Prologue

This world is full of many troubles, pain, sorrow and discomfort. It’s through these things that we endure our faith. It’s also through these things that we lose the love we have for one another. Whether for our friends, our soul mates, or the people who are around us. Though these obstacles come our way, we still need to know that they are here for a purpose. That is, so your faith may become stronger, and for you to have enough experience. They’re for your own good. It shouldn’t be at the end of your life that all these impediments come your way. Experience during a tender age is what increases one’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding about life. They give you warnings, and once you go through them, only then will you know that life is not FOR you, it is against you. Life keeps secrets that you may or may not understand, it you were to know it. Even if you did understand, it still wouldn’t tell you. Why? Well, it just wouldn’t, that’s how things are sometimes. Until you have gone through so much trouble and pain, life will never, ever tell you its secrets. Neither will it caution you of the happenings of the future.
Now, I’m not saying that your experience will be tougher and harder than mine. All I’m saying is that in one way or the other, you will have at least one lesson to learn from. You may have already been through challenges, overcame them, and never knew you did. Why did I say that you ask? Well, because experiences are the outcomes of challenges. They come in different levels. Most of those who are reading this and thinking that they’ve never experienced any trouble before, are probably those who have gone through the lowest levels of challenges. Is that a question I hear? How do you know that you are going through any trouble? Good question. To answer that, you need to answer some questions yourself. First of all, is your mind at peace? Second of all, are you in need of something or someone? Not if you want something. But remember, what you want could somehow turn to something you need, depending on what it is. And finally, when was the last time you experienced happiness, as I would say, joy? If you answered yes to the first two questions, then your mind is obviously troubled, but you may not notice it. Whether it is financial problems, marital problems, or any other kind of problems, you need to know that with a strong and enduring faith, you will overcome all your obstacles standing in your way.
You will be reading about a 27-year old woman, who has lost all her faith due to a major break-up (heart break). Faith of what you may ask? Well, of ever finding true love, of course. As she lives a life of doubt, her friends try to pull her conscience in many different directions, not knowing that her conscience itself has made up its mind. The scars and wounds that her ex-boyfriend left still remained in her heart, until one day when she met a special person. A person who changed her life for good, who healed her wounded heart, and who made her realize that she’s not alone. As they got to know each other, their relationship grew into something so indescribable. But this is the one question she continued to ask herself. Will it last forever? These parts of her life are not in this story, but let’s see what the end is.

The End Of Love

“What is up with you? You barely spend time with me, you don’t pick my calls, and when I’m trying to get your attention, your eyes shift to other women. Now you say you got a phone call, and that you have to be at work. Are you serious? On our date? Oh, you have got to be kidding me. You’re not going anywhere mister.” Christine said, as her temper rose. “Christy, why are you getting angry over nothing? Have you ever caught me red-handed, with another woman? Huh? Answer me Christy. Have you ever seen me flirt with someone else besides you?” Brian said in gentle, but annoyed voice. With guilt, Christine replied. “Well, no. But, all I was trying to tell you was that I feel lonely whenever you’re not with me. And when you’re with me, it’s usually only for a short period of time, and I’m never satisfied with that.” Getting really annoyed, Brian raised his voice a little, but not enough for the people in the restaurant could hear. “Of course you’re never satisfied! You’re barely satisfied with anything! You complain about everything. How I look at women, how I talk to women, how I dress going to work, and definitely, how I never say I love you whenever I’m about to get off the phone. You irritate me! You know what? Sometimes I even wonder why I started dating you in the first place.” With this, Christine couldn’t take any of the insults and harassments any longer. With anger and ire showing in her eyes, Christine gave a loud piercing cry as she yelled. “I irritate you?! Do you know how it feels to love someone who doesn’t have any feelings for you? Do you know how it feels for the one you love to break up with you? Brian, do you know how it feels to know that you may never find love again?” “And how does this concern me?” Brian said, without even caring about how Christy must have felt. “Brian, do you know how happy I was to find out that I wasn’t going to be alone, and to know that you fell in love with me the first time you set your eyes on me? Do you know how hard it is to ignore the thought that one day you might betray or regret the day you said you loved me? Do you know how sad it is for that one thought to take its place? Brian I’ve loved you with all my heart, and with all my soul. I thought that maybe if I was to love you more than you loved me, you would appreciate me. But now that you’re telling me this, I now see that you’re nothing but a jerk! You disgust me!” Christine said ignoring Brian’s question. “You know what? You make me sick! This relationship is beyond over!” Brian exclaimed. “I hate you! You’re the worst thing that has ever happened to me!” Christine yelled, as she raised her voice to the highest level. In a soft, gentle voice, Brian whispered something that seemed to have gotten Christy to lower her high-pitched voice. “People are looking at you.” With this being said, Christine could not believe that she had just embarrassed herself in the presence of everyone who was in that restaurant. Turning very slowly, with a glimpse of a smile, and blinking a thousand times a minute so the juice in her eyes wouldn’t freeze as her nervousness rose, Christine exclaimed so everyone could hear. “Nothing happened! Just a little overreaction over some issue! No biggie! Um … you can continue eating now!” When I said everyone, I meant everyone, and no one excluded. But despite all the yelling Christine made, no one seemed to pay much attention to the words that came out of her mouth. They all were still shocked at the argument between Brian and Christy. Now, how embarrassing was that! “Oh God, these old couples are still staring at me,” Christine said, silently to herself, with clenched teeth. To save herself from another act of embarrassment, Christine quickly grabbed her purse and pretended as if she had to go use the restroom. Hiding her face from the old people so they wouldn’t see, Christine walked in an eccentric way, making it look as if she was about to burst if she didn’t get to the bathroom on time. As she got to the restroom, she slowed down, trying to catch her breath. She sat on the floor, thinking to herself, and asking herself many questions.

It’s true, that life is always against you and your decisions. But is it true that I’ll never find true love? Or is it true that there is no such thing as true love? Is it true that even the love of your life can also make you feel as if you’re nothing in his presence? In this world, true love doesn’t exist. It only exists in your mind. Besides that, nowhere else. Life is all about learning. If one does not know where true love is, they will never know that it doesn’t exist. Now mine, is definitely a
