Chapter 1 The Start of a Nightmare

It was a stormy day when the zoo animals broke loose, first the tigers, then the lions, next the, racoons, lemurs, pandas, snakes, penguins, dingos and all the rest. They started moving south towards the nuclear waste dump, the tigers in the lead. When they got to the nuclear waste dump, they wandered around the piles of radioactive waste, not noticing cracks appearing in the rock hard ground. Slowly but surely a massive crack formed, suddenly the ground gave way beneath the animals, they fell hissing and roaring into a pit full of radioactive acid.

Then out of the pit rose disgusting mutant beasts. The animals rose up and started moving very quickly towards the closest town by the name of Volkom Valley, a family sitting inside one of the houses was watching TV, they heard a knock on the door, the kids ran to the door opened it and saw a mutant snake lying there, they screamed. The snake bit them both and they fell to the ground in agony, their eyes opened, they were snake eyes, fangs burst through their gums, and scales erupted on their skin. They bit their relatives, the same thing happened. Another family was reading and drawing, a knock at the door, "come in" the mother yelled walking over to the door, the door opened, a mutant lion was standing there, it bit her, she fell to the ground, fur grew on her skin, eyes like a lion's eyes, lion teeth replaced human teeth, claws replaced fingernails. The dad ran over and the mother sank her
