You say "Just close your eyes and make a wish"
And I wish that your preferences where just as easy
as clicking the start button and going to configuration.

I had to learn the hard way
that we've both been taught that it's okay
to judge a book by it's cover
when the cover reads "damaged goods".

And whatever whoever told you said,
it's not wrong to want what you can't have
Or atleast - we can't blame you,
especially when what you have is falling apart at the seams.

You can take it back, but don't kid yourself,
the only way those words can be erased
is with a time machine
Cause your lies may be dipped in gold,
but they hit the blood stream like mercury
Run liquid through my veins
and clutch my heart in a chokehold
that even you can't revoke.

I'd ask for honesty,
but not the type that you're familiar with
where it's all, I can't eat this

and my heart strings sink.
