Prologue

It was time. They had been planning for this for a long time. This you might ask.

What is this this? This was another dimension. Another universe. Another world.

NASA had put a man on the moon. Why no another universe. Another dimension? They had been on this for weeks. No months. No, years. How did they do it? No one really knows.

“You ready?” John asked Ellie. “Not really. But I’m just nervous.” Said Ellie. “Plus I don’t think I’ll ever be ready to go into another dimension. Or universe. Whatever you want to call it.” They had been scientist before all of this.

They had come up of the theory of another universe. Usually highly trained people went on a trip like this, take someone’s fame. But they got to go. They created the project after all. Did you ever ask yourselves if the people who built the Apollo 11 ever wanted to go to the moon? They should of. After all they built it.

John and Ellie were the two only people going on the trip. If something went bad that meant more people died. So in this case the more the merrier does not really apply.

They got to go because Ellie came up with up with the project and knew more than anyone about it, and John because he built this so if anything went wrong he could fix it. They had met over three years ago and were close friends. They also had one other friend who couldn’t be here today.

They had worked together to make this portal. Well it was sort of a portal. It was a big round metal circle that was programmed and stuff like that to make something to let they travel to a different dimension. (The middle was not made out of metal so they weren’t going to walk into a big wall of metal.)

They met each other not long ago and just about trusted each other with their lives because in something as risky as this who or what else was going to watch your back?

They were going on a 3 to 4-day trip and were packing for any condition because after all they didn’t know what to expect.

Then the door opened. In walked a person shutting the door behind her.

“Taylor!” Ellie screamed practically breaking everyone’s eardrums. “Ellie!” Taylor screamed in response. They ran up to each and hugged. Taylor was their other friend that had worked on the “portal” with them.

“Why are you here?” Ellie asked. “Not that I don’t want you here its’ just that I thought you said you were not going to be here today.”

“Yeah remember how I said that I was visiting my parents and that’s why I cain’t come, well my mom said something came up, and don’t ask me I don’t know, so I can come with you now!” Taylor said smiling.

Ellie looked at her smiling, “Well then you can help me pack and I’ll help you. Did you bring bags to pack in?” she said.

When Taylor nodded she said, “Ok but you’ll only be able to take two bags, one big one small. Or you can take more if your prepared to carry all of it.”

“I’ll take two.” She said blushing. In first grade she actually started going to a real school, because her mom home schooled her before, and didn’t know what to take so she basically took everything she thought she would “need” and ended up taking like two or three book bags and falling down every five minutes because it was too heavy. After that she never packed a lot of heavy things or things period anywhere.

Taylor went back out to get her bags and then came back in. They both took out a lot of clothes out of Ellie’s car. She had brought some clothes that she would choose from and was now grateful that she brought a lot. Ellie and Taylor were that same size so they decided that Taylor would use some of Ellie’s clothes. They both sorted the clothes in two piles, one for cold weather like long sleeves shirts and another pile for warm weather like wearing shorts and stuff. They packed most of their bag for cold weather because if it was warm they didn’t need as much stuff. They were mostly worried about freezing to death than melting to death.

They packed their clothes in the bigger suitcase and packed their more personal belongings in the smaller bag. They carried deodorant, snacks, lotion, chap stick, a comb, small soap (in case there is actually water over there and they can take a bath), and other accessories like water and stuff. They didn’t carry no make-up and jewelry because it would be a waste of space time and make the bag heavier.

John was packing similar stuff. He also had two bags but they were smaller because he didn’t have to carry all the stuff woman did. Even though he had a smaller bag he also in addition had to carry this big bucket/container of food they were bringing and now because Taylor was coming he had to carry way more.

Since Taylor came they decided to postpone the trip by a few hours. They gathered all of their stuff and dropped it off next to the PAG. They decided to call the portal that and it standed for Portal and Gateway. They put cameras around their necks so they could take pictures and had also took some jars to put stuff from the other place in. They decided to wear some short-long sleeved shirts that stopped just under the elbow. And they wore shorts that stopped under the knees. After they were done packing and everything they still had about two hours left so they decided to have a mini party and go to the cheese cake factory. They got one big strawberry cheese cake and also went to Walmart to buy a big 2-liter bottle of sprite.

When they finished buying everything they went back to their room, the room beside the PAG.

“Hey Ellie pass me the sprite.” said John.

“K but were about to leave in like 25 min and we need to be there 20 minutes’ prior.” Ellie said. They had been “partying” for about half an hour now and finished just about everything.
