The End or the Beginning


2/17/2038. “ We interrupt the regular programming to bring you this special newscast. It has been discovered that in rural South Carolina that there was a husband and wife expecting a child. 23 year old Anita Fayard is in her eighth month of childbearing. Since the unknown virus that has spread over the entire planet has hit which caused the sterilization of all fertile people on earth, this comes as hope for mankind.”

She has been taken to a local hospital for examination and testing to see if they can isolate the reason why she is able to give birth. Mrs Fayard is the first person to become pregnant since the virus hit eleven years ago.
Attending physician Dr. Paul Winston said the mother and child appear to be doing well and is still trying to find out about the mysterious pregnancy.” 2/18/2038. “This is a special report just into the newsroom. Mrs. Fayard has died and given birth to a stillborn child this morning. We repeat, the mother of the only know child to be born since the virus died this morning and the child did not survive. We are back at the end of the world now and can only pray for a Miracle.”
