Prologue
FOR THOSE OF you out there, reading this, I sincerely hope you take this seriously. I mean, c’mon! I’m risking my wings just to tell you guys this!
Anyways, when Angels fell from heaven that day, they were called the Fallen. They could not return to heaven. So, hundreds of years of hiding since then, children have been born of these Fallen Angels. These children are called Nephelim. You’re probably wondering, what does this have to do with anything? Well, Hang on! I’m getting to that part.
It all began on a normal January morning, about a year ago. Here we go…
Chapter 1
"DON'T FORGET TO finish page 77, activity 8" Mr. Jackson said to the class. I picked up my backpack and was walking out the door when my friend, Ricky walked over to me.
"Dude, did you see Marissa picking her nose? I swear she flicked one at Mr. Jackson!" Ricky whispered as we walked out the door. I shook my head, saying, "Only you would notice a girl picking her nose. Plus, she was on the other side of the room."
We stood by our lockers and got our stuff ready for our next class, Art. History class always gave me a headache, so I stopped by the water fountain. That was my first clue that today was going to be weird. The water didn't flow into an arch.
It went straight up. I looked around, but no one else seemed to notice. I ran from it towards building 2. I should have ran the opposite way.

I was burst into class just as the bell rang.
"Late" Mrs. Harrison said, handing me a detention slip.
"But I walked in before it rang!" I whined.
"The definition of 'on time' is being in your seat and ready. Now go sit down, unless you want another slip" she said, flicking a page in her magazine lazily.
I gritted my teeth and sat down. I hated Mrs. Harrison. As I looked outside of the window, I noticed clue #2. All the plants outside seemed to be glowing. Now what I mean by that, is that the plant it self seemed to glow in pattern, like a heartbeat. That should have clicked in my head, but again, I had no idea what was going to happen.
