Journal entry 1:
I have now gathered the essentials to my life and journey; I am to take weapons of my choice as well. This will be the ending of my new beginning I will take it as a single gesture of knowledge and go. I can’t say that I am not afraid or happy to do this, all I cam say is that this has to be completed. It is my mission and I shall take it with enough pride to keep me going. I need to go, for I have to finish packing.
“Mom, do you know where my bag is?” I said with much impatience. “I need it really bad.”
“Hun, I don’t, wait why do u need it?”
“Im sorry mom I can’t say right now.”
“Ok, well im sorry I don’t know.”
This kind voice she took with me now was a little nerve racking, she usually took a hostile feature and a stern tone of voice with me. I walked out of my room and entered the hallway, it felt cooler, and my mother must have quit drinking for a change. I took a plastered smile on my face as she called me down for supper, my last meal at home, I would honestly miss her, why does life have to be so hard on us Yxareours? U may not be familiar with that term because you must have never heard of it. We are a special breed; we have keen eyesight, acute hearing and perfect smell. We hunt when we feel the need, we murder when we like, and we fly, yes, we fly. I fly for the joy of the wind as it races through my feathers. I like the gentle breeze on my face, and what I really like is flying on the currents, or air drafts, in the sky, between the clouds. I have learned to draft by watching the fellow birds who have made just to speak to me (no birds don’t talk) but since im half bird, then we have the same relations. The thought of all this left me rooted where I stood. My mother had to calmly name two more times to collect my attention once more. I had taken my seat across the table at the far end and picked up my fork. Our butler Fredrick, brought me my plate full of steamed vegetables, (I was a complete vegetarian in front of my mom), and I quickly grabbed up the cauliflower and began to put it in my mouth. I looked up as my mother cleared her throat and looked up at me, and then she said, “Max, whatever has been up with you for the past several days, I want it stopped.” I looked down and looked over my plate. Then said to myself,” I believe this was the same speech she told my father as he walked straight out the front door.” I looked up and said, mother you, think that I’m leaving don’t you?” she looked up from her dinner plate and looked her cold steely grained eyes. “My dear I do hope that you remember the story of when your father walked out on us right?” she nodded toward Fredrick to leave the room. I laid my fork down and looked up at her then said, “Yes mother, unfortunately, I do.” She then shut her eyes to a slit and looked at me then said,” Then you would know how heartbroken I felt after that.”
I quickly got up from where I sat and said, “Yes mother, unfortunately I do.”
“Then how come I get this sudden impression that you’re going to leave me soon, huh!”
“Mom, jus-just drop it! Ok!” I cut off with a growl.
I got up and threw the plate, breaking it, into the sink. I ran to my room with sudden fierceness.
“Maxaria Renee you get your butt back here and clean this mess up!”
“NO! We have a butler for that, REMEMBER!” I cut off with a sharp slam to my door to tell her this conversation was over.
Well readers I am on my way to living the best life ever as well as finding the one who has learned my secret.
