Day 1:

Today I went to live for some time in other city. In the evening I was celebrating Ligo fest with my friends and relatives. Later I got an invite to private house party. We danced and singed. I have never seen so much food. Party organizers made a Swedish table. Everyone who pased this house were jealous. They looked how much fun we had and wanted to join us, and some were even dancing near fence. Later that night even more people joined out company and we all went to park. There was another dance party. We were dancing so attractive that other people on dance party joined our company. So we danced until the morning came.

Day 2:

Today I slept until noon after last night. One of local guys came to my home. He was vaunting about his succesful hunt near lake side. I guess, rest of that day stood still.

Day 3:

Today I got an invite to visit another interessting city-Aglona. Legend tells that God’s mother came to that city and people built church near area where she was seen by people. We walked all around city. Church and whole complex of buildings around it was amazing. Everything was in white color. We went inside church there were many beautiful icons. Later we went to balcony. There was a huge icon with God and his mother on it, and under icon were many pieces of jewelry. Above icon, on the ceiling was Eye of Providence symbol. Text on icon was in Latin. Under icon were displayed many pieces of jewelry with Eye of Providence on them. After seeing all of city’s sights I got invited to a pick nick near lake. I bought some food, drinks and went there. We had a great time and weather was wonderful. Not a cloud in the sky. Later I was singing for everyone on local stage. Everyone enjoyed my concert.
I stayed in that city until evening. Then people who invited me there gave me a ride back.

Day 4:

Today I went sightseeing in city where I lived now. I didn’t have much time because I was going back to my hometown that evening. There was graveyard that was completely destroyed during the war. I saw crosses that had bullet holes in them. Later I went to lake area. There were figures of humans and animals made out of wood. When we went up the mountain, there were small houses that were built by Germans during the war.

Germans were hiding in those houses(so they wouldn’t get shot). Lake itself was huge. Many people were fishing there. Water was transparent and I could see fishes, cancers in there. There were many beautiful white water lilies in the lake.
After trip to lake I packed my bags and went to bus station. I went back to my hometown.

Day 5:

Today I went shopping. I found something useful for my house. I wanted to buy a gift for my relative, but I just couldn’t find what I wanted. Today I got back to work. I got really exhausted at work. And today it was like in a sauna at my work.

Day 6:

This morning I went to watch new sci-fi movie called “Zero hour” with my friends. It was like private watch because we were only ones there. Everyone else usually is at work in the morning. Movie was about device which could stop all electric devices and it got stolen.
Later that day I went shopping. I bought something really cute at the new store.


Day 7:

Today was my birthday. I don’t know if I was working hard today or hardly working. :D After all of days work was done, I went to our building’s roof. I took food and drinks there. My work colleagues came to congratulate me. They gave me amazing gifts. One of them was flower made from candy. I love it!

We were eating and drinking red wine. We were joking about work stuff. Suddenly, uninvited guest came to our table. It was guy from my work. He’s desperately in love with me. I don’t like him, so I didn’t tell him about my birthday and invite him. He found out somehow and came. I treated him politely, even though, I didn’t want to see him there. I gave him piece of my birthday cake. After that he decided to clear roof from other people, so our company would be only ones there. That was really nice of him.

Day 8:

Today I went shopping. I bought new travel bag because old one ripped apart. I’ll never buy bags on sales again. I also bought present for my relative. At the mall I met Angel. Angel is one of my friends. He was guiding a tour and telling tourists about our city.

Day 9:

Today I went shopping and bought this cute pink dress. Later at work I laughed about this accident. I know, it’s not good to laugh at others, but it was so funny. Woman fell down the stairs. She looked like superman returning from the mall.

:D Her hands were straight, in front of her and she didn’t let go of shopping bags. Luckily, she didn’t break anything, but all the food in the bags was destroyed.

