Lost Child
Her heart stopped. Where is she? She looked over the tops of the endless heads bobbing up and down the corridor of the mall but saw nothing. Bending down to see if she could catch a glimpse from her two year olds height, nothing. Her heart now racing out of control she began calling her name, while running down the hall, looking in every store. Where is she? Stumbling into CVS she asked the old couple, then the man, he already had a little girl. She closed her eyes, turned around and opened them to toys, and then to child.
Chickens
She had no idea it would end like this. How many times did she tell him to “put the chickens out to pasture?” She had had enough! The Carrens where coming over for dinner and now their would be no chickens to make eggs. No chicken on the table. No chicken anything and he promised! He promised her he would do it. Why couldn’t he just do this one simple thing and put the chickens out to pasture? And the soup! What about the soup? I suppose he wants me to make noodle soup now without the chicken in it?
Two Cats
He jumped and missed. He hissed, louder then the other times. Now I've had had it. This was the end of it. The other cat is cunning, but he has no right to be here. This has always been my house and.....owww that hurt. I didn’t think he'd pull that one. The hairs going up on his back should have been an immediate indicator that trouble was coming, what is wrong with me? Am I too old? Too blind? never trust a green eyed cat, and why does he always move when I move? I think I love him.
