I feel your dear presence,
even when we don´t share,
the same view and sky...
I wonder if you wait for me
on the other side of the sea,
crossing my fears and the sun...
Had I seen the clouds of detachment,
Had I perceived the sadness of goodbye,
Had I seen my time was over
I would have left you before time.
You made it easy for me to need you,
you made me it easy for me to want you,
you made it easy for me to love you.
I walk now among crowds and wonder
which sky can hold my unspoken words
my desire for you and my fated love...
Love, it is never too much,
love, it is never too little.
Love till you become one
with love itself and your love.
Fear not, love holds no fears,
despair not, love goes on.
You and I are a story
with no end and no closure.
You and I have known each other,
even before our time together.
You and I know each other.
so fear not, we are fine.
I only have the sadness of your absence, the days that pass and don´t bring you near,
the absence of your whole person, my loneliness that grows immensely.
You shall never know the extent of this love I feel for you,
it feeds on my own heart and makes it bleed softly,
it kisses my tired soul and hopes to catch a glimpse of you
in the little time we were once given.
I look at the buildings in the city
and try to picture you somewhere,
looking at other buildings.
But mainly, I treasure the sky.
Maybe it is the only place
where our thoughts can meet again.
And nothing can make me forget
that behind cloudy skies like this one
there is still a sun that strives to shine.
Behind your mercurial moods
lies a bruised heart
Behind your manly ways
a lonely, unloved child.
Behind my distance
the love of a lifetime