Day 10:

Today I’m going to visit Liepaja. I got an invite. Liepaja is beach city and is divided by river in two sides- left and right. I can’t wait to see local charity shop “Otra Elpa Pludmale”. This shop was made based on project I wrote, so I’m partly responsible for shop’s existence. When I arrived, person who invited me there met me at the bus station. They(people who invited me) had quite a program for me- in few days I’ll stay there. They planned to show me almost all city. First, I went to their home to leave my travel bag there and get something to eat. After we ate all our company went shopping. First shop we visited was “Otra Elpa Pludmale”. I was surprised to see Elina there and she was surprised to see me. Elina is other charity shop’s “Otra Elpa”, which is in Riga, owner. I looked around shop, we talked. I just love the design. After that we went to shoe store near and I bought beach shoes. We went through the city and I looked at city’s sights.
City itself was very beautiful. Liepaja is city of seven winds, so you can never know for sure what weather will be after few hours. After we went through city we came to beach. On the beach everyone was in his own element. No one argued or discriminated others. Everyone was nice and friendly. I had a great time. We were swimming in the sea, playing handball in the sand. I even got tanned. After all day on beach we went to look around left side of the city. There were many graffiti’s on the walls of buildings, but they all were about peace and friendliness. On every door of huge mall there is sticker that says, “You are welcome!” When you leave the mall, on the other side of the door there is sticker that says, “Thank you for visit! Come again!”
They showed me old time buildings that are left from Swedish times.

It was five o’clock when we arrived home. And the storm started. We were dining and talking about city. Later one of women said to me phrase from Lady Gaga’s song: “Don’t be a drag, be a queen!” Makeover party got started. We all put on new clothes, tried new looks and new styles of make-up. After we were finished I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror. Guys were shy.
Later that evening we went to see harbor. There were so many ships. I saw the only one battle ship that is left in my country. :D There was a small arena and young people were sitting and drinking beer. People in Liepaja are friendly. Young people were informals, but from different groups. They weren’t fighting or arguing like it happens in my city. After we looked around harbor we went home.

Day 11:

Today I got invited to diner. Before diner I went to look at other side of the city. I saw more historical buildings. We went to city’s market. There were selling many types of fruit, that was offer of the day, but everything was very expensive. There were many beautiful flowers. At the market I met Janis. This guy works at “Otra Elpa Pludmale” shop. Today was his day off.
Unfortunately, almost all shops were closed and I didn’t buy any souvenirs. After long walk around right side of Liepaja, I crossed bridge and came home. At 14 o’clock our company arrived to diner. We had such a great time. We were talking about our adventures and life in different cities. This family likes to go shopping to Los Angeles, they brought home many souvenirs and clothes. They gave me a bag filled with fashionable clothes and make-up.
After dinner party I took my stuff and went to spend a night at hotel.

Day 12:

Today in the early morning I returned home.

I saw Angel, he was showing tourists our city. I went to local shop to buy food. Then I went home. I prepared and went to work. After work I watched the news because many things have changed before I came home.

Day 13:

Today there was charity event (people donated their stuff to employees from charity shop “Otra Elpa”) on central market, but I didn’t attend because had other stuff to do. I donated my stuff to the Red Cross. We have so many charity organizations, but they still can’t help everyone who is in need. Many people are just to shy or ashamed to ask for help.

Day 14:

Today I had a busy day at work. At work I met colleague, who I haven’t seen in a while.

Day 15:

Today I went shopping because one of largest mall’s had a sale. I bought new pair of sunglasses. Old ones broke apart after another party.

They were selling clothes, bags make-up, but I didn’t like quality of those things. At work there was another scandal because our guests saw something that they shouldn’t see.

Day 16:

Finally, Saturday is here and I was planning to go sunbathing on the beach. Unfortunately, plans got ruined because someone broke into my garden and stole poles from the fence. Fence was lying on the ground. I ordered new fence poles made from tree. They got delivered very fast. I called my family members and together we fixed the fence.

Day 17:

Today those who invited me to Liepaja will come to my city. They won’t be long here, but, at least, I will show them part of the city. After I said goodbye to my guests, I went shopping. I bought new perfume. It has sweet and fresh smell. I was at home, suddenly my phone rang. It was my neighbor he told me that someone broke into our garden again. I was shocked. I called my relatives again. They came after hour and we went to garden. When we were driving by other gardens, it looked like tornado ruined their fences (not the burglars).

