About:

Deidre Duseson is an ordinary girl who lives in everybody’s shadow. It takes one summer for her mother Amber to embark the family on a life changing journey. Follow Deidre, a sophomore in college as to what she thinks will be just another regular holiday break. Will this be the summer Deidre will be led to God?

CHAPTER ONE

Sitting in her car, Deidre tapped the steering wheel rather concerned over the time.

“And, here you go.” The worker said from the window.  

Giving her the payment, she waved it off.

“It’s your lucky day! The fella up ahead paid for your meal in full!”

This surprised Deidre as she looked at the car leaving the lot.

Glancing behind, she noticed a family van had pulled in.

“I’d like to do the same.”

“Thank you so much!”  

Deidre continued the drive home moments later passing the sign reading Descover, Michigan welcoming her to her hometown. She was looking forward to spending her summer break after her sophomore year at college, with her family. Arriving home she headed to her room, having made it in time for her favorite show which ended with yet another cliff hanger.

Later that night, Deidre joined her parents for dinner. Her mother Amber, was quite the opposite of her with blonde hair. For her father Craig, it was only his brown eyes that left any sort of resemblance to Deidre.

“Craig did you tell her?”

“Tell me what?”

“I accepted a work position at church.” I would just love it if you both came to church with me this summer! What do you say Deidre?”

 

CHAPTER TWO

Heading to the kitchen Deidre passed her mom putting on her earrings.   

“We’re doing this thing?” She asked her dad.

“It’s for your mom.”

“Let’s get
