Life
Life, what is your little game?
Playing for high stakes,
Or is it to you all the same?
Are you exceptional or no great shakes?
I don't care, but don't be tame.
Life, you have presented us with a brainy computer.
That presented some difficulties - oh, donor.
You had better handed us over the directions for use.
Now we have to get by with an abacus.
Life, your imposing monologue appeals to me
Like a mysterious melody.
We decipher you more and more,
But you are more puzzling than before.
We masquerade as your master,
Trying to plaster,
That you do the conjuring tricks.
And we are your respectable guinea-pigs.
We live under the law of the jumble,
Muddy waters tumble.
Still a medley now I am madly in love.
But I smile back at the powers above.