It looks like the same gang that was here yesterday came again. They are taking the last remaining metal parts from gardens to sell them. They never were so desperate.
Someone from other garden owners wrote a note to burglars, “There’s no metal for you to take!”
The only thing to do is to replace metal parts with wood. Then they won’t have interest in going to gardens.

Day 18:

Work week begins again. Today I went to donate my stuff to the Red Cross and charity shop “Otra elpa”. I think, I had too much stuff at home that I don’t need. When I was walking out of the mall, I put on my glasses and they broke and lens fell out. I guess, you just can’t buy qualitative glasses in the mall. When I told this to my friends in “Otra Elpa”, they started to tell about all other defective stuff they bought. Importers must think my country is some kind of dump where they can sell their defective stuff. It makes me so angry.


Day 19:

Today I went to shop (where I bought defective sunglasses) and wanted to change them for new ones. Apparently, sellers don’t know the law. Because I can return glasses within two years after they got broken even if I bought them on sale. Ok, I’ll find someone who will remind them about the law.
When I came to work, this guy was telling me how much he loves me (again) and I’m acting cold towards him. Of course, I’m acting cold! How am I supposed to act? He’s never there for me, when I need his help, but I’m always there for him. He disappoints me. Today wild cat wanted to attack me and I called this guy for help, but he was nowhere in sight. I don’t know, how that cat got into our facility.
Every day this guy disappears for two hours somewhere.
So, is he working hard or hardly working? :D

Day 20:

Today I’m celebrating name’s day. In my country we not only celebrate birthdays, but also name’s day. Today security guard went somewhere and completely locked down all our building.
One of my colleagues was furious because she couldn’t get in. I tried to find key to the door, but there wasn’t spare key. Then I remembered that she could get into building through the roof. She went up the stairs, me and other colleague opened door to her. After work we gathered on rooftop and were celebrating my name’s day. We were talking about movies, love and how local shops fool tourists and they should be punished for that.

Day 21:

Today I went to post office. I had to send parcel urgently-work stuff again.
At work I was talking to one guy. Our facility needs serious repair works. He told me that air conditioner once fell down on the floor, that’s scary. Luckily, no one got hurt. I don’t know, what’s the deal with air conditioners. Many air conditioners will fall down soon.


Day 22:

Today was my relatives birthday. She lives so far. I had to go across all city to see her. We haven’t seen each other for a while. People nowadays don’t pay much attention to blood ties.
Actually, because of close bonds and good relationships between relatives some nations don’t die out.

At work people who didn’t congratulate me on name’s day did this today! I have great work colleagues! :)

Day 23:

Today I went to my garden. I gathered some berries. I still was looking over my shoulder because I heard someone digging in the wood. Those could be people gathering blueberries or they could be burglars. Later I went to local shop to buy frames for paintings I made.

I want to give away my paintings as gifts to my friends and relatives. In the afternoon one of my friends called. I didn’t see her for quite a while. She gave me present. We didn’t meet at my birthday, so she gave present to me today. After some chat in her car, we went to the mall, which is far away. I didn’t recognize it. Last time I was in that mall when someone called the police and told that there’s bomb inside. Of course, everyone got evacuated and after police checked all building there was only one hour left before closing time. We went through all the shops. After that we went to city centre. When we came to center, unfortunately, most of shops were closed. We went to shopping centre “Origo”. There’s another sale going on. Usually, I can’t find good clothes on sale, but today was an exception. I told my friend about this new store on the third floor, but she didn’t want to listen until I saw add that said they have sale out. Then she started to run there. :D We bought new outfits.

Day 24:

Today I woke up too early. After dinner I went to meet my friend. We went to the same shop that we did yesterday. On one of the racks I saw T-shirt. Writing on T-shirt said: “Your mother is rabbit!”

