The Gecko Sammy
The little gecko wandered across his home, watching the little kid who was tapping the glass. “Squishy dead!” the little boy yelled, dead? The gecko thought. An older woman walked into the room and grabbed Sammy’s home. Sammy the gecko grabbed onto the little tree, which was placed in his home. It was a long car ride until it stopped, the older woman placed him on the ground. “Good-bye Sammy.” The woman glanced back before speeding away. Sammy watched as the car began to go further and further away, “now what?” Sammy said among his self. The gecko sat in his home not moving, he was scared of the new surroundings that faced him. Sammy sat; waiting hoping someone would come along and save him from this strange world. Hours later a snake came slithering by, Sammy sat up and ran over to the glass window and began banging and yelling for the snake to stop and come over. All of the noise got the attention of the snake; the snake slithered over to Sammy and stared at him. “Help, Get me out of here!” Sammy yelled at the snake, the snake titled his head UN aware of what the little gecko was saying. Sammy realized the snake couldn’t hear him, so Sammy thought “charades” the gecko said aloud. The snake just watched in wonder as the gecko made words with his body movements, the snake slithered and opened the lid to let him out. Sammy said his thanks and began to walk towards home, to the little boy and older woman. The snake laughed and began to speak, “Where you going Dinner? We aren’t done here, the names Slick and I love me some gecko” Sammy turned around and saw the snake’s mouth water, Sammy began to back up. Slick slithered after Sammy, the little gecko ran across the desert as fast as his little legs would take him. Slick slithered as fast as he could, but it was of no use Sammy already climbed on a cactus and watched Slick as he slithered down below. Sammy yelled at Slick “aha, can’t get me now slither boy!” Sammy laughed as Slick slithered off, “I will get you one day, watch your back” Slick said before disappearing. Sammy climbed from the cactus, and settled off for the adventure of his life. Sammy walked the plains of the Kyombi Desert UN aware of what dangers faced him in the future; Sammy came across a small deserted town. Sammy walked into the Sheriffs office hoping they would have some information on how to get back home, he was fooled the sheriff was hateful and rude. “I have no information to share with you, and who are you partnered?” The Giant owl asked him. “The names Sammy sir, and I need to get back home to the little boy and older lady” The owl just looked at him suspicion filling his eyes. “Well Sammy … You are headed in the wrong way, and are in the wrong town.” Sammy looked at the owl bewildered, “Leave now before it’s too late” the owl spoke. Sammy backed out the office, and headed towards the saloon. Sammy walked into the place, it dropped silent and everyone stared at the strange gecko. “Well, well look at what we got here boys” a possum walked up too Sammy. Sammy looked around, before walking up to the possum, “the names Sammy and yours is?” The possum stared at Sammy, “Cleatus.” Sammy wandered towards the bar, “what you going to have partner?” the bartender asked. “Water” Sammy grabbed the glass and drunk it dry. The bartender watched in amazement how that little lizard held all of that water, Cleatus wandered over to Sammy. “So where you from” Cleatus asked, “a glassed in box in my little boy’s room.” Cleatus and the rest of the gang busted out into laughter, “you’re … a … PET!” Sammy had put his head down ashamed of where he came from, “well it don’t make no difference” Sammy muttered. A strange rooster named Crow walked over to Sammy, “every pet that wondered to these parks faced the Buzzard, a harsh and cruel torture you would have to face to show your place in this town.” Sammy took a big gulp before speaking, “Buzzard? Has anyone survive this torture, has anyone ever showed their place in town?” Sammy asked so many questions. Crow took the little gecko by his arms and tossed him outside to the Buzzard, he tossed a gun before disappearing back inside the Saloon.
