A Real Poetic Story
There was one of our senior batch who refused to take the scholarship test of the reputed K-Line company while in the academy. I do not know if there is any precedent in the history of the Academy.
During our time in Bangladesh Marine Academy, five people each from the deck and engine department were given scholarships to a total of 10 people. The first 15 from the two departments and a total of 30 were called for the final interview. On the morning of the selection day, company representatives briefed 30 people and asked if anyone had any questions.
Zahir Raihan Sir, the 'College Prefect' of Barisal Cadet College then asked, apart from K-Line Company's containers, there are oil/chemical, gas tankers, in that case, whether there is a chance to go to the fleet of these tankers later.
