My mother sighs and glares at me with the same green-brown eyes as mine and makes her way toward me. "Do you not remember when I told you that you must always have a grade of 95 and above on all of your subjects?!" She raises one of her hands as she makes her way toward me and slams it in my face. It stings but I fight back the urge to cry. I look at her feeling myself burn with frustration. She sees that and slaps me again "Look Jen, I already told you not to have a grade like that so," she takes a breath slowly trying to calm herself "please explain to me why you have one."
"I don't know mom; It was a 94 just one point difference." I hear myself yelling now "Why get so worked up? I'm going to do better, I promise you I will so please stop. I'm fed up with it!" Once I finished speaking I regreted what I said almost automatically. Her eyes were on fire, at this point I couldn't do anything to stop her.
She balls up her hand, lifts it, and punches it in my face. "I'm trying to F**k'n help you for the future! What I'm doing right now is also part of that! In a matter of fact, get out." Her breath got faster and heavier. Like a lion, she is ready to attack anytime. Her black hair falls to her face and she puts it in place behind her ear. "Get out." she repeats calmer now.
I stare at her like she's joking but I see it in her eyes that she isn't. "Okay, don't come looking for me later." I say with defiance. I turn and walk out of the living room to my bedroom and see my dad outside of my room. His usual bright blue eyes are now gone replaced by dark ones. I look at him "You have something to say too? Well you don't have to worry anymore, I'm leaving"
"Don't act like that Jen, it's not nice." my sister says walking toward us. "You know dad won't do that to you. He never does anything bad to us so stop."
She's right. Dad never did anything bad to us; He's always helping us and having fun with us. And most of the time he comes to help me when something like this happens. I look at my dad. His eyes are sad like he just lost his most favorite thing in the world. "I'm sorry dad, I'm taking it all out on you, sorry."
"I don't know what to do now." He says
"It's okay, I'll leave and find somewhere to sleep. Maybe at Jacey's."
"No," he says immediately "You can't do that, you have to stay. You can't leave."
"Oh, but I am. I have to- I want to." At that I turn and head to my room.

I grab two duffle bags and fill it with clothes, money, food, and other things that might be necessary like my phone, a toothbrush, and a toothpaste. I also take my bookbag for school and put all my school supplies in it which also includes my laptop, calculator, etc. As I take my time to pack I see a neckalce under my bed. It was a long gold chain that wrapped around the pendant. From what I can tell the pendant was a agate stone. The agate stone meant protection and strength, which I had found out by doing a project for in school. I put on the neckalace and smiled at it's beauty. It was nice to have these kind of things once in awhile it just makes me happy.
After I finished packing my things and headed to the front door to leave my little brother ran up to me and gave me a hug. "You're really going to leave?" he looks at me and I see that he is trying to hold back his tears. He was a 7-year old boy who my mom and dad cared for the most because they never wanted a daughter; They always wanted a son. I look at him nodding and remove his hands from me and see the tears fall from his eyes. That made me want to cry too so I got out the door as quick as possible before I show him my tears too.
My arms are wrapped by a gray fleece sleeve that belongs to my black faux leather jacket that I got for my 17th birthday just a few days ago. It is now that I realize that I actually like it. It fits me perfectly and doesn't crumple my muscle tee into a wrinckled old lady.
I take my time making my way through the woods looking for any sight of people or homes and along the way. I trip over several roots and some random things and finally decide to change out my boots for a red converse. As I tie the laces I feel something coming. I look up to see what it is and although it is very dark and hard to see, I jump at the sight of it. "Wolves," I say to myself "Oh my god." I quickly bend down to finish tying my shoes and stand back up looking for an exit, or so I thought.
I was surrounded by maybe 16 or 17 wolves staring at me right in my eyes. I wrap my hands around my bags and when I do a creature stepped forward. I had to hold my gaze to get a hold of what it was - Cerberus.
Cerberus? No way... that's impossible but I know for sure that the creature in front of me has three heads. But why was it with wolves? No, the main question is what's going on here?! There is nowhere to run or go to! What do I do!?....Fight.
Hearing my last thought made me laugh which made Cerberus flinch. I mean if it had heard my thoughts it would have laughed too. Fight. The thought came to me again but why? It didn't make sense; I can't fight in a matter of fact I can't do anything at this point but stand and wait for me to be gobbled up. Right at that moment Cerberus came charging toward me. I close my eyes and wait for the pain but it never came. I slowly open my eyes and see a wolf in front of me attacking Cerberus. What was going on?