:D That’s so funny. Again successful. We bought many cute clothes. After that we went to buy coffee. When we went in café’s WC, we were shocked. It looked like in one of those horror movies. Everything was dirty and flooding. Later we were sipping our coffee at the bus station. Suddenly, some guy came straight to me. He just stole perfume of famous brands in the mall and he wanted to sell to me them for half price. He said, “They sell this stuff for such high price! It’s not fair! I’ll sell it to you for half price!” I said, “No, thanks!” Then he started to offer this stuff to my friend, she also said, “No, I won’t buy!” It’s because some people buy stolen stuff from guys like this one there still are shoplifters. :( And he was even vaunting - he showed money he earned for perfume he stole.
We couldn’t shake this guy off for long time, but after we did, we went to city called Dole. We were resting on the beach. Later went to her place. I inspired her to give away her stuff to charity shop “Otra elpa”, she started to gather stuff. She didn’t find bags to put clothes in. We went to shop and when she bought bags seller said, “Do you need a bag to put those bags into?”

That was so funny.

After we returned, we gathered all the stuff and went to my place. At my place we read some magazines, talked and then she went home.

Day 25:

Today I got up late. At work we have a complaint book. Everyone can write their complaints there. I read it like a humor magazine. Today there were two complaints that sounded like end of the world. One said, “It is dangerous on the lower level of building!” Other said, “It is threat to your life to stand near elevator area, ceiling will fall on your head!” I got curious and went to lower level and there was nothing special. Air conditioner fell from ceiling again, there was a big hole in the ceiling. I guess, our building will collapse one day and burry us all under, but there’s much time before that. One of my work colleagues is on vacation and I miss her. I was last one that went home. Security guard locked the doors again, but luckily he left key in the door lock. I opened door and security guard came into the building from outside. He was gasping for air. He said, “Thank you! You saved me! I went to close the door on the roof. Someone locked it from inside and I didn’t have spare key. If you wouldn’t be leaving now, then I would be left locked outside the building!”
I guess, sometimes locking the building can backfire.

Day 26:

Today one of my acquaintances, that works at local radio station, gave me a box full of CD’s as gift. One of greatest gifts I ever received. All CD’s were with Latvian music. Songs are so beautiful.
Later that day I went to charity shop “Otra Elpa” to donate my friend’s clothes. Today was a rainy day and on rainy days there are not many customers. After that I went shopping to one of city center’s shops and bought more outfits for work.
When I came to work, I read complaints in the complaint book. One of them said, “There’s unknown liquid leaking from air conditioner!” Second one said, “Unpleasant smell after cats!” The second one made my day.

:D It turns out smell comes from ventilation system. :D

Day 27:

Today I woke up early. It was a beautiful sunny day. Later sky got covered up by grey clouds. I suppose, no sunbathing for today. Today at work was another scandal. Janitor turned place, where he keeps his tools, into dump. My boss was really angry. She made him clean the place and throw away unnecessary stuff. Security guard was against that. He said, “If he will throw away all brooms, then we won’t be able to clean after ourselves!” Why some people are so attached to old things? Why they don’t like changes?
After work I went straight home because rain started. Later that night storm started. Television went dead(like it usually does in storms). It was tropic storm. Luckily, light was working and I could turn on PC.

Day 28:

Today I went for a walk in the city. It was very hot - 33° Celsius. I haven’t seen so many tourists in the city for long time. Looks like they had a great time.
Today at work security guard told me that we have kleptomaniac on the loose. Stuff keeps disappearing. We have cameras everywhere. How someone mentions to take something with all those cameras in the building? He said, that he’ll have to start searching everyone’s bags if stuff will continue to disappear. Why me and others have to suffer because someone is taking something?

Day 29:

Today I woke up early. Sky was covered with grey clouds. Later that day sun showed up. I went to garden. There I gathered cucumbers and berries. It’s cucumber year again! They are growing not within days, but within hours. I was talking to my neighbor, when I heard car go by. Someone was loudly singing in that car. Soon after that we heard sound of metal being pulled off the fence. My neighbor said, “Oh, great, the metalists are back!” I laughed. No, they don’t listen to heavy metal, they steal it from other people’s fences. There’s nothing anyone could do about this.

Day 30:

The final day. Tomorrow I’ll return to social network. Today I spent at home. All day I watched movies and read books. There’s nothing better than a good book.
