig tales. However she just placed her finger into the mouth and then extinguished them.
He had to do something before everyone else got worried. Kyle then remembered her yelling at him once when he touched her shoulder in attempt to comfort her, “Don't you dare touch me, I swear down I'll make you lose your hand.” He smiled. Pulling an unaware Erin into his arms he patted her head the same way he did to Elizabeth. The ginger girl's forest green eyes widened as she stiffened in his arms.
Kyle however enjoyed the feeling and smirked knowing that she's bound to explode. Oh and explode she did. “KYLE!” She shouted punching him into the class room. “Didn't I tell you to never touch me?!” Erin yelled, her face flushed more from anger than embarrassment. Staring at him she jumped on top and started strangling the raven haired pervert.
However physically, Kyle was stronger and in a second flipped her over pinning her down as she squirmed against him. She then lifted a foot and kicked him in the area where the sun don't shine. This is the only time when she's glad that her dad made her take gymnastics. While he was crouched down in pain, Erin made use of the class room plants. Their vines twirled around his body forcing the air out of his lungs. Then they tied around him but not as tight so he could still breath. After all Erin wasn't that cruel.
Everyone from other classes ran to see what all the commotion was about. Zack gave a thumbs up to Erin and she smiled before the principal ran in. “Erin!” He boomed. “My office, NOW!” She dusted off her uniform and walked behind the principal. When they arrived Erin noticed that many different paintings were scattered along the walls. “Take a seat,” The Principal sighed while taking his own behind the desk. “What the hell happened in there?” He questioned.
She captured his eyes with her own and repeated. “Nothing happened.” She slowly spoke. “Nothing happened, I swear.” The man watched her in a daze until she snapped her fingers and he was out of the hypnoses. “Oh,” He paused, “I see, so it was all a misunderstanding?” He asked. She looked at him with innocent eyes and nodded.
“Sir, I swear.” She smiled. “We were playing and then it got a little out of hand. That's it.”
The principal looked at her and shook his head. “Okay, get back to class.” He sighed. “Call Kyle in,” As she got up, her head snapped his way. 'He wants Kyle. Shit, if that ass wipe gets in the way, we'll be in more trouble.' she thought... 'did I just say we'll, I meant I.' she convinced her self. Once again she looked at the white haired, grey eyed principal. “That won't be necessary.” She spoke sternly. “Of cause it is.” He snapped. “I need to hear the story from him too”
“Are you saying that I'm lying sir?” She questioned. “He's a new kid, I've been here longer than him, sir. Trust me”
“Only by a few weeks and it's not that I don't...” Paused the Principal looking up from the paper was filling in. “Erin, you must understand my-” But Erin didn't let him finish. Her green cat like eyes glowed as she snapped. “I said it won't be necessary, so it won't.” His eyes went black and foggy for a moment before he snapped out of it. “Should I call Kyle sir?” She asked politely. “Oh, don't worry about it Erin, it won't be necessary.”
Erin wiped her sweated hands on her uniform and happily walked out. When she did, Kyle was making his way to the office. She skipped to him with a wide grin plastered on her face and said. “Hey, where are ya going.”
“Principle,” He growled
“Oh, okay, bye!” She laughed and skipped away to English. Kyle looked at her with a puzzled look and thought. 'weird. Any way she's toast after I tell the principle.'
Kyle entered the office while removing some vines that he didn't burn before. “Principle?” He looked at the figure who's head was lying on the table. The Principle didn't answer, Kyle got worried and walked up to him. Shaking his shoulders he kept repeating. “Principle, Principle Stanley?” 'what has she done to him, damn it.' he cursed. 'check his pulse.' his conscience whispered.
Kyle took the old man's wrist and found the pulse. It was beating. “Thank God.” Muttered Kyle. Then deep snoring escaped his mouth. “Sir?” he sprayed some water at him. The man's grey eyes snapped open and looked at Kyle sternly. “Kyle?” He asked. “What are you doing here?”
“You..” Kyle started.
“Oh, right.” He remembered. “You can go.” he said tiredly
“But-”
“Go, English is going to start now.”
“Okay sir.” Kyle replied confused but made his way out the door and to English. He entered the class room and the teacher nodded him to a seat. Lucky him, it was right next to her. He stared at it for a second deciding whether to sit or not. Taking his seat he noticed that Erin was actually asleep. The only reason Erin was tired was because of the pills side effects. After she takes the human pill, she can't use all her powers. There's a limit, so using hypnoses twice on the Principal wore her out.
But Kyle thought otherwise, he realised the lesson was about Romeo and Juliet and decided to fall asleep. His eyes didn't open until the fire alarm went off. 'if this is the teachers way of saying get up I am going to fry her.' Kyle thought frustrated. He looked around and the teachers were ushering everyone out. “Is that everyone?” Miss Sailor asked. Everyone nodded except for Kyle. “No, Erin is still in there” Snapped Kyle. The teachers got most of them out and checked the class room. “Erin's not in there honey,” Mrs Lils said.
“Yes she is!” Kyle shouted. “I can see her.” Indeed Kyle did see her, 'darn it, she must of gone invisible by accident.' he cursed,
“Oh dear, I think the smoke has gotten to his brains,” Miss Sailor panicked, “Mrs Lils take him outside now.”
“But Erin she's in-”
“She's safe with everyone outside honey,”
The class room was getting filled with smoke and Miss Sailor didn't see anyone else in there, she locked the class room to prevent the fire from spreading any further. The whole of 10A where outside and the teachers were running the registers. Miss Sailor went through all the boys first, everyone were present. She was now going through the girls “Lauren Waterstone?”
she asked. A hand was raised high in the middle of the row. “Aurora Willson?” Another hand was raised. Kyle knew that the next name should be Erin and hoped that she'd be outside, hoped that the smoke did effect him upstairs. “Erin Winter?” The blonde teacher called. “Erin Winter?” she said louder this time.
“Shit,” Kyle swore under his breath. Meanwhile Erin had woken up coughing in a room surround by grey smoke. This was another bad thing about the pills, they made your heart beat and your lungs work, so soon enough her lungs were filed by that smoke. She tried to open the window but it was shut tightly, she also tried to open the door but it was locked.
“Damn-” Erin tried to speak but as soon as she did. Her mouth was filled by the poison in the air and she started coughing again. She couldn't breath and the light was becoming dimmer by the second. Keeping her eyes open was too much to ask and soon they shut. An image entered her head before she passed out; a blonde guy with blue eyes but the picture shifted to a guy with black hair and crimson orbs instead.
