A no-one

I’ve crossed the line,

I’ve stepped over,

I’ve done all the things that you never done,

I’ve seen the light,

It had no halo,

It lit the light of the path that I chose to run,

My life is just a simple playground,

That will live in someone else’s memory,

And when I’m gone and you’re still sober,

You’ll relegate it to a page in history,

I’m a nothing; I’m a nothing at all,

I’m a line in book, you don’t read,

I’m a nothing; I’m a nothing at all,

I’m a speck in the dust of history,

I’ve climb that hill,

I’ve seen things that you wouldn’t believe,

I’ve swam that ocean,

Been deeper than you could ever be,

I’ve crossed the line,

I’ve stepped over,

I’ve done all the things that you never done,

I’ve seen the light,

It had no halo,

It lit the light of the path that I chose to run,

CHORUS

My life is just a simple playground,

That will live in someone else’s memory,

And when I’m gone and you’re still sober,

You’ll relegate it to a page in history,

I’ve climb that hill,

I’ve seen things that you wouldn’t believe,

I’ve swam that ocean,

Been deeper than you could ever be,

CHORUS

Nothing at all, no nothing at all,

Nothing but history,

Nothing, no nothing at all,

But I was always me,

And another

You can only hold on until you break,

Then I’ll pick up on your mistakes,

I’ll wear you down,

Then steal your crown,

I’ll nip your bud and then bury you in the ground,

Just to have a single night with you,

And another hopeless dream,

And another empty scene,

Another wish that’s out of reach,

And another lesson, I can’t teach,

A single night with you,

You can’t hold to what you’ve lost,

Your gonna pay the price,

Gonna count the cost,

Gonna roll in the grass then find that its moss,

Just to a single night with you,

CHORUS

I’ll wait till you’re on your side,

Until your ship has sailed and then capsized,

When you’re at your weakest point,

When your heart is broken and all seems lost

Just a single night with you,

You can only hold on until you break,

Then I’ll pick up on your mistakes,

I’ll wear you down,

Then steal your crown,

You can’t hold to what you’ve lost,

Your gonna pay the price,

Gonna count the cost,

CHORUS

Black and blue

Things are slipping away,

Like water through my fingers,

The last rose died today,

Yet, the last thorn still lingers,

I’m backed in a corner, there is no escape,

The chains are getting tighter,

The bruises will remain,

Things are getting bad,

Not sure which way to turn,

The cold is dancing with the wind,

The heat in the fire still burns,

I’m backed in a corner, there is no escape,

The chains are getting tighter,

The bruises will remain,

Black and blue,

Black and blue,

Stained with the colour of the bruise,

Black and blue,

Black and blue,

The scars hide the truth,

Black and blue

I can’t see any light,

This tunnel so dark, as dark as night,

I can’t see any way,

When the wind blows out the candle,

I’ve lost my escape,

I’m backed in a corner, there is no escape,

The chains are getting tighter,

The bruises will remain,

CHORUS

I’m backed in a corner, there is no escape,

I’m backed in a corner, there is no escape,

I’m backed in a corner, there is no escape,

I’m backed in a corner, there is no escape,

Bodhi Tree

Twenty nine years, complete pleasure,

Never raised a finger for anything,

16 years without a mother,

Then got to marry a beauty queen,

The bed was strewn with lotus leaves,

As he turned and said goodbye,

He’d seen the pain, the old, the holy man,

And saw the loss in dead man’s eyes,

Went to a river and cut it short,

Threw away the riches gained,

Slept and begged in the open fields,

Washed in the pouring rain,

Ate so little and bed of nails,

He found his inner peace,

Said to the world ‘don’t follow me’

Only you can hold what you seek,

Bodhi tree, Bodhi tree,

Sit beneath a Bodhi tree,

Bodhi tree, oh! Bodhi tree,

Find your inner peace,

They came to ask, they came to say,

They came to listen and talk,

He gave them hope and pathed the way,

Showed them the path to walk,

Never once did he command,

Never once he gave one choice,

And on the night of his last day,

He listened to the questioning voice,

CHORUS

Eighty years for eternity,

Now many sit under their own Bodhi tree,

You gave your all,

For a mind to be free,

We thank you our friend,

For letting us see,

For letting us be free.

Can't

Living in an unnamable street,

With people whose names I can’t repeat,

Dodging dogs who like to sleep,

In my way, in my path,

Beating my head against broken walls,

Trying to release all I know,

People smile, people laugh,

Travel empty roads to find my home,

To see her face, just once more,

She always waits, thoughts unknown,

I live for her, just for her,

Can’t live with you,

Can’t live without your touch,

Can’t live with you,

Love you so much, so much,

Live with people, who know my name,

They try so hard, can’t explain,

So different, but the same,

The looks, the eyes, the smiles,

Just can’t replace,

What I feel for her, for her,

I can’t live with you,

As much as you want me too,

I can’t always stay,

Breaks my heart to say goodbye,

But you never leave my mind,

I live for her, just for her,

CHORUS

Living in an unnamable street,

With people whose names I can’t
